Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

This hotel is conveniently located if you need to visit the San Raffaele Uni or Hospital as it is just 5 min walk away. However, this also means it is a fair bit outside Milan, so would not recommend if you're in Milan to experience the city. The restaurant is very good, with a good selection and tasty food. The staff are very polite, though not all speak English. Generally a nice hotel if you need to stay in this area (though there's also another hotel nearby that you could consider).

Room Tip: There is a bus to/from Linate Airport, though it takes 100 minutes - a taxi takes about 15 min....

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. the tip about transfer by shuttle from the Hospital across the way to the nearest Metro station was really useful and saved money. Romeo, who serves drinks and snacks in the foyer was so good - he remembered us and our toast! Lovely stay. Thanks

The staff was really friendly and hrlpful. The room clean, confortable and simple. There was no noise from the surrounding rooms or from outside. There is internet and a car park included. The breakfast was also simple but does the job nicely. A good option to spend a few days neat milan.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night recently. We were transiting Milan and staying for just one night – this hotel seemed to provide good value for money. As soon as we stepped out of Milan Central Station, we were approached by a somewhat dubious looking individual who offered us a taxi. When I showed him the address of the hotel, he said that it was out of the city and offered to take us there for fifty euros! We joined the queue and eventually got into a regular taxi – an Audi with a very helpful driver. The distance from the station to the hotel was about 8 km and the taxi fare was nineteen euros. The location of the hotel seemed rather remote, as it was located on a highway near a large hospital of the same name. However, it took only 20 minutes to reach there by taxi from Milan Central Railway Station. We were told that there was a Metro station (Cascina Gobba) within walking distance, though it is not easy to locate it. Incidentally, the hotel is named after the illustrious painter Rafael (or Raffaello in Italian) whose famous painting “The Three Graces” was visible as a symbol throughout the hotel. The building appeared to be new. The entire design was focussed on economy, efficiency and environment-friendliness (which can be called the “Three Graces” of the contemporary world). The rooms were simple and Spartan, designed for minimum maintenance. There was very little furniture, but facilities were built into the room itself. For example, there was a large shelf along the wall beneath the window, which could serve as a table for eating or writing. Then there were small shelves instead of bedside tables near the bed. The storage space was quite adequate. There was no room service and there was no electric kettle in the room, though they did provide a small refrigerator with a glass door. Vending machines were available at different locations for water, coffee and juice. The wi-fi was free and it worked perfectly. We went to the restaurant for dinner (there was not much choice in the matter, since we did not see any other places within walking distance). The food was up to our expectations, but the helpings were on the small side. The service tended to be slow. Breakfast was offered at ten euros per head. We found that the spread was good, though not exceptional. The service at the reception counter was excellent. We had requested a late check in on the day of arrival, which was promptly agreed by them. We had also requested for a late check out on the day of departure, which was confirmed in the morning of the same day, at no additional cost. On the whole, an interesting experience and good value for money, but one must be prepared for the distinctive style of this hotel.

The hotel is located just by the San Raffaele hospital. It is also quite close to Linate airport. However, it is very distant from city center and from Malpensa airport. The hotel is nice and new, and the breakfast is rich and excellent. The WIFI is fast, despite the need for a 24 hour password.

This hotel is very close to Milan's hospital complex and is very difficult to access on foot. The usual walk way was closed and access was via the hospital out patients department. It was badly signposted and felt intrusive walking through the hospital. The hotel was clean but very basic, the bar area was small and the lounge a small basic area near to reception. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the room and bed linen were very clean. Breakfast was a continental buffet and was good and the staff were lovely which are the hotels best asset.

I do not have an issue with the hotel at all, it was nice. But unless you need to come to this part of town for a meeting or visit hospital etc, don't bother. There is absolutely nothing here other than the hospital and it's not even walking distance to the nearest metro.
