This small and charming first class inn, just restored, is situated in the heart of Venice historic core, two steps from Rialto bridge and 10 minutes from St. Mark’s square, on the picturesque Venetian canal. The Santi Apostoli Neighborhood offers a great variety of restaurants and eateries to enjoy the original Venetian cuisine. Exciting shopping opportunities also await in the vicinity. Our rooms are furnished with care and each room is different from the others. They all have original ceiling beams, perfectly restored.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

We stayed just for a night at this lovely location, and if I were to go back to Venice, I would once again choose this very same property to stay. It is a family run business, and they have just 6 rooms, so it will be sold out most of the times. Rooms - Total of 6 rooms, and I

Enjoyed four nights here on a recent trip to Venice. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Cannaregio, but only 10 minutes walk from Fondamente Nova (for the airport boat) and the Rialto Bridge. All six rooms are on the ground floor with a couple overlooking a canal. It is

My mum and I stayed here in rooms 5 and 6 for 3 nights. The location couldn’t be better and is within walking distance of everywhere. There’s a co-op just around the corner and great little bars and restaurants all within minutes walk away. The B & B is super quiet at night

We stayed here for three nights in Venice and had an amazing experience! The location was close enough to everything to be easily accessible, but in a quiet, peaceful, less touristy area. The hotel staff were incredibly nice and overly accommodating. The breakfast was absolutely

We stayed here for two nights during our weeklong honeymoon to Italy, and were looking for a quiet, charming place. Alla Vite Dorata was perfect. Our favorite part was the breakfast nook, where we breakfasted both mornings, over a canal. Even though we got up early both mornings

I just recently stayed here in August and we also flew into Marco Polo airport. The best way to get there is to take the blue line water boat from the airport to Fondamente Nove (F. Nove). It is the second stop. The B&B is a short walk from there, only a few minutes and minimal steps/bridges to carry luggage over. Also, once you get away from the water boat station, the area is almost vacant. There is actually a website with detailed directions and a video on how to get to Alla Vite Dorata from F. Nove. It won't let me link the website, but it is europeforvisitors . com -on there search directions to Locanda Alla Vite Dorata. I think this is definitely the easiest, cheapest, and most direct way to get to the B&B from the airport. Hope this helps!

Dear Paulina, there's no problem to check in by night, we will provide you with the code for the front door a week before your arrival. When you call the inn's phone number your call is forwarded to my cell phone so you can reach me at any time ( also by night). Kindest regards Aleksandra

Any idea of cost of private water taxi to hotel from Marco Polo airport
cost was 80€ from cruise terminal to hotel (2 - 6 people) and 60€ from hotel to airport through venezia taxi. expensive but worth the splurge in my opinion as we were dropped off and picked up at the hotel dock. cheaper if you are booking round trip to and from either airport or cruise port.
