The best way to discover Venice. The Bellini is situated in an elegant 18th-century patrician palazzo in the Cannareggio quarter of Venezia, transformed into a hotel at the turn of the last century. Inside, the luxurious splendour of the 18th and 19th centuries lives on in the ancient marbles and Murano glass chandeliers, all set against rich period decor. Easy to reach and overlooking the Grand Canal, the hotel Bellini is just a walking distance from Saint Mark Square, the heart of the city, in an area abounding in shops and restaurants. Discover the city with the luxury Hotel Bellini Venezia as your base of operations: the special itineraries prepared by our staff will show you Venice from the inside, from new and unexpected points of view. The long history of the Bellini itself makes it the ideal guide to this singular city.

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

Dear Nicole, Thank you for spending your time reviewing your recent stay in our hotel. We are sad to discover that your first impression of our accommodation was not as good as expected; we are thoroughly aware of the fact that original Venetian style and products may not match every guest’s taste, but Hotel Bellini is located in a historical Venetian Palazzo and the preservation of the original decor and furnishings is due to its very authenticity and local regulations define our duties towards this very strictly. We are aware of the fact that sometimes technical difficulties in our ancient Venetian Palazzo can make our guests feel a little bit uncomfortable, its architectural and technical shape actually influence in a positive or sometimes negative way the success of our precious guests' stay. I would like to apologize especially for the inattention of the personnel in satisfying your requests. I believe it was and I will make sure that yours will stay an isolated case. I am quite surprised to discover your issues only now and regret not having the chance to find a solution for you directly here during your stay with me. Unfortunately temporary problems may occur and we are eager to know our guests' impressions and needs in order to satisfy any expectation. Your feedback is very important to us and the aspects you discussed in your review are extremely useful for the renovation works which will be soon implemented in the building. I’m sure that a room change would have been a solution to everything. Please consider coming back to our hotel in the future:I will be pleased to welcome you with our special courtesy and to prove that your experience of Hotel Bellini can be much better. With my kind regards, Ronaldo Furlan

You can leave your luggage in the lobby before you check in. Just make sure the porter knows about this, and will move it to somewhere secure.
