Stylish luxury hotel in a great location near Piazzale Roma and Grande Canale, great service, excellent breakfast! We will come back for sure! One drawback – regular rooms for 2 people are really small! For this amount of money you might expect that the room will be a bit bigger, even in Venice.

Had a great stay. After a long flight from the US, Diego was instrumental in having the housekeeper prepare our room for early check in (I am an AccorPlus Gold Member, so early check in or late check out is a benefit if available).
The hotel is an easy 3 minute walk from Piazzale Roma (place where the buses and taxi drop you off on Venice Island). It is about a 30 - 45 minute walk to the St. Marco Square........depending on how fast you walk and if you get lost. Just follow the signs.
Beds and pillows are super comfy. The room is quiet. Internet reception and tv reception were good. Bottle of water each day. Kettle, Coffee, Tea. Shampoo, Conditioner, Liquid Soap, Moisturizing Cream, Shower Cap, Cotton Buds, Sewing Kit, Slippers you can take home, Air Conditioner (some hotels in Venice don't have it). Box of cookies for AccorPlus Gold Members.
Breakfast 07:00 - 10:30 daily. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with Breakfast and wish I wouldn't have paid extra for it. There is no chef readily available to make omelettes, pancakes, french toast, etc like they have at Novotel, Mgallery, Sofitels in Thailand. They did have pancakes and omelettes, but they were just setting out there and weren't warm. There was cold sandwich meat, some bread varieties, yogurt, different juices, warm scrambled eggs but they were a bit too runny for my liking. Also had about 6 other things I didn't try because they didn't look so delicious to me.
Tip: At the Marco Polo Airport, there will be a ticket office just after the place where the Customs people might inspect your luggage. At the ticket office, you can purchase a one way (10 Euros) or round trip (18 Euros) ATVO Bus (20 minutes non-stop) to Piazzale Roma.
Tip: If you are going to exchange money, then you should know the official exchange rate of your currency into Euros. You can check via the internet before you go. Calculate the amount you should of Euros you should get and then compare that with what they say they will give you. I showed them a $ 100 bill and asked how many Euros I will get..........she told me 75 Euros when in fact I should have gotten 94 Euros. So, they were going to skim 20% of the amount I gave them. Moral of the story..........I never exchanged money and used my credit card instead.
Tip: If you would rather stay near San Marco Square, I will just let you know that the private water taxi is going for 140 Euros one way.

The hotel is characterized by very friendly staff - the location is great - through the park you can reach the central bus station or the departure point for all water taxis. On the other side you can quickly immerse yourself in the student district. The rooms are very individually decorated - we had enough space and a very nice room with a bathtub in the room and a large bathroom. The balcony is outstanding, with a beautiful view of the canal (it would be nice to have a lounger available here so that you can really enjoy the terrace - in a hotel of this price range, more than rusty chairs should be "acceptable"...) The breakfast buffet offers everything you need; from fruit to Italian pasta to very tasty ham and cheese. A soothing oasis for a short vacation in Venice.

Venice can be overwhelming upon arrival at Santa Lucia train station with the options for transport and deciding whether you would need a porter to assist with the luggage and to navigate the narrow streets and more importantly the bridges. Hotel Papadopoli Venezia was only a 10 minute walk from Santa Lucia Station but we opted for a porter to assist with our large luggage especially over the two bridges we had to cross to get to the hotel. The hotel is next to Giardini Papadopoli, a public park. More importantly for those arriving by plane, the hotel is a short walk to Piazzale Roma where the busses from the airport drop you off. Hotel was very well presented with excellent service. Especially enjoyed the outside seating at Giardino D’Inverno, the hotels’ restaurant and bar. We opted for a room on the higher floors that has a balcony overlooking the canal next to the hotel. Room was spacious and very well appointed. Only downside was the air conditioning that didn’t seem to cool down the room sufficiently given the warm weather during our visit. Whilst the location was good for train and airport access, it was a fair walk to get to some of the major tourist sites eg Piazza San Marco. Having said that, once you acquaint yourself to the public transport options, it’s a very easy city to navigate. All in all a great hotel and we will be back.

Our room may have been a little small but it had all the upgrades one could ask for, the lighting, the electric plugs, the shower and it was beautifully decorated, even a fresh orchid in the bathroom. I loved the bed with the plushy pillows and blankets. The AC worked great and the TV was easy to use. We ate dinner at their restaurant twice and service and food was superb. We also had breakfast in the gorgeous dining area and the waiters were very attentive every morning. We love the variety of foods and fresh juices. We'd definitely come back.

