Hotel Chiusarelli is located right in the historical centre of Siena, city of art that still nowadays remains rooted in its traditions, among which is the famous Palio. The hotel is set in a neoclassical villa built in 1870. The renovation of 2013 has added a modern touch keeping, however, the original style of the palace that, with its magnificent frescoed rooms, makes our guests feel like stepping back in time The hotel has 48 rooms with all the amenities: bathrooms with bathtub or shower, fresh linen, hairdryer, safe deposit box, air conditioning/heater, telephone, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV. Some rooms feature a balcony overlooking a green area. In the restaurant within the hotel “Gli Orti di San Domenico” you can taste typical Tuscan dishes in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The rich breakfast buffet is served in a wide and bright veranda starting early in the morning. The hotel offers also a small private car parking, a large terrace and a small garden. Pets are welcome!

The hotel was nice and clean. It’s situated near the hotspots of the city centre. We booked a twin room, got a double. The room was in the basement next to the street which was a bit noisy. But the room has air conditioning. The breakfast room is lovely, breakfast itself was fine.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, which is why we have always stayed here when visiting Siena over the years. The option of car parking is key in that there is nowhere more central you could stay whilst still being able to park a car (note the parking is an extra charge). The hotel itself is very old school. The rooms are quite nice and sizeable enough to be comfortable. Our room at the back of the hotel overlooking the football stadium was very quiet. It was however a bit cold during a cold snap at the start of October before the heating in the hotel has been turned on. Service is a bit gruff and breakfast is no more than ok.

Dear Mr. Mark, thank you to have left your positive feedback about your stay at the Hotel Chiusarelli: we are so glad to know that during your stay you have appreciated the fantastic location, close to all the main tourists attractions and the shopping area in less than 10 minutes. We are happy also to know that you have loved the hotel, dated 1870, with the rooms and the bathrooms recently renewed with all the modern standards, and the option of car parking: sure we have a small free car park and a small garage with an extra charge, but close to the hotel, in 5/10 minutes walking distance, there are many free parking areas. We are a little bit sorry that the breakfast is just ok, but since the rules anti-Covid, at the moment is an assisted buffet, so is a little bit different, with the fresh food served by the waiter. We hope to welcome back in the future, if you'll come back in Siena again. Yours sincerely, Marco reception.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was ideally located, just across the road from the central area of Siena and with a free (at the weekend) car park just round the corner. Also, most importantly, in the time of Covid, they strictly followed the protocols, unlike other hotels we stayed in whilst in Italy. They even cleaned the keys before handing to us and a pen. The lady receptionist also carried our heaviest suitcase up 2 flights of stairs!

We are so grateful to know that during your stay you have appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, and how we follow strictly the protocols rules about the Covid, the perfect central location, from where to reach all the most important tourists attractions, and also for the parking, free at the weekend until the end of September. Also to help our guests with their suitcases, is just our pleasure. We look forward to welcome you again in the future, if you'll come back in Siena. Yours faithfully, Marco Reception.

It’s very difficult to pick out any negatives with this hotel, we had such a pleasant stay. The reception staff were very professional and helpful. The room, and the hotel in general, was very clean and designed in a really nice manner. The bed and the room in general were super comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and well equipped. Breakfast was superb for continental standards, with a huge choice, and there is a lovely dining area where you can enjoy your start to the day. The hotel was happy to hold our luggage for us too. Its location is also very good- less than a minute walk to the nearby Basilica, and around 10-15 minutes to the centre. The value for money is outstanding too considering we managed to pick up a one night stay for under £40. Really cannot fault this hotel in anyway.

This hotel is located in a great spot for walking the Siena sights, and the staff were very nice and helpful. BUT there was so much not to love that I ended up paying for 2 nights and leaving in the afternoon after only one night. Negatives for me: I had booked a single room so I get a single bed and a tiny closet of a room (more typical of a huge tourist city like Rome, but OK). The single bed had a lump to one side and a dip in the middle - so bad I had trouble sleeping and woke with back pain. The "hot" water could only be described as mildly warm. The breakfast was below average. Sorry - I must have missed the homemade stuff! The "free" parking was a 10 minute walk away and was a public lot with very limited spaces. I did not feel safe as a single female alone checking out in the early morning hours and walking there in order to make my flight in Rome. Ultimately, I left early paying for another hotel in Rome.

Dear Mrs. Annalisa, We thank you to have left your feedback about your stay at the Hotel Chiusarelli and to have appreciated the good location, close to all the main tourists attractions in less than 10 minutes, and for the nice and helpful staff. By the way, we are disappointed about the review and for the 40 % score. Let's start with your room: you booked a single room, and on all the websites there are pictures about it, and the description how the single room is; a single room, is the same if you are in Siena, or in Rome, or in other cities. About the hot water, after this review we went to check it (all the other guests in that room never told us about some problems), but the hot water was ok. Breakfast buffet is one of our stronger points, since is loved by the most of our guest. About the free parking, on the various website is written there is a parking area at the stadium, at the cost of 2,00 Euros per hour, free at night, and Stadium parking is just close to us, at 3 minutes; there are many free parking areas at 5/10 minutes walking distance from us, and Siena is a very safe city, and we don't understand why you left after just 1 night. We accept constructive critics because they help us to improve, but here we don't see any of those. Yours faithfully, Marco Reception.
