Hotel's Favourite
Travelled as a couple in November, stayed for 3 nights (Fri-Sun). Lovely little hotel in the centre of Venice, right between the Rialto and San Marco Square. Very helpful staff provided instructions in advance on how to arrive by water ferry and other events happening in Venice during our stay. Our room was a double dependence with canal view, which was located just around the corner from the main hotel and had a large window which overlooked a small canal. Very pleased we decided to spend slightly more to watch the gondolas passing our window down below. The room was a good size for Venice with a compact bathroom including all the essentials. Shower was on the smaller side and hot water took a while to come through but the water pressure and temperature were great once you got them right. Only drawback was the street was slightly loud overnight on the first night of our stay which woke us up several times. Overall, could not be happier with our stay and would return again!

We were originally due to travel at the end of March but for obvious reasons our trip was delayed and we moved the booking to August. We arrived from the Airport by Aliguna getting off at Rialto just a few minutes walk away. Found the hotel very easy and there is a great supermarket on the corner of the alleyway from the Rialto stop as well if you need anything. We had added my son to the booking (paying for extra person) and initially on arrival there was a bit of confusion (the person who had changed the booking for us was not there) however we were quickly accomodated in the Apartment building just a couple of minutes walk away. The apartment was fantastic and perfectly suited our needs - great to have a separate room for a 15 year old! The kitchenette had everything you needed if you wanted to cook and bed, shower etc were all spot on
Location wise the large windows overlooked the canal and if there wasn't a gondola parked outside there was one cruising past. It truly was beautiful Thank you San Luca

We had a really good stay at this hotel - the staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful, showing us to our room in a building nearby that had a stunning view of both the canal and St Marks Basilica.
The room itself was somewhat dated, but had all the amenities you needed. It was a shame the air conditioning wasn't in use (due to Covid) as it was ridiculous hot and humid during our stay. There is a portable unit in the room but it seemed to generate more heat than actually cool the room - we resorted to sleeping with the window open instead.
Rooms were cleaned each morning, and the wifi was really good. On leaving staff were again extremely friendly and helpful, and were more than happy to store our luggage for us for the day.
Absolutely the best feature of this hotel is the location - you're five minutes from the Rialto, five minutes from Saint Marc's Square, and you pass a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets when walking to either of them. I really don't think you will find a better located hotel in Venice to be right in the centre of everything.

If I could give our visit a 0 stars, I would have. We thought we had booked a charming room that we saw on the web, however when we arrived we were brought to an adjacent building. This would have been fine however when we came in, there was no AC, which is a deal breaker for us, especially with the heatwave Italy is having and us having 2 small kids. We looked around and there was 1 fan for the 2 bedrooms, with no space to plug it in...we asked for another bedroom fan and a move if another room with AC became available. We were advised that they could fit our family into 2 separate room with AC for an extra $80, which was unacceptable. To supplement, we were offered a free breakfast which we refused as we had 0 desire to spend more time than necessary in this hotel. As a result, noone slept for 2 nights and we could not use the room during the day to cool down and take refuge from the heat, like we did in Rome.
The other issue was service, there was NONE. There were no fresh towels, no beds were made. It's like the building didn't get the hotel amenities.
When we messaged the hotel for help, no one would answer and we would have to go and get the manager to get the most basic service, like figuring out what was wrong with the WiFi, which didn't work for the first night of our two night visit.
We seriously considered leaving a night early as we couldn't take another night in this place but had non refundable train tickets.
I would avoid this hotel like the plague, as you never know what you are going to get...or not get

I chose this hotel for my wife and I as we liked the location and the price was competitive for ones in San Marco. When we arrived we were confused as the reception desk is not where gps takes you and scrambled to find out where we needed to be. When you book, someone should give you a heads up. We checked in and the desk staff was informative and helpful answering our questions. Our room ended up being back at the building our gps originally took us to. ( it’s about 50 ft down the road) Our room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator, not fun hauling luggage up any amount of stairs. Our big issue came when we found out the room had no air conditioning, it was hot in the room and our only option was to keep the unscreened windows open to let in the air along with any insects. I went to complain and they said air conditioning was not an option but gave us a fan that basically had no power to make the air flow. The hotel advertised air conditioning but for some reason this room didn’t have it. The room itself was comfortable and clean and the location was great. That being said I would not stay here again with no air conditioning. My wife was bit by a bug during the night and her arm swelled up at the bite mark. We only stayed the one night so we were glad not to have to stay longer.

Our stay was excellent. Staff was friendly. Room was great even though it wasn’t in the main hotel. Great room for a family of four, the queen bed was separate from the two twin beds. Bathroom small but all you needed and well stocked. The buffet breakfast was in the main hotel and really good for 10£. They kept our bags after checkout so we could still shop. Beds were comfortable. Make sure you shut the windows as it is a little noisy at times.

We loved the family room at this hotel in the San Marco district. Really convenient for Rialto and St Marks square - and lovely spacious room with marble bathroom. It felt like 2 rooms as the kids 2 single beds were around a corner from the main room and bathroom. Would definitely recommend for families visiting Venice.

Lovely room as well as the lobby. Very good breakfast with fruits, pastry, cheese, eggs, etc. Top notch service, always smiling. Close to Rialto bridge, 10 minutes from San Marco. You can keep your luggage in the hotel even after your stay has ended. Great value for money. I would really recommend this hotel.

We got a two bedroom apartment for 4 of us. It’s a couple of minutes away from the hotel. The reception is not at San Luca but a couple of doors down to another hotel (4 stars). Apartment is huge (about 70 square meters) about 5-6 minutes to both SAN Marco and Rialto. The staff is very kind and let us deposit bags after the 11 o clock check out. Only negative is the smell of humidity, I imagine many properties in Venice have that problem. The kitchen is very big as well and had most of cutlery. We would stay back if a short stay, not for too long due to the smell.
We stayed in January and the heating was superb (we could regulate ourselves). I think in summer would get pretty hot as I didn’t see aircon.

This guys are heartless. I made a reservation and just fer minutes after I cancelled it. The reservation was non refundable and I requested them if they could refund me exceptionally because I didn’t hold the reservation for long time. They didn’t do it and kept the whole money of three nights of 342€. We are human beings and make mistakes. Shame on you guys.

Dear Guest,
breakfast is included in the rates of the main building rooms.
For the rooms in annex the rate is for the room only.
Best regards
Marco
THere is a shuttle - bus from the airport to Venice (final station). Then you take a vaporetto-boat to rialto bridge (8 Minutes). From there it is a really short walk to the hotel. Hve fun!
The best airport to use for Hotel San Luca is Marco Polo Airport. A short walk takes you to the water's edge where you can take a water taxi to Venice which is the very best way to arrive. Usually shared with a few other people, it costs about £60 but you can't beat it for convenience. Depending on the lagoon tides, the taxi drivers will take you to the water gate of your hotel or as close as possible. Alternatively, a vaparetto is available at scheded times. This is the water bus service and takes you to St Mark's Square. You can then find your way to your hotel! You'll need a map!!! This service is regular and much cheaper than a water taxi.
If you fly to Treviso, as we did this year, we easily found our way, by coach to Venice and then took a vaparetto to the Rialto. Not very easy with a suitcase each but perfectly possible. If you're staying in Venice for any length of time, buy a three day vaparetto ticket. You can then hop on and off of these very efficient water buses every day with unlimited travel. Enjoy!
Si può scegliere se farla nella dependance al piano terreno oppure nel corpo centrale dell'hotel dove c'è anche il caffè espresso
