This was a fantastic find, as is the city of Cagliari itself. Great hotel and great location near to all the restaurants and travel hubs. Faultless! The hotel is quite quirky with some lovely antique furniture and an antique toy collection carefully placed and presented in and around the rooms in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked in to the hotel for our honeymoon and chose one of the 3 junior suites. Definitely worth paying the extra. The room was split level with a reception room and bathroom downstairs. You then ascend a spiral staircase to a vast bedroom and large ensuite in the eves. Very romantic!
The restaurant strip is located a 2 min uphill walk from the hotel. The transport hubs are located a 2 min walk downhill from the hotel. Would highly recommend taking a bus to Poetto beach. There are 3 buses from the piazza at the bottom of the hill (PF, PQ and the Poetto express). All take approx 20 mins. Just download the CTM App, buy your 90 minute ticket for Euro 1.30 and off you go! The beach is inundated with beach clubs and bars. If you want a relaxing time then wander up to the far end of the beach and visit the Frontemare beach club or the Belvedere club. Both charge between Euro 20 to Euro 30 a day for 2 people, including towel, parasol and loungers. It's table service to your loungers and the food and drink selection is fabulous.
When you're ready to go home just google map the nearest bus stop, buy another bus ticket through the CTM App and off you go. Simples!
The sites of Cagliari are easily reached on foot and are amazing photo opportunities.
You won't be disappointed by the hotel or the city and nearby beach, unless you're a fan of minimalistic, characterless hotels.
If it's a buzzing nightlife you want then visit the Poetto beach clubs after dark. They're numerous and open until 4am at weekends and 1am in the week.

Very professional staff.
5/5 cleanness.
Very good breakfast.
Large enough rooms.
It has a shuttle service from/to the airport which is very helpful and costs 25€/car.
Otherwise there’s a nearby train station to reach the airport by train.

A bit old design and furnitures, lamps flickering.

This hotel was just a delight. My room had an elegant private terrace. The Aircon was great. The hotel is from the 30s and lovely with lots of turn of the century furniture. V stylish. It's one minute from the centre on a lovely quiet square. The staff were adorable. It's family owned and run (and a small boy may follow the waitress around the restaurant). A fantastic restaurant --outside on a shady terrace-I went every night. Amazing food. In short reader, it just doesn't get any better than this.

This hotel is fantastic! There is so much to say about it. It is in a beautiful old building, and immaculately maintained. Our room had two balconies that were fantastic, and a very large bedroom with a bathroom, and another bathroom with a large bathtub. It was a two story room. We only stayed 2 nights, and we wish we had stayed another two nights. The location is fabulous, One block from the Main Square in One Direction, and two blocks from the waterfront in the other direction. Their breakfast is delicious, and their dinner restaurant is superb! The staff is very kind and very helpful with anything at all that one would need. I highly recommend this hotel. We can’t wait to return.

Hotel Flora is in a great location in Cagliari, close to all the sights. Best of all is their staff from the front desk to the dining room, we got the best reception. Our room was very comfortable with all the amenities. Buffet breakfast had a wide variety to satisfy any picky eater. We had dinner 2 out of the 3 nights we were in Cagliari and throughly enjoyed the dishes prepared for us. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.

The hotel is in a central location, close to the old part of town. We didnt get a very nice welcome at reception when we arrived, not very friendly. The room ( a junior suite) was very nice except for the presentation of the bed, wrinkled bedsheets, no bed cover or spread. Very poor.
A special thank you to the staff who were preparing breakfast. Extremely nice ladies. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before due to covid restrictions . Good breakfast.

Hotel Flora is located 3 min walk from train/bus station, near plenty of restaurants. We walked all famous sightseeing spots in Cagliari from hotel, even to San Benedetto market. Room has a good space, 102 had a nice balcony with nice table and comfy chairs where you can enjoy nice evening. Very solid building, so no noise from other guests. The best of all is the service. Cleaner, front, waiters at the restaurant, They are friendly, helpful, and professional. Great choice of breakfast. What else you can ask the hotel!? We will stay here again if we ever has a chance to go back to Cagliari.

I had a flight delay with my airline. I recommend this hotel because they could have been greedy and ripped me off and charged me more, but did not. They were able to accommodate me for arriving at a different time than expected. I feel like this is rare in the travel world.

This was the type of positive experience that makes me want to come back and makes me want to see Sardinia again. The people here are so kind, it is refreshing.

We stayed here for a 2 week break and had an enjoyable time. The room was very clean and the room servicing excellent, with clean towels and bedding renewed throughout our stay on a regular basis.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful, with a special mention for Francesca who was so lovely and informative.

You have to hand to to the Italians, they know how to make you feel welcome. If the French have chic, then it must have been something they developed after visiting Italy. Hotel Flora is a very nice example of a Sardinian family run property with a good deal of history behind it. And now in the 21st century, you have 24hr Reception, a very nice restaurant, lift to all floors, and staff who a genuinely friendly and pleased to help. Rooms are well laid out, beds are a good size and firm but relaxing, mini bar/fridge (modestly priced by European standards) safe, toiletries, Flat screen TV, free Wi Fi, A/C and regular room servicing. We didn't notice any noise from inside or outside and slept well considering the heat (39 during the day). Breakfast is continental...that is fruit, cereal, cheeses, cold cuts, bread, boiled eggs, juice, croissant, cake...and omelettes to order. There are also freshly made hot beverages provided by a nice chap who asks politely what you'd like. Its all clean and very well maintained and the staff speak English (to a degree) which was far better than our attempts to speak Italian. This place is also held in high regard by the locals and there are more internal tourists than from abroad....which is not a bad thing when you think about the way some UK holiday makers behave. Food locally...is lovely, so is the Sardinian wine and beer. Go out and eat around 20.30/21.00....then go have an ice cream afterwards. Cruises often dock at the quay and the town suddenly becomes busier with all sorts of nationalities....Brits, Germans, French and those from the US (the hotel has a link with the US Forces from WWll) which makes the square bustling and tables at the Bistro's popular. Don't worry, there are plenty pf streets to explore and dozens of places to eat.....and all of them are fine. One point to remember, carry a bottle of drinking water, man its hot (oddly enough there aren't many places to 'buy water/soft drinks') and sometimes you just need fluid...not a menu. Hire a car and do a bit of sight seeing further afield (careful with the traffic -
its nuts) or ask the hotel to organise an excursion. Hotel Flora is very well situated and you will not be disappointed with your choice....and Cagliari is a Great place.

The station is at the end of the line, the hotel is literally 5mins walk from the station. Exit the station at the front, turn left cross the road at the crossing, the side street you need with the hotel is in front of you. Trains every 30 mins cheap service.

The marina area is pretty flat. It gets more hilly towards the castle district. At night some streets are closed to traffic and restaurants set up tables...can be crowded for a wheelchair...but a lovely area.

I initially booked a junior suite but was told there was no balcony so rebooked a deuce double which had a lovely bacon and sitting area. Forget about views...balconies face the back overlooking a parking area and residential buildings but are quiet comfortable. Not exactly private or secluded as you have plenty of neighbors who can see you....but I don't think anyone is particularly interested. The Deluxe Double room we had was very large and very nice...
