The Piccola Sicilia is a very lovely B&B with the amazing and most friendly host Raffaella.
It has two very clean rooms, each with a modern and clean bathroom.
You will get an amazing breakfast with self made cake and the best tips for what to do in Palermo.
We stayed there only for two nights and enjoyed the walking distance to all the sights and the possibility to park our car in the neighborhood.

Let us start off by saying that the owner, Raffaella Saba, is a one-of-a-kind gem. She is sweet and hospitable. She also takes a lot of pride in her business.

When we had our first breakfast, it was a sight to behold. It was laid out beautifully on a table in the middle of a dining room/library. She made homemade yogurt and freshly squeezed blood orange juice. She purchased freshly baked brioche with powdered sugar on top- delectable! We never had a better brioche than what she had on her table. Raffaella also displayed fresh fruit, fritata with potatoes, peas, and asparagus, French-pressed coffee, and a variety of teas.

The orange room was delightful to sleep in. The room was painted and decorated in the colors of the Mediterranean. The beds were very comfortable. We were lucky to get the room with a balcony. We got to see a slice of Sicilia life just outside while enjoying the evening. Several men picking through boxes of strawberries before they were ready to sell them in the market.

We highly recommend Piccola Sicilia! Raffaella and her family are lovely people. Palermo is very lucky to have them!!!

This B&B is scrupulously clean and conveniently located within walking distance of most of Palermo's major sights. The room I stayed in had a large private bathroom and a separate dressing room. The neighborhood was quiet at night. What truly sets this B&B apart, however, is the hostess, Rafaella, who is warm, knowledgeable, speaks good English, and sets a lovely breakfast table including homemade yogurt and sweets. I spent my first three nights in Palermo here and had such a good experience that I booked the last night of my vacation, as I also flew out of Palermo.

We had originally booked to stay at Dimora Del Capo, but a day before were told that we were staying here (presumably due to a double booking.) Initially wary of the switch, it couldn't have worked out better! After a disastrous flight (3 hour delay) and horrendous taxi journey (driver trying to rip us off) we arrived at the b&b at 2am. Rafaello was there to meet us and sorted out our debate with the taxi driver. There were homemade muffins waiting for us in the room (which is lovely and very spacious.) The next morning we had a delicious homemade breakfast, we really felt like guests welcomed into a home. We wish we could have stayed more than one night!

This was our second stay at Piccola Sicilia. As before, we were made to feel very welcome. Two particular strengths of the B&B are its location - just 10 minutes on foot from Teatro Massimo, yet our room was very quiet - and the gorgeous breakfasts, which included delicious homemade yogurt, home baking and freshly baked bread. Eggs and cereal were also on offer. In addition, the B&B is excellent value. We would strongly recommend Piccola Sicilia.
