Great location, the bus stop is right there, the First cable car is right there, and it is about 10min away from the train station, just out of all the tourist noise. The room had an amazing view from the balcony, which had two chairs and a table. The owner was very helpful. The cable car to Pfingstegg is also minutes away. Good breakfast, and set back from the road so quiet.

Just returned today 26/2/22 after a 6 night stay with the family. Was a last minute booking direct with the hotel after switching from France. It could not have been more perfect as I hate walking in ski boots and the chidren were able to switch between skis and snowboards as we were right next door to the First Gondola. The hotel was charming, Lovely rooms with balconies overlooking the mountains. The owner was very helpful and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast daily.. If they added the firepit tables outside the bar this would be an added bonus after a days skiing. Will definately return..

This is an amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt looked after. The room was spacious and the view from the balcony of the Eiger is nothing short of spectacular! The balcony allowed us to view the mountain day and night. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms were serviced every day. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast has a great selection of cereals and meats/cheeses. We also ate numerous times in the attached restaurant, and we were amazed by the quality of food on every occasion. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and I would definitely return if I visited the area again!

We spent 5 nights here. Beautiful large valley view room with a great view over the valley and the mountains. The hotel is located right next to the elevator to First. You are not bothered by the hustle and bustle of the elevator or the center. Friendly and helpful staff and owner. Breakfast is prepared with great care every morning. Every morning there were homemade treats, bread and/or cake! You can park your car on the site in front of the hotel, behind the Alte Post restaurant.

Our 3rd visit to this lovely little hotel with a fantastic view of the mountains. Extremely clean, traditional in decor, and perfectly located in the town. The breakfasts are lovely and simple - the food is fresh, and delicious. Very Swiss in theme with a variety of cheeses, meats, yogurts, musli, breads, fruits and eggs. Everyone at the hotel is very welcoming. I love coming here!

Description holds true, no more no less. Staff is friendly. If you want to visit or ski on First, hotel is literally next door to gondola station. Overall charming chalet hotel with omnipresent mountain feel. Hotel is quiet at night, also thanks to its location behind the main street.

This hotel was everything we wanted. It was next to the gondola, First. Ann, the owner, made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. The views of the Eiger were superb. It was quiet and cool at night to sleep. We highly recommend!

The hotel is quite centrally located. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The lady who did the booking and checked us in Ruth is wonderful and warm. The breakfast is good too. Definitely worth a stay. Also it is right next to the adventure zone of Gribdlewald and within walking distance.

We stayed two nights at this really nice classic Swiss chalet hotel with a very good location, just like 10 minutes walk to the rail station. Super friendly and helpful staff. Although we room wasn't face the mountain, it was clean and everything we needed. Sitting at the balcony was one the most relaxing things to do.
Impressed with their welcome drink and the checking out with a pack of Swiss chocolate gestures, as well as their really good continental breakfast! Their restaurant Alte Post was just downstairs with great food. Grateful for the hospitality!

Booked on the fly, a bit pricy, but then again gondola on the doorstep, central location in town on the main street with all shops, restaurants, and cafes just a few minutes walk away. Our room was very nice, good size, impressive balcony view over the mountains. Breakfast included, friendly staff, and free parking.
