Venice can be hard to navigate making your choice of hotel location high priority, this hotel is probably the easiest, and a great hotel to boot.Deluxe room was spacious and nicely decorated, breakfast is good and the staff unbelievably helpful. Would definitely return when in Venice.

If you stay anywhere in Venice, you must stay here!

My partner and I booked a 4-night stay at the Riva del Vin and all the hotel staff were fantastic! Always smiling, and always ready to offer advice on the best places to go in Venice. Sylvia and Andrea, especially, were so helpful in recommending local places to eat away from the tourist hotspots. We were even able to watch a free glass blowing demonstration and benefit from discounts on ornaments when we went to Murano on recommendation from Andrea – it was a brilliant day out, thanks to his insight! The staff can also point you in the right direction on which transport routes to use (the water buses are brilliant and reasonably priced if you get a day pass and want to explore the neighbouring islands beyond Venice).

The hotel room we were given (302) was absolutely gorgeous, with fantastic views of the Grand Canal. We were initially worried, having read other reviews, that the noise would be too much but it's just like any other bustling city. If you're a light sleeper, just remember to pack some ear plugs and you'll be fine. In fact, my partner and I really loved listening to the sound of Venice from our windows!

The bathroom in our room was to die for and cleaned every morning to a pristine shine! I was always amazed at how quickly the staff prepped the whole room in the morning – they managed to get everything turned down by the time we finished breakfast! Absolutely brilliant service!

On that note, breakfast in the mornings were splendid – the staff really catered to what we wanted and we had plenty of choice in terms of what we could eat. There was a dark-haired lady who served us most mornings and she was always laughing and smiling. It was just such a lovely atmosphere to come down to from our room in the morning, not to mention you could enjoy people watching next to the balcony while you were sipping coffee and eating croissants!

Overall, we loved staying at this hidden gem in the heart of Venice! We were celebrating our 5-year anniversary and it was magical, partly because of the staff at Riva del Vin making our stay so comfortable. It also helped that the hotel was a stone's throw away from Rialto Bridge and within a few minutes walking distance from all the key tourist attractions. Given the price of neighbouring hotels, Riva del Vin offers a fantastic stay for a bargain price. I couldn't recommend it enough! 10/10!

Dear mrgeorge25, Thank you for the wonderful review you wrote. It shows how much you enjoyed and loved your time with us. Knowing that everything has been to your liking is our greatest joy. The staff is very important to us and they all try to help our guests enjoy their stay and the city 100%. For us taking care of you during your time with us is fundamental and we always try to give you lots of information so that you can experience the city as a real Venetian and not as a tourist! We are happy that you have also appreciated the work of the maids on the floors, who lovingly take care of the rooms, making you feel at home! Even breakfast, despite Covid's rules, is treated with love and we always try to find quality and variety to avoid monotony. The smile of the staff when they say good morning is the best way to start the day. We look forward to having you as our guests again as soon as possible. Kind regards

After much deliberation of where to stay we chose the Riva Del Vin and we were so glad we did! The price was good upon booking and when I emailed with questions ahead of our stay I got a reply within minutes!

The location is fantastic, central and right by the Rialto bridge. Everywhere is in walking distance and there are 2 vaparetto stops close by.

Upon arrival to the blissfully air-conditioned foyer (there was a heatwave during our stay) we were warmly greeted by the lovely receptionist, given an upgraded room and some recommendations of where to eat.

The room was lovely, opulent decorated and all areas were super clean. Breakfast was continental and delicious in a room that overlooked the canal (if you are lucky you might get one of 2 window seats).

We would recommend this hotel to anyone, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was faultless!

Absolutely in love with this Hotel.
perfect loaction, the rooms are amazing and individual. We had 2 different rooms, one with Canal Grande view which was right off the Breakfast room, but it wasnt noisy at all as the room had 2 doors to keep noise out. Breakfast is split into time slots (due to Covid) and the woman who was organising it all by herself deserves a medal, she was amazing and fast and deserved some help to be honest.
Reception was helpful with everything and speedy at replying to emails prior our stay.
I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat, absolutely amazing.

