On the banks of Giudecca Island, a thriving artistic center of Venice, stands a modern Venetian Masterpiece. The Molino Stucky, once a flourishing flour mill, is now internationally recognized as one of Italy’s iconic pieces of industrial architecture. Beautifully restored, it now houses a hotel unlike any other, offering a unique view of Venice. A bold statement, with 379 rooms and suites, the hotel manages to balance intimacy with scale. A place of comforting guest bedrooms and unrivaled restaurants, ballrooms and meeting areas. Guests enjoy the best of both worlds. A short, five-minute boat ride from the heart of Venice, Giudecca Island provides peaceful respite from the intensity of the city and is exceptionally well served by easy access to the airport and rail station. If all this isn’t enough then there is the largest spa in Venice, outstanding service, fine dining, rooftop pool and bar with breath-taking views over the city and shuttle service.

Nestled in a quieter part of Venice, the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice hotel is lauded for its professional service and stunning views, though some guests find the experience occasionally impersonal. The hotel's comprehensive amenities, including a praised breakfast buffet and executive lounge, are well-regarded, despite minor suggestions for improvement. While the rooms are celebrated for their blend of elegance and comfort, a few guests have noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance. The value of the stay receives mixed reviews, with some concerns about extra charges, but the shuttle service is often appreciated for its convenience.

A very nice hotel with mostly positives and a few cons. The staff was amazing and attentive to any needs or questions we had. Our room was also cleaned every morning before we got back from our excursions, this is something that’s been lost in many properties in the USA. They also recognized my Diamond status and upgraded me to a junior suite before I even arrived, again something I don’t see much in the states. The room was great and had two separate areas which my teen daughter appreciated. It was nicely decorated and had Murano chandeliers. We also had views of the canal and San Marco in the distance. One draw back is that you have to take a boat shuttle to the main attractions but Hilton does a great job with two comfortable boats that run throughout the day. They charge you $15 per person for your entire stay no matter how many times you ride. I felt dinner was a little pricey and not of the quality I get when visiting my home in Southern Italy. A hamburger and fries was 32 euro. The breakfast was free as we were diamond members therefore a great value for us. The selection was not as great as I’ve had in some other places but overall was very good and acceptable. The only thing I would change is for some of the items to change slightly every couple of days. We stayed for four days and seeing the some different items would have been nice. The lounge bar area is set up nicely with plenty of areas to sit. We utilized the executive lounge which was a bit narrow but we never had any issues with getting a table. They served Prosecco, white and red wines, beer and one cocktail, usually something similar to a aperol spritz. Some hard liquors would have been nice as I have seen in other Hilton executive lounges. The food is also very limited but I appreciated what they had for no cost to Diamond members. They also had a great coffee machine, along with waters and sodas, cheeses, fruits and small snacks. The rooftop pool was also great. The only negative would be that you have to reserve a two hour slot in the morning at the desk by the front entrance. The area is nice but cannot support the many guests at the Hilton at the same time. The pool has amazing views of Venice. They also have a bar and rooftop lounge adjacent to it. They also have a free shuttle boat to Murano. They must have a deal with one of the companies as they bring you to there location where you see them making glass items and then get a to walk through a huge store that is like a museum. Your not pressured or required to buy anything. Overall a great and beautiful hotel which I would definitely recommend.

Dear Guest, Thank you for posting your positive review on Trip Advisor and for sharing your opinion on the Hilton Molino Stucky. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated the room upgrade and benefits that you have received as a HHonors Diamond member, as well as some of our facilities. We booked a short notice stay at this stunning imposing hotel as we had been recommended it.
The location is perfect if you want to be slightly away from the throng of noisy tourists.
The hotels shuttle boat provides access to St Marco every 30 minutes to late at night and for a very reasonable charge you can use it as many times as you like. On one day alone we went on the shuttle 6 times !
The hotel has had a refurbishment in many rooms and they are luxurious and comfortable.
I spent many hours watching the breathtaking view from our 5th floor tower canal window.
The VIP lounge next to the reception desk is a great addition and offers lovely cheeses and snacks in the late afternoon.
The team at breakfast were warm and welcoming and the reception team were engaging, professional and went above and beyond to support our onward travel plans.
The rooftop pool is calm and relaxing and a true retreat away from the busy streets of Venice.
My thanks to Massimiliano and Constance for leading and supporting an incredible team.

