Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.

This was the most boring hotel in our euro tour. There's nothing to look forward to when staying here. Art is whatever, the rooms are sad and it's definitely not in the happening section of Florence. Overall, really boring.

We booked a quadruple room for one night. We stayed exactly for 10 hours. Needed a place near Rifredi Station. So we never went with high expectations. There is air conditioner, clean beds, elevator, no hot water kettle, basic bathroom. That's it. 1 or 2 veg options in

Would be ok if classed as a 2 star hotel. Very difficult to find first time by bus. Bus stop is outside hotel on same road. Just too far from centre of Florence. Breakfast was adequate for a continental breakfast.

The neighborhood which this hotel is in seems kind of unfriendly and has nothing to do with the beauty that other parts of the city have. The hotel is very old and needs renovation. Our room had a door which was not lockable so you could basically get in the room without any

How do we get to Pisa airport from the hotel please?
you can go by taxi but it is very expensive, or go by taxi or bus to the main station and take a train or the special bus direct to the Pisa Airport. The cost of the bus is euro 7,50 and you can reserve by mail at the following website : autostradale. The cost from the Hotel to the bus terminal by taxi is of euro 12,oo /15,oo acording to the traffic and by bus of euro 1,20, but from the bus stop to the terminal you have to wait for 500 mts. Not all the trains to pisa goes straight to the Airport and you must change train at the Pisa Central station.
