Located right in the centre, overlooking the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. Picture yourself sitting at your junior suite window gazing out at the Rialto Bridge, probably the most famous landmark in Venice. Below, a steady stream of gondolas and boats make their way along the Grand Canal and the water-buses stop a few paces away so that the whole of Venice is at your disposal.

Hotel Rialto garners praise for its quintessentially Venetian atmosphere, blending charming decor with modern conveniences, despite a few remarks about it being somewhat dated. Staff members at the hotel are lauded for their friendly and efficient service, enhancing guests' experiences. The hotel's cleanliness is widely acclaimed, with visitors noting the spotless conditions and meticulous upkeep. Opinions on value vary, with some guests questioning the price point and others satisfied, especially when discounted rates are available. Its central location is a highlight for many, providing easy access to attractions and public transport. While the traditionally styled rooms are generally appreciated for their cleanliness and views, noise and size have been points of contention for some. The amenities, including the rooftop terrace and breakfast options, are well-received, albeit with occasional feedback on them needing updates or improvements.

We have just returned from a couple of days in Venice and staying here at Hotel Rialto.
Firstly the location of this hotel is the biggest selling point, without a doubt. Upon a arrival we chose to upgrade to a room with a better view, and it was worth it as we were on the top floor overlooking the Rialto Bridge. A beautiful view both in the day and by night too. Breakfast was good, plenty of continental choice (ham, cheeses, bread, cakes, fruit, boiled eggs, etc..)
10 minutes walk to St Marks Square and Doge's Palace. So many other sites around and shops and restaurants. So easy to loose your sense of direction but that's the fun and charm of it!
The hotel could recommend restaurants for us to eat at, local and all amazing. They also offered a complimentary boat ride to Murano island. Staff were wonderfully helpful and kind.
The decor of the hotel is very old fashioned and dated but I think this adds to the fun and charm of staying in Venice.
One other top tip I would like to tell others about is the water taxi from the airport, Alilaguna. Do not waste money on private transfers. The local water bus/taxi is located at the end of the airport in Marco Polo (10min walk within the airport). It costs 15euros per person and took us less than an hour. Comfy seats and views all the way.

We stayed for 3 nights in a room with a view of the canal.

Our check in process went well and we had someone escort us to our room and help us with our bags.

The room itself was authentic and quaint. It was very cute. We loved the wallpaper and the view was one you hope for in Venice.

The positives were the room decor, the view, the robes, and there was enough space to unpack and have our suitcases without being too cramped. The location is great as well.

The reason this hotel gets three stars is for three reasons. First, the elevator was broken 80% of the time. Second, the breakfast could come with eggs. Last but not least the front desk was unhelpful and borderline rude. I called the front desk and did not receive an answer on the phone. They called me back and I was told they are very busy and for me to tell them what the problem was. ??? Why does there need to be a problem for me to call you? More than once I felt like I was troubling them. When you speak they also cut you off before you complete your sentence.

I would also recommend this hotel provide an ironing board and an iron. People travel... their clothes get wrinkled and they want to go out to dinner and look nice. This should especially be provided when dry cleaning is not offered. Dry cleaning was not available on the weekend I was told upon check in.

This hotel really needs to provide it's guests with solutions instead of just saying no its not possible. That is their favorite phrase. "No it's not possible."

This hotel is run of the mill. I believe they treat guests this way because of their location and they assume people will continue to show up and book their rooms.

If you want the good location book a room here. But don't say I didn't warn you about the customer service.

Dear Customer, We thank you for staying at our hotel. The unavailability of an ironing board and iron is simply due to the fact that for safety reasons, this is not allowed. For the criticism of the front desk staff, we will make a careful investigation as normally comments are always positive

Rialto Hotel is in a great location next to the bridge, with easy walks through beautiful narrow streets to many of the well known places which make up Venice. Easy to get to from the airport on one water bus, (not a taxi) practically door to door (cheapest way at 15 euro). The room was small and a little hot but we were travelling budget Easy jet 3 night B&B package so fairs fair. Breakfast was reasonable. I would return just to revisit Venice.

Long weekend away for our wedding anniversary. Hotel was pre booked via jet2.com. Unfortunately they did not have any canal view rooms left which I recommend as the views are awesome so if you can spend the extra try to get the grand canal view. Hotel reception staff were very efficient and friendly and all the ones we dealt with throughout our stay spoke good English.

Room on first floor overlooked the side walkway of the hotel so not much of a “view” however I lent out the fully opening window a few times and watched people walking by, making decisions and generally having fun.

Room was very basic, clean, very Venetian in terms of styling, decor, furniture etc. the head board and wardrobe gave me 1970’s Cindy doll furniture lol. Bathroom had all the basic me amenities (no bath) shower was good, though shower head is fixed and doesn’t come off the wall (note women like to have shower heads that detach to wash their nether bits!). Towels supplied, some basic soap and shower gel supplied but i always bring my own.

There was a mini bar in the fridge which was a welcoming touch. I removed everything and filled it with my own stuff and put it back when we left.

