My son and friend had been traveling for over two days. This was their first time traveling alone and abroad. They arrived late into Florence and couldn't get into their apartment so I booked them a room at the Old Florence Inn. It was only...More
We stayed at. The Old Forence Inn for 7 days and it was ideal. Prior to arrival Florio sent us a map with directions and from arrival to departure he was an excellent host. Everything in the historical area is within walking distance and the...More
The B&B was clean & conveniently located and the owner was friendly & welcoming. It is very close to the train station and many of the main sights in central Florence can be easily reached within a few minutes of walking. The room was spacious...More
Large, clean and comfortable rooms and a most welcoming host. The only disappointment was the breakfast, which is on a tray left in the room the evening before. Although convenient, it consisted of sweet, pre-packaged products - don't expect anything substantial, fresh or healthy.
Old Florence Inn is a good Florence B&B and Mr Florio is a great character. Rooms are comfortable, clean and rustic while having good bathrooms and an excellent shower! Very close to the station and convenient for all Florence attractions. Down side was the very...More
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