Fantastic hotel to stay at in Venice. It is a large 'American' style place and so alot of cruise tours do hotel their passengers here. It used to be a flour mill so it is an old building but is totally rebuilt. The location is not on the "main" island of Venice but they have a boat that goes there for a fixed daily price unlimited trips. The staff were great at all levels. No issues with the room or housekeeping etc. The rooms are a bit small though which considering the hotel size, it is surprising . The buffet breakfasts were great and they had an executive lounge too for light meals after 5pm. There are not coffee/ breakfast places near it unless you trek to the SanMarco island where all the action is. So getting the BF on top of the room is highly recommended. Will definitely stay here next time we are at Venice.

As to get there from airport: we could do the public bus/boat Aliluaga or some other name like that, blue line. BUT that would take 90 min or more as it has many stops and if you are exhausted after a long trip and have suitcases, it can be an issue, The hotel suggested a private water taxi and they reserved it for us and it was expensive but worth it. Same thing to go to the train station: you can only go via boat with the same stipulations again. So transport to and from hotel is expensive unless you are traveling very light and dont mind the long waits..

Excellent hotel in Venice. Hotel is gorgeous, very historic, right on one of the canals, one of the best breakfast buffets in Europe I have experienced and their executive lounge (though small) is an excellent benefit as well.

As Diamond Members you receive complimentary breakfast and complimentary access to their executive lounge.

Their breakfast buffet is very comprehensive and the food/beverage quality is really good as well. They even had free-pour bottles of prosecco so you could mix your own mimosas which allows you to get your day drinking off to a quick start.

The bathroom was large and modern by European hotel standards and there was plenty of hot water in the shower as well.

The hotel staff and management were great and this is certainly a well-run establishment.

When we arrived at the Venice Airport we walked to the dock and booked a private boat to the hotel -- it wasn't cheap but it was cheaper than booking one through the hotel. Once you are at the hotel they have a ferry that shuttles you over to the main island -- I think there was a nominal daily charge for that service but I don't remember. When we checked-out we had lots of time before our flght so we just took the public taxi boat back to the airport. I think it made a stop at the train station first, then you changed boats and it took you to the airport. It was easy, efficient and a lot cheaper than a private hire boat.

This property was a big disappointment overall despite the wonderful location and beautiful exterior. In terms of positives, the breakfast room had ample choices and great staff (pleasant and observant), housekeeping was solid, and it is very easy to get transportation all around Venice from the hotel. In terms of negatives, the Executive Lounge was one of the worst I have ever experienced in terms of food, atmosphere, space, and the like; the hotel internet kept dropping; there is no place to work even though the hotel markets itself as a events/meeting location; front desk staff are insufficient or slow and, relatedly, phone calls were never answered in a timely fashion; communication was poor with it necessary to repeat many discussions. The room design also is highly problematic: shower leaked water onto bathroom flow like crazy; room did not have any artwork, but just cheap wallpaper with scenes of Venice; and amenities/teas were not from Italy and some of the furniture seemed like "standard army issue" from other Hiltons. There was nothing at all that made me feel like a Diamond member at this hotel. I will not go back and fortunately it seems there are other good options on Giudecca and surrounding islands.

Spent two nights here end of October and this hotel is just lovely , clean and 5* quality . You get that feeling the minute you walk in . I was impressed with the room we had it was beautifully decorated with lovely small touches, a dining area and lounge area . We didn’t get a canal view but if we paid a little extra would could have but I wasn’t too bothered as we were out most the day ! Skyline bar was gorgeous and the water shuttle is very frequent and takes you across to st marco and back for €15 per person for the duration of your stay . We did notice that the shuttle left @ 6:25pm one evening which is 5 mins before departure time - think it’s important to stick to the timings - there was no reason on this particular day for it to have left earlier than scheduled . I found breakfast to be lovely and plentiful . I loved Venice and so glad we chose this hotel . I would have felt a little overwhelmed staying on the main island with the mosquitos and drainage smell so for me this was perfect option ! Pool area was closed and we didn’t get round to seeing it but bare in mind that you are given a slot during peak times and it’s not a pool you can use at your leisure when you please . Thanks Hilton for a lovely stay :)

We had an Executive room (with a view of the Grand Hotel) which allows access to the Executive Lounge next to reception. However the Executive lounge wasn't being monitored and often other guest walked in and on numerous cases people took drinks/bottles away with them. The air conditioning in the room wouldn't go lower than 19 degrees and each time we left the room, it would reset itself to 22 degrees.

On the first day we had breakfast is a smaller room, instead of the main breakfast room, as it was better. So the rest of the stay we went into the main breakfast room and the selection of food and the service was excellent.

The three restaurant are all well overpriced. Except Mark's Square (which is a typical tourist hot spot), the meals in the Hilton restaurant is double all the other restaurant we ate during our 4 day stay in Venice.

