Great hotel, location and service. We booked a room with a view over grand canal which was worth paying extra for, it’s not like you will have this view everyday at home😀. There is so many offers and deals right now in Venice due to less tourist then normal due to COVID. We are super happy with the location as my hobby is to enjoy markets and cafes / bars around them and this bullseye 🎯 for my taste. The staff was super helpful , the booked us a private motorboat to pick us up outside the hotel for us to do some sightseeing around the canals with a guide they added a bottle of Prosecco into our ride as well he n request. I can recommend this type of activity as well as you will get to know Venice from a boat perspective. What was also surprising was the the great breakfast.. I read some reviews that they had great breakfast but I was skeptical to these reviews as everyone has individual tastes. I personally spend a lot of time in very good hotels with amazing breakfast and I can consider this hotel as one of them. The room we had was modern with a very nice bathroom, if I need to give a negative remark to a fantastic place is the room was a bit small but that didn’t matter as we were not in Venice to sit in a room😀. We had a furry family member Mia with us and shel also enjoyed the stay. Strongly recommend this place.

I loved this hotel! Location right on the Grand Canal, next to the amazing fish and vegetable markets of Rialto. Very close to vaporetto stop and the Rialto bridge. Worth paying the extra for canal view rooms where you can watch all the Venetian action right below you. Lovely rooms and bathrooms, excellent buffet breakfast and staff who will go out of their way to be helpful. This was my first visit to Venice but I’ll be back to this hotel.

When we arrived from our long flight (flew in from AZ) it was very late. We were starving and tired. We asked if there was somewhere we could go to get a bite to eat and they quickly made us up some warm sandwiches. It was just what we needed and was greatly appreciated.

When we arrived to our room there was a bottle of chilled prosecco and a plate of fresh fruit to great us.

We had a beautiful room with a view of the canal. The windows shut out any kind of noise and had shutters to keep the room dark.

We were always welcomed when we returned from our day out and thanked when we left. The staff was professional and warm.

Would stay there again for sure!

Great hotel in a perfect spot for all of the Venice sights. Overlooking the Grand Canal, a very short walk to the Rialto Bridge and approximately 10-15 mins walk around the winding alleyways of Venice to St Marks Square. The rooms although not huge are modern and extremely well looked after - I would recommend booking a canal view, watching Venetian life go by is wonderful. The buffet breakfast has a nice selection of hot and cold items and during the afternoon you can chose from a nice selection of refreshments at the outside tables overlooking the water. To end the staff are incredibly friendly and we’d like to thank them for helping us out with an unexpected extra night, at a reasonable rate, after our flight was cancelled when we’d already checked out and arrived at the airport!

The hotel is very well located on the Grand Canal close to the Rialto Bridge and away from noisy streets. The room view to the Canal is stunning. I could spent the whole day watching and never get bored of it. The staff is excellent. They do an exceptional job, always smiling and polite, always helpful. The room was clean and modern, it had everything you might need. Breakfast was decent, due to the new rules it was only a la table and the staff did an amazing job to serve everyone quickly. I loved my stay there. Even though I have visited Venice 3 times before, this time I enjoyed it even more due to this amazing stay.

Well located hotel only minutes from Rialto. The building has been sympathetically updated and the rooms feel quite special. Room service and cleanliness was probably the best I have experienced anywhere. It was almost as if had our own dedicated room staff. Breakfast was served in the dining area adjacent to reception and was more than adequate both in quality and quantity. All the staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. No dinner service and a small bar but with so many restaurants and bars within walking distance it wasn’t a problem. Really loved our stay there and will return.

We stayed here as a family for one night in the spring of 2023, occupying several rooms with grand canal views, along with one of the apartments. The hotel is in a great location for those who enjoy walking (it's equidistant from the train station and Saint Mark's --an approx 20 min walk to each) and feels pleasantly removed from the crowds. The staff was kind and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and comprehensive. If you're willing to splurge on private water taxis, they can call them to the dock right outside the hotel and take you wherever you want to go. Be aware that the decor in this hotel is very dark and there are a number of unexpected stairs throughout (including in some of the rooms). If you have mobility concerns, make sure you inquire about that before booking.

Honestly can’t fault this hotel . The location is amazing, about 2 minute walk from the Rialto bridge and about 10 (if you don’t get lost ) from the main square . The room was clean and comfortable .
The staff couldn’t do enough for you . They were very accommodating of my gluten free needs at breakfast . I was worried with how the buffet breakfast was going to be with COVID , but everything is wrapped up and two people allowed at the buffet at a time and must wear mask . This made me comfortable and made the stay easy and fun . The hotel is adapted well to the current covid situation

Hotel L'Orologio is a well located hotel on the Venice Grand Canal near the Rialto Market. The rooms are well appointed, clean, and offer great views of the Grande Canal. The hotel serves a full breakfast. The location is close to restaurants, shopping, transportation, and wonderful site seeing. Water taxis can deliver you to the hotel private dock. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our short break here, staying in a room with an ever changing view of the Grand Canal.
Maps handed out as you check in to help you get around but if not sure just ask at reception and they will point you in the right direction.
Our room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast buffet choice was good with freshly made coffee served by friendly waitresses.
Location was perfect, we used the Actv waterbuses, with the nearest stop Rialto Mercato, the fish market, a few steps away. Check out day tickets on Venicelink.com.
Would be very happy to stay here again.

I was there in December 2019, a few shops were closed due to the floods but the hotel was not affected. We packed waterproofs and did not need them at all. If I had not of known about the floods beforehand, it would have been very hard to tell.
