Arrived for 2 days Milan stay, reception was pleasant. The key given to us for our room was a key and a laminated card with room number and hotel details. I didn’t feel safe being solo traveler with my own room, if I was pickpocketed or key got lost someone would have had access to know where I’m staying and room. The hotel really need to do something about that. The room itself are ok size, the are out dated and need to be renovated. Bed is not comfortable at all, AC is quite noisy. The sheets and towel smelt like strong vinegar smell. I understand that it is used as a disinfectant though it was very over powering. At night you can hear and feel the train underneath I’m a light sleeper so did not enjoy my stay. Location wise it’s a 25-30min walk to main area otherwise you have train right Underneath hotel. Breakfast was very below to average and not worth 16euro better off going out on the street and getting something outside of hotel near by.

The location of this hotel is very convenient for travelers as it is close to the train station and the city center. The room was very small for 2 people and we struggled to find space for all of our bags/belongings. The bathroom was also small and could use an update. There were no channels in English on the TV. Not even CNN! The room was very clean, but the fixtures and flooring were dated. I thought it was strange that despite the "do not disturb" sign was hanging on the door, the housekeeping staff still entered our room. Luckily, we were on our way out anyways but my husband was still in his underwear. Other than that, the staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Everything about our stay here was great. Desk staff spoke french and english allowing easy communication, personable, friendly, great service. Breakfast was continental with many options including eggs and bacon which accomoated my gluten, dairy, soy and corn allergies. Also, rice milk was offered as a non-dairy alternative and made great cappuchinos. Super clean and literaly right in front of a metro station and within 30 mins walk from many restaurents and sights such as shopping, Duomo, Sforzesco castle. Lovely stay!

This is a dated hotel that shows its age and was grossly overpriced for what I paid for a night there last March.

The biggest thing in favour of the hotel is that an entrance to the Piazza Venezia metro is literally outside the front door. Apart from that, I cannot find much to recommend the hotel for.

Overall, the room is of a lower standard and smaller than two-thirds of the Ibis hotels I've stayed in.

I paid about €200 for a room on the fourth floor, with no elevator access (you need to drag your luggage up and down two flights of stairs from floor three to four), looking out on a dismal view of parts of people's houses about 20 feet away.

That rate did not include breakfast. I paid about €16 for that separately, not knowing it was not a traditional buffet. It's served in the restaurant next door. You money gets you eggs, juice, coffee, and only a snarl from the waitress (who barked "What do you want?" when she came to my table to take my order) if you're lucky. In a similar vein, I ran into an especially grouchy housekeeping exec on the way in heading to my room after check in.

The bathroom was more than half the size of the room and included a bidet. The room was tiny and the single bed moved about if your legs touched it while walking around. The pillows were thin. The window didn't really open more than a few inches, which is probably for the best, considering the view. If somehow you do manage to get it open far enough to accommodate your body, you can step onto a tiny balcony ledge and take in the view.

The minibar, which I was informed was complimentary, had water, thankfully, and some junk snacks and fizzy drinks.

I only have myself to blame for the rate I paid (months in advance). When I looked at the fare for the day on the Accor app after checking in, I found it was about half what I'd paid.

I asked if I could have late check-out, since I had an evening flight from Malpensa, and was told it would not be possible because they were fully booked, though there were at least two base category rooms going from what I could see when I tried to make a dummy booking.

Speaking of which, there was no acknowledgement of Accor status in any way whatsoever.

A minor plus is, they will hold your luggage for you, and there are well-kept bathrooms in the basement you can use after checking out.

Wifi was just about adequate.

It's strange how a hotel of this class gets away with calling itself a Mercure, when it might struggle to make even the Ibis cut in some regards.

Wouldn't stay here again under any circumstances if I could help it.

Very professionel people. A problem with a sliding door of the shower was taken care of immidiately. Very clean rooms, A little traditional style. The hotel is extremely well situated in front of the metro system.

I stayed here for 3 nights.

I really liked the hotel and thought the staff were really helpful. My room was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the back of the hotel so was very quiet. I found the staff very helpful and I liked the email I got shortly after arrival with a satisfaction so far survey. I mentioned on this that I could not control the air conditioning myself and reception called about 30 mins later to explain it was all controlled from reception. Although I felt this was odd it worked really well and I called to have the temp changed, switched on and switched off etc. Response was immediate.

There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel but they make use of the restaurant next door, which I visited and have written a separate review. I got my complimentary ALL Platinum member drink from there.

Check out on the final morning was swift.

Highly recommended and I would return.

This is a very difficult review to write because we had booked and paid for our week at this hotel long before the COVID19 was on our radar. We tried hard to cancel in order to avoid Milan altogether, and after a correspondence with the pleasant but unmovable hotel manager, Andre Pappé, were refused a refund which effectively obliged us to stay in a high risk city which was in the process in the process of shutting down, to the extent that we literally had to grab our stuff a day early and run for the train station having recieved a predawn phone call to tell us that the border with Switzerland (our main destination) was about to be closed. Under the circumstances, yes of course FORCE MAJEURE, and we should have been given a full refund and allowed to move our booking to a safer destination as requested.
Having said all that, the hotel is well-located, we had a good-sized attractive, clean room and bathroom, extremly friendly and helpful staff and under different circumstances, would have been very pleased with our choice.

We had a lovely stay here. Rooms not huge but completely adequate, nicely decorated, clean and with ample storage. Complementary water, soft drinks and snacks topped up daily.
Staff on arrival and check out were great.
Hotel doing a bit of a refurbishment so no bar/dining facilities however this hotel is right next to a variety of bars, restaurants and shopping choices.
We didn’t book breakfast so that we could sample elsewhere which worked out ideally (hotel did offer breakfast a next door restaurant if we’d wanted).
This hotel is a perfect location to get around Milan, whether on foot, metro or hop on hop off bus, which picks up along the road at P.de Venezia (blue line) and gets you to the castle and cathedral to pick up other lines.

Surprising time everywhere. The staff is nice and kind always providing information about the hotel and location. The bedroom is clean and modern with all amenities we needed for a good staying. The view of our room was great and despite the crowded area, it was quiet.
Well served by public transportation, there is a subway station in front of the hotel. It is located 10 minutes by walking from downtown main attractions as well a public park just crossing the street. I do recommend Mercure Milano Centro.

Great Hotel with wonderful service and top position. To be suggested. I was there with my wife and it has been a very nice experience. I didn't have chance to try the restaurant, but the location was interesting and late at night they served me a tasteful Gin Tonic.

Dear Madame, taxi from Bergamo to Milano is about € 100,00. You can catch the bus from the Bergamo airport to Milan Central station (2km from our Hotel) at the rate of € 5,00/10,00 € per person per way. Have a nice trip. Best Regards. Silvia