The hotel reception and concierge where both very helpful.

This hotel was amazing! We wanted something more modern, with a restaurant and or bar, and air conditioning (should we need it). This exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We had private transportation from the Marco Polo airport to the hotel. We had private transportation from the hotel back to land to meet a car to take us to our Royal Caribbean cruise out of Ravenna. We booked an executive room which includes a complimentary breakfast buffet each morning at II Molino and access to a small executive lounge that had complimentary drinks and snacks. My Sister notified the front desk that it was my birthday and when we returned from a day of exploring and sight seeing we had a lovely bottle of Italian Prosecco on ice, a card, bottles of water, and balloons waiting for us. We needed to use the business center to print out some tickets and there was no additional charge for this service. We used Room Service on our first day to order a pizza when we were jet lagged. It arrived quickly and it was tasty. A couple of evenings, after sight seeing, we had snacks and beverages in the Rialto Bar & Restaurant. There was a water taxi that ran approximately every 20 minutes from the hotel to St. Mark’s Square. (Reminded me of Disney transportation if you stay in one of their resorts - very organized and efficient). We loved this place and if we return to Venice we would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed one night in this hotel where I took two connecting rooms. One double for the kids and one double for me and my wife. The hotel is beautiful. The festively lit exteriors that welcome you when you arrive by boat, the common areas and the rooms marked by classic luxury. The attention to detail is manic and we found nothing out of place. Everything works perfectly (if I have to find the hair in the egg internet is a bit slow). The rooms we were given, on the fourth floor, have views of the lagoon. Underfloor heating is a cure-all after the cold outside. My wife took advantage of the spa where she had a treatment and came out excited. Also interesting is the executive lounge with a small selection of snacks and drinks. The staff very kind with all our requests. The breakfast buffet is one of the richest ever with desserts of all kinds, included by the spoon. If I may suggest I would put the shuttle that takes you to San Marco more frequently, at least on the weekend. Anyway we loved it and will definitely be back.

Stayed for 5 days- here is the 411! Good things: the breakfast in the am! Huge selection and delicious way to start the day! The pool is amazing, but you have to make a same-day appointment that only is for a 2-hour slot- 10-12/12-2/2-4 & 4-6. Also, folks bring a ton of drinks in the pool to take their IG photos because why else would you have an appointment for a pool? The main through fare is beautiful and reminds me of a really expensive hotel…
The needs improvement: our AC would shut off automatically, all the time! I woke up sweating one night because the AC had shut off in 90 degree weather (sad face). The fragrance sticks smell bad. Maybe it’s hiding mildew or plumbing no nos? The plumbing stinks and will start to bubble as you shower, use the faucet or flush anything. The staff is meh. The concierge has been good, but rest assured (no pun intended) that you will have to call housekeeping at least 3 times before you get what you need and the front desk staff are as friendly as…well they aren’t friendly. The food is overpriced (this is kind of everywhere), but it also takes like it shouldn’t be food. We ate at the bar and Bacaromi. The view at Bacaromi is cool, but eat elsewhere if you can! You will be charged $15 euro/per day/per person whether you use the Hilton shuttle to st Marc’s square or not use it. The funny thing is no one checks your room key, so folks that aren’t staying at the hotel just hop on/hop off for no fee at all! Lastly, it is a very secluded spot in Venice. I joked with another guest that it was like a prison. Taxi drivers to and from the hotel will run upwards and it’s always 70-80 euro to go one stop (to and/or from Tronchetto) just for a 8 min water taxi ride. Look around before settling on this one if you want to check all of the boxes. It’s a fake quality that you will be charged extra for.

There is a restaurant on the same level as the pool. They serve cocktails and food. I don’t know the pool opening hours. When we stayed, we needed to book a pool slot each day.

The water taxi stops directly in front of the lobby entrance to the hotel.....you walk about 20 to 25 feet and you are at the front door. And I suspect you can find hotel staff that will help you with your luggage. And you didn't ask, but there is one and possibly another great restaurant down on the same concrete path to the EAST (to your LEFT as you walk from the water taxi to the hotel.....that are GREAT. Fewer tourists than are found ion the main island of Venice and more LOCALS. Highly recommend.

What is the closest parking and water taxi to the Hilton? We are driving to Venice from Bologna.

Good question! I am guessing that the best and closest parking to the Hilton is to the WEST on the main island. We did take a tour boat on one afternoon and the boat did go around that area to the WEST of Giudecca. The parking area seemed quite large, lots of cars parked there and plenty of of boats with passengers going in and out. However I don't know the schedule of the boats. Hope that helps you a bit. Best of luck.