This is an expensive hotel for what you get for your money . We did stay in a comfort room which at weekend is nearly 400 euros a night . The room and en-suite is so very small that you could not do more than a couple of nights and too cramped for 2 people . We stayed B and B but would recommend room only as the breakfast is extremely sparse , like it’s rationed . On a positive the staff are mostly lovely , especially the lady who serves coffee at breakfast and the hotel is a good location . I do think having looked since that there are a lot better hotels to stay in when in Venice

Good morning Mr, Thank you very much for your review. We are very sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. Our hotel is located in front of the Grand Canal and overlooks the Rialto Bridge. Our breakfast is continental and is located on the first floor overlooking the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal lima. Our guests are usually very satisfied with our breakfast variety which is really plentiful, It could be that you find yourself at the right moments when we are replacing things on top of the buffet. However, criticism is always important to help us improve our serviceand we will certainly treasure your advice. On the other hand, we hope to have you as our guest again to experience first hand what I not only explained to you, but also what is evident from the reviews of our welcome and beloved guests. Best regards

A short bit sweet stay at Riva Del Vin but it was mostly very positive.

The staff are exceptional, very friendly. Great breakfast, loads of choice with stunning views over the Grand Canal.

Location is perfect, a minutes walk from Rialto Bridge with loads of restaurant as nearby, gondola stations outside and the water taxi close but a scenic walk from the main Piazzale Roma (if you get the bus from the airport) is still possible, took us around 20 mins.

Mini bar in room well stocked. All the bathroom toiletries you could need were provided. Decent beds. I found our room quite dark, we was at the end of a corridor and the window looked directly at the adjacent building which was touching distance away so let in little light but that’s Venice for you!

A very pleasant stay. Thank you Riva Del Vin!

We stayed four days in this well located hotel right on the Grand Canal and it was perfect for our needs. I wanted a reasonably priced room with a view on the Grand Canal that was centrally located for seeing the city and this place fits the bill. The room and en suite were clean and spacious, the breakfast room was large and sunny with windows onto the Grand Canal, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful - esp Dan and Claudia, and there is a secure luggage area if needed. You are just steps away from the Rialto Bridge, San Silvestro vaporetto stop making for easy access to all parts of the city, and canal side restaurants (ask the staff for which ones are a cut above the typical tourist joints).

This boutique hotel has it all- most importantly Elisabetta V. and her entire staff were warm, welcoming and made excellent recommendations. Centrally located on the Grand Canal, Ms. Elisabetta created a prime location to view the annual Regatta with lovely refreshments and company. The rooms were spectacular. A perfect place to stay in Venice.

I was booked into this hotel for 6 nights and paid $1,589.82 USD and then came the Covid-19 virus.
My cruise prior to my stay was cancelled and any monies paid refunded, my airline flights were cancelled and monies refunded and then of course Italy was not letting US citizens into the country and with all this said and explained in detail to the hotel they still would not refund my money.
I would warn people to be very cautious dealing with this establishment. Might be a pretty place but they obviously have no compassion for their guests !!!!

We stayed at the Grand Canal view room for 2 night as part of our 22days italy tour. Coming from the south of capri, positanonand sorrento, Riva Del Vin is a fantastic boutique hotel that lives up to a high standard of boutique hotel hospitality. Andre was great! And the team was just so pleasant. The housekeeping lady (shes just lovely - the lady wearing spectacles), the mitre D' , the night duty front desk staff (sorry can't recall the young man's name!) We felt welcome, taken care of, and everything was lovely. This hotel has lovely views, lift, a breakfast dining room. For its price, you get value. Highly recommended.
The alley to the hotel's entrance has a resident cat, and has a fantastic dinner resturant at the end; Antica Osteria Ruga Rialto. The location is easy to access

I second that a car in Venice is useless. No cars or bikes allowed. You can park it in the one parking garage at the entrance to the island, and walk 35min to the hotel (or take the vaparetto to Rialto).
