We spent 5 nights here. The 4 rooms were all booked, so we were given the self-catering suite on the top floor which suited us absolutely. The location is good, not right in the busy tourist area, but there is a tram across the road which goes direct into central Milan, although we usually walked there and back. It is only a few minutes walk from the Garibaldi train station. The staff are very friendly and breakfast on the leafy terrace is very nice. Our suite was nicely appointed and had a small balcony off one side. The customised Milan guidebook provided by LaFavia was very good; we found it quite useful. We did find the water pressure quite poor, but it may be better in the lower floor rooms. The bed was also a bit firm for our taste and we experienced some noise from the metro system below the building, but that was not a major concern. We highly recommend LaFavia for a Milan stay.

Friendly reception at 9 PM , due to delay of train from Paris. Room big enough , beds ok , but duvet is too warm, so I didn't sleep as well as I should.
Breakfast was fine. To centre take tram no 2.
Travel to Linate airport is not correct on website B&B, take tram 2 to Duomo, on piazza in front of Duoma go right , on via Marconi, carry straight on to Via Maurizio Gonzaga.
Bus 73 will take you to Linate in 30-60 mins.

I had a wonderful stay at LaFavia Milano. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, and wanted to make sure I enjoyed my stay at LaFavia and my visit to Milano. I stayed in the LaFavia suite, which was very spacious and had a small balcony with a good view. Breakfast on the garden terrace was lovely. A tram stop located directly across the street from LaFavia provides easy access to several major sites in Milano, including the Duomo. It is also within easy walking distance of a couple of metro stops. I would definitely stay at LaFavia again, the next time I'm in Milano.

A truly special and unique bed and breakfast, which lets you experience the secret, inner world of Milan’s internal courtyards. The rooms are simple but thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. AC was good for hot summer nights. A highlight was eating breakfast on the terrace surrounded by lush greenery. Thank you to Francesca, Fabio and the entire team. We appreciated your communication and help with changes to our travel plans.

I chose this B&B based on all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience.
While the room was very nice, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was adequate we found there was a problem with organization and communication.
We arrived on a Sunday morning and had a tour scheduled for 2 pm that afternoon. When we checked in Fabio was not there. We were told we would see him the next day. We asked the staff for a restaurant recommendation for lunch. They referred us to a card in our room with a list of local restaurants. We asked if they were open on Sunday and were told yes. So we selected one about a 5 minute walk away. When we got there we found they were closed. So we went back to La Favia to chose another restaurant. They recommended one near Garibaldi station. So they gave us very poor directions. Long story short when we got there we found they only offered brunch and you needed reservations. So we walked around this area and finally found a restaurant. By this time it was 1:30. I called the tour operator asking if we could reschedule. They could not. So we lost the tour and about $120.
The staff at La Favia that day also gave us instructions on how to get to the Duomo, suggesting we take the tram. How do we get tickets? They showed us a small shop across the street from B&B and said we could purchase them there. When we went there they were closed!
So we found another small hotel on the street and they directed us to the Metro station just a short walk from our location and we bought tickets there and used the Metro for the 2 days we were in Milan.
This B&B is located in an Asian neighborhood where there are several good restaurants. We would suggest,Fabio, that you add more of these restaurants to your list.
Lastly, we had an early train on our departure date. They kindly arranged an early breakfast. We asked if they could call a taxi.
As we were awaiting the taxi Fabio finally showed up. He apologized but it was too late. We made our train but it was very rushed.
I would not recommend this B&B and will search for an alternative the next time in Milan.

Hello and thank you the review and the appreciation of our venue. For the points underlined please note that we do our best to support our guests in milano stay; we also prepared a specific city guide for our guests, full of suggestions and indications, based on our experience and guests feedback. It's very sad for us to receive a negative review based on points that are not under our control. Anyway our team will keep to do the strong effort to offer to our clients a peaceful stay in Milano. Stayed in two rooms in May. Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated with nice size bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast was made to order and served in the small conservatory at the back or if the weather allowed in the nice secluded garden area. There is a nespresso machine available to use 24 hours and also tea making facilities. There is a tram stop right outside the front door with very frequent service into the city centre; Duomo, sempione park, Cadorna station etc. Metro station Monumentale is only a couple of minutes walk away with service to San Siro stadium and Garibaldi station with rail link to Malpensa airport. This was a lovely cosy place to stay and would recommend this as a good place to stay to explore Milan. The owner Fabio was very helpful with information and gave us a very good book with maps and tips on places to visit.

If you are looking for a confortable place, good located, good price and also privacity this is the best choose.
My and my boyfriend were here and it was a really good experience. We had a really warm welcome even when we arrived so late. The room was very confortable, perfect to rest (exactly what we needed).
Its very close from the Garibaldi station and you have easy acces to the public transportation.
The breakfast was delicius and generous.
Finally the decoration of the place place is beautiful, very original. I think all the hotel in general is a new concept very atractive, stay here is more than a simple stay, is also a experience, i recommend it absolutly!!

Having stayed at LaFavia last year, we came back again this July and were welcomed back as old friends by Fabio. The standards of this boutique hotel are consistently high and Fabio is simply the best. Warm, courteous and always willing to help.

Once again we ate wonderful meals just across the road at Da Franca, visited the always excellent Eataly and walked to the impressive Cimitero Monumentale which is one of the largest and grandest cemeteries in Milan.

We honestly would not think of staying anywhere else when we are in Milan especially given the very reasonable pricing for a room at LaFavia. Grazie Fabio!

We stayed at Fabio's B&B for three nights over the F1 GP weekend and had a marvelous stay. Fabio is the consummate host, friendly, knowledgeable about his city and offering a great B&B experience in the heart of suburban Milan. Close to rail and other forms of transport, the property is easy to reach following a short walk from Porta Garibaldi station on the green line, and close to plenty of restaurants and other alternatives, including some good street food in China Town. Our best meal was at Osteria Del Gambero Rosso on viale Pasubio, the main street leading to the Eataly food market and a short walk from La Favia. This is a restaurant frequented by locals, opens earlier than most at 7.00pm, reasonably priced, and well worth a visit - we would have eaten there again but had to leave the following day. Fabio's rooms were a reasonable size, airconditioned, with a small kitchenette. Breakfast was plentiful and wonderfully situated in Fabio's terrace garden. Thoroughly recommended.

We had an amazing stay at this location! Tiny bed and breakfast with a 5 star customer service! The staff is very helpful and very nice. The location is perfect, it's right north of Brera. We will try to stay at LaFavia for all of our future stays in Milan.