This was an excellent hotel I’d highly recommend if staying in Venice.
It’s only a short walk from the train station. On your return the hotel can arrange a porter to help with your bags for only $8 euro per bag - great considering there’s 2 bridges
Rooms were quiet, bed extremely soft. All mod cons and I was impressed it had robes and a turn down service
The best part was it being away from the crowds around St Marcos. It’s still surrounded by great food shops and views but much less hectic
The bar was excellent and the hotel restaurant with garden views exceptional. Didn’t expect to find this level of luxury from an Accor hotel at this price in this location.
The only thing that marred an otherwise perfect stay was the alarms going off 6 times between 1am and 3am on my last night. Weary guests trooped up and down the flights of stairs each time. The alarm isn’t the hotels fault but the communication was poor. No explanation was given and the next day on check out it was not mentioned or apologised for even though clearly it will impact the guests nights sleep. That was disappointing - i think an email or note from management to all guests offering apologies would have been in order.

Visited this hotel for 4 nights in Nov. I arrived by water taxi and conveniently the hotel has a place the boat can moor up outside the front door. The hotel is situated one bridge away from the coach station which is really convenient to get to the airports or to transit onwards. Booked for 4 nights bed and breakfast.
I loved the room and specifically booked a room over the canal and was paid off with beautiful views of the sunrise. Slightly noisy in the morning with the workers going about their business but that didn’t bother me. The room was lovely and I was welcomed with abridged of chocolates, sweets were left everyday and my last night on turn down service I was left a little box of chocolates which was a very nice touch. Disappointing that the tea/coffee tray had just Nescafé which is an average coffee in the UK, I’d have expected something a little more special , saying that even the supermarket didn’t have anything better unless you wanted filter coffee. Tip for hotel, maybe put Nespresso coffee machines in all of the rooms as this is a very nice to place to stay and would enhance all guest experiences. Bathroom was as expected however I was slightly disappointed as previous posts have mentioned Aqua de Parma toiletries in the bathroom (which I really like) but I didn’t receive those. The food at breakfast was buffet style with lots of delicious cakes and pastries along with a hot buffet. I used the bar twice but at €9 for a glass of wine was a bit expensive so I went to the local Coop (about 5 mins walk) for my wine (€6 for a decent chianti). All the hotel staff I came in contact were very friendly and welcoming.
I do recommend this hotel and have no hesitation about coming back.

We stayed very recently 6 days at the Papadopoli Hotel and this stay was on all counts successful. The hotel is very well located, close to the train and bus station as well as the river shuttle terminal allowing direct and very easy access to all the tourist places of Venice, while being very quiet by a small canal. It is very nicely decorated, and the rooms are very well equipped with great taste (we enjoyed an upgrade to a very charming small apartment). Breakfast is bloated and tasty, and both dinners at the hotel highlighted sophisticated and truly delicious elegant Italian cuisine. Finally, the welcome and the service are warm and efficient. The Papadopoli contributed a lot to make it our Venetian getaway particularly pleasant and we will return with great pleasure.

Hotel Papadopoli's location can't be beat if traveling multiple cities in Italy via train. It is located (walking distance) right next to Piazzale Roma with water taxis and Venezia Santa Lucia, which makes it convenient when traveling with luggage. We ended up taking the water taxi to Piazza San Marco (Basilica di San Marco, Museo Correr, Palazzo Ducale) which was cheaper and more comfortable than a gondola, and offered a nice view of the Rialto Bridge. There are several sandwich shops and wine bars nearby, as well as nice restaurants all within walking distance. Hotel staff were accommodating and friendly, shoutout to the evening bar staff for going above and beyond with the bottle service. We did get the breakfast buffet which had a large selection of meats, cheeses, eggs, quiche, pastries, fruit, bread/pancakes, etc. and friendly service. Two elevators, nice furnishings. The room was comfortable, there was one USB charging slot next to the bed, otherwise bring a converter if applicable. The breaker tripped once, but was promptly addressed by hotel staff. One room had a view of the garden, the other did not have much of a view if that is what you're looking for. Overall we had a great stay here.

A return visit - location is ideal, one bridge (with ramp) from P. Roma, station & public ferry, or water taxi - the latter at the front door. We enjoyed breakfasts on the terrace facing public gardens -an excellent ambiance. Quiet area, good choice of restaurants nearby. Atmospheric bar area, hotel is modern but retaining Venetian style and atmosphere. Staff helpful. We found the bathroom a somewhat style over practicality i.e shower over deep bath so will ask for a walk-in shower on reurn.

The hotel could provide a service if you asked in advance or there are porters dotted around the railway station. Depending on the size of your bags, it's not that far to walk to the hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Venice area.