Rooms open with an actual key and a very heavy key ring with your room number on it (not great security if you lose your key) I detached the key and put it on a small key ring.

Room service was discreet and very good, everyday we came back to freshly made bed and clean towels.

Breakfast was ok. Lots of pastries, some cereals, fruits, yoghurts. Also boiled, scrambled eggs, bacon and cold meats. Plenty of choice and plenty of seats. They make a great cappuccino and the ladies who manage the breakfast shift are so lovely.

Location wise it’s extremely central, literally next door to the Rialto Bridge, lots and lots of shops, restaurants, gondolas, water taxi’s and public water boats pass by. You can take a water boat from airport to the stop just a short 2 min walk from the hotel and we took the same route back to the airport.

There is always lots and lots of people in this area walking on by so if you like it quiet and minimal people this isn’t the place for you.

All in all a great stay, I would stay here again if I came back to Venice.

Location ! Came here for four nights to explore Venice. From the airport we took the ferry to the Rialto stop. The hotel is SO close to the ferry spot. You will appreciate this when you see others pulling luggage over big staircases and bridges. We were greeted right away. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was ALWAYS someone at the front counter.
The view of the hotel is literally looking at the Rialto bridge and the canal. The location couldn’t of been better. We did come during rainy season, so one morning the lobby was actually flooded but it only lasted til about noon.
They offer complimentary breakfast which had cereal, eggs, bacon, breads, fruit, juices, and fresh coffee.
The rooms were all nice and the bathroom was spacious. The WiFi works great too.
This is a great place to stay !

I decided to spend my birthday in Venice during Carnivale. I booked a room with a view of the Rialto bridge.

The room was nicely decorated in a Victorian period look. The room had a king sized bed but we asked for 2 singles. Although they were still in the king sized frame the mattresses were separated.

We had a fantastic view of the Rialto bridge and all the activity surrounding the area.

They also have a beautiful rooftop where you can hang out.

The room is a little dark but the 2 windows the open up towards the Rialto bridge and canal provided a lot of light.

The bathroom was nice, and the bathtub was deep. However, since I have a lot of mobility issues I was unable to take a bath. Luckily It was a short stay and I was staying with friends so I was able to use their shower. They also had a bidet and that was useful.

So if you have knee, mobility or handicap issues this bathroom would not be good for you.

The room has a mini fridge that doubles as a minibar but I don’t think it was working.

The TV had Italian only stations.

It can get a little noisy at night because the area is a major stop on the vaporetta.

Overall I had a fabulous time and the room met most of my expectations. I will probably stay there again in the future but I’ll choose a room with a shower.

Where to start? We arrived at the hotel after a long journey and we’re greeted by kind and courteous staff, I had emailed in advance to ask for the best view they could give us as this was our honeymoon. We had booked a junior suite, and price wise it was half what I’d expect to pay for a similar room in London. The man at the desk was patient with my attempts at practicing Italian.

Once checked in, we were helped to our room with our bags. Wow, what a room, pink and gold, elegant and traditional but not frumpy, my wife described it as very Ritzy. This, however, was not the headline act. At the end of the room was a balcony with the most insane views over the canal and the Rialto Bridge. Made even better by the Italian flag flying from it.

We went out for some chiccetti nearby, and when we returned, the staff had left a bottle of Prosecco on ice in the room, we were so touched, the perfect way to use that balcony is to lean on the railings, glass of Prosecco in hand and watch the world go by.

In terms of sleep, the bed was comfortable, the sheets soft and the air conditioning adequate. The black out shutters were the best I’ve seen in a hotel room, pitch black at 8am on a June morning. Noise levels weren’t too bad either.

Breakfast was lovely, I’d recommend getting down before 10am to sit outside. A nice selection of various products to cater for most tastes, again, staff were friendly and helpful.

From start to end this was the perfect beginning to our honeymoon. We had to postpone our marriage twice because on the pandemic and we just wanted this to be perfect, it was. From the bottom or our hearts, thank you.

Overall the hotel was ok but lacked a lot to be considered 4-star. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good (with the exception of the cheap juice), and the location is great. We booked a Classic double room because of the fantastic photos on the website, what we received compared to that was a cupboard-sized room with almost no storage. The room was much smaller than expected. The bed was a bit on the hard side and we had to ask for extra pillows as the ones provided were thin. We were there in February but the room (and the corridor) were boiling hot. There was only a wardrobe with hanging room only (three tiny drawers were inside but could fit nothing in). The bathroom was not bad but didn't have much space for storing your things. The shower was in terrible condition - the frame had clearly seen better days a long time ago and the doors didn't close completely.

The capable staff at Hotel Rialto are to be commended for delivering “Service As Normal” after the deluge in November 2019. How they have coped with the difficulties confronted by the floods is remarkable!
My room was clean and comfortable, serving my purposes. The breakfast area may be cramped, but the fare on offer is more than adequate. Location is the trump card of this accommodation, beside the Vaporetto stop at the Rialto Bridge, convenient to all aspects of this wonderful city. I am already planning for my next visit.
