A Grand Dame of a hotel on the shores of beautiful Lake Maggiore. The public spaces are well maintained. The decor is a little "over the top" but is consistent throughout and in keeping with the overall theme. The location was perfect - close to the lake and a less than a

The Regina Palace is a stunning building both inside and out. It is well placed for shopping, and booking water taxi etc is just across the road, and of course it overlooks the lake, even the rooms at the back have good views, our bedroom on the first floor had a balcony,

What a magnificent hotel! Ir was a shame that the carpark is at the back but they lobby was a surprise opening up in front of the stairs. The corridors are a little windy with some steps to get to the lift. The air conditioning wasn't on but when asked, they turned something

This is a great location to relax and explore Maggiore for a few days. The public spaces are beautifully maintained. A lake view room is worth it - the views are amazing. Great croissants at breakfast. The front desk can help you get tickets to visit the islands. The indoor

We booked a lake view room with balcony for one night. Minuses first: The room was a bit small (but very high ceilings). The bathroom was small with shower over bath (and the shower nozzle was set at pygmy height). The bed was hard and there was 3 pillows for 2 of us. We could

Hy, we stayed 4 nights in the hotel stresa palace in Lago Maggiore. During our stay in the hotel there were so many family's with baby's and teenagers. There are friendly in the hotel. Right opposite the hotel you have public beach access for free, you have to bring towels, hotel is not providing any beach service. In walking distance there is a little plaza where you can sit and eat everywhere. Like pasta etc. In our hotel there is no activity for kids in or around the pool but it is flat on one side and deeper on the other side so kids can play. But no slides or anything like that. They have a beautiful parc area in the hotel, like a big garden. Unfortunately I'm here not able to put any pics otherwise I would do. So like I said lots of family's with kids and even baby's. Hope it was helpful 🙂

Hi Lora. I'm no expert on mozzies but I believe there is a risk of getting bitten. Whilst we didn't personally have a problem, our rep told us that she had been bitten for the first time this season. That was early June. Hope this helps Regs Paul
