Located at few footsteps form S.Marco and Rialto, the hotel is easy to reach by foot from the Rialto ferry station. The staff has been very attentive and helpful. The room, we have got one of the suites, was very spacious and modernly furnished with windows overlooking a small canal and the S.Marco tower. Breakfast was very tasty, even if the buffet was not open because of COVID rule, the staff managed quite good the breakfast a la carte. The hotel is surrounded with small souevnir shops and restaurants but the best restaurant we have been in the area was the hotel restaurant "La terrazza".

Great location in a city that’s a must-see before it sinks/is overcome by water. St. Mark’s Square now has semi-permanent ramps that people stand on to see the basilica. But the hotel is great, a few minutes walk from Rialto Bridge area. Resist the temptation to dine on the square. It’s expensive and not Italian. Only a few blocks off the square are multiple restaurants, like Trattoria da Nino, run by a family, offering great, relatively inexpensive meals in one of Europe’s most expensive cities. We hopped on a “taxi” at the hotel and were driven to Marco Polo in a taxi boat, very convenient and avoiding the crowded commuter boats, for $75 a person. Yup, expensive. Yup, it’s the way to go, despite that.

This is really an excellent hotel. It’s situated halfway between the Rialto bridge and Piazza San Marco. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with all commodities one needs. Rooms are clean. Bed ware is changed daily, whereas towels are changed twice per day. Staff is super kind and helpful. Breakfast is beyond the average Italian breakfast. I would definitely go back!

This hotel is ideally located between St Marks and Rialto Bridge making travel around the city easy. Easily accessibly by water taxi, and reception staff are very amenable and happy to organise items for you.

The room itself was spacious and clean, differing from other venetian hotels which can feel a little more old school. This hotel feels modern and clean.

Only drawback is there is no evening facilities (restaurant / bar) but being so central, it is easy to find food and drinks as you want.

Note: breakfast gets busy with lots of American tourists, so go earlier rather than later.

Palace Bonvecchiati: Its central location and its accessibility from the main arrival places in Venise make this hotel one of the best in the core of this city. Without mentionning the extreme kindness of the personnel, day and night. Rooms are quite large and well maintained

The room was fine but they had put 1 double bed in it, we needed 2 singles. The hotel were happy to change the bed but be aware there was not any gap between them as the headboard is attached to the wall. In the bathroom the hairdryer fell apart in use and we were left another one. The breakfast was very good plenty of choice and not too busy. The location is perfect one direction St Marks Square and in the other the Rialto Bridge.
Overall I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights and both really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, 4 minutes to Rialto and just 5 from San Marco. The room was well appointed and the bathroom included toiletries, my only criticism would be that the hairdryer was awful, bring your own if that’s important to you. The included breakfast was a bonus, it included eggs and bacon and the coffee was excellent. The city was quiet on the Wednesday we arrived and was packed when we went home on Saturday so I would avoid weekends if you can. The free glass of Prosecco at the sister hotel round the corner was a great touch, we stayed for cocktails and it’s a really nice terrace. We will definitely stay here again due to the great location and friendly staff.

I emailed the hotel prior to my trip (3 nights) asking for suggestions, what to visit, guide vs guided tour, museums, etc. Daniel from the front office could not have been more gracious and more helpful. Every recommendations from the places not to miss, purchasing tickets in advance, the stores to go for masks, tipping and rates for water taxis, Murano complementary tour, the guide, happened to be right on point and made the visit perfect. Once there, the staff (minus Daniel on vacation) was as helpful, kind and highly professional; it is a real pleasure to be greeted by your name and without the need to give your room number (past the first day). Among the staff, Ugo deserves a special mention for making the excellent or necessary reservations (water taxi, restaurant) and always with a smile. The room (deluxe) was spacious with plenty of light and the bathroom was huge and very clean. The breakfast was top. The location is great for the quintessential visits of San Marco, Basilica, Doge Palace, the Rialto and everything else, less crowded, is in walking distance.

Fabulous hotel for both location and service.
3 minute walk from Rialto Bridge or 10 from St Marks Square.
Breakfast was great with good variety and no need to wait for s table.
You can get the ACTV (Vaporetto) 3 minutes away at the Rialto stop or the Alilaguna (local ferry) from the same place back to the airport ( Takes approx 49 mins)
Staff speak excellent English and are very helpful.
Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Lovely hotel in perfect location for exploring Venice. The Rialto Bridge is a 3-4 mins walk away. Spotless rooms with really friendly staff. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I would happily stay here again.

No. The hotel does not. But if you cross over the bridge by the hotel and walk up towards San Miniato basilica, you will encounter a beautiful stop where you have a stunning view of the whole historic area and a great place to view the Duomo

I understand it is by person and reservations are needed. I gathered this from comments I heard at the hotel as we did not use it.
