Wonderful building in Liberty style and plenty of Belle Époque original flavor. In the same time an unusual relaxed and informal atmoshere which is very welcome as opposed to the snob attitude in the nearby Iles Borromees grand hotel which is not as nice either. Great and

We have stayed in this hotel for two nights. The charm of the hotel is as that you go back in time to the twenties of last century. The location directly at the lake is just breathtaking. The rooms are very very small. First hotel where I got an upgrade and ended up in an ever

My first impression of this hotel is that of imagining I was being entertained by the Great Gatsby. It has a 1890s-roaring 20s vibe- opulence and class. Situated on the shore of Lago Maggiore, the views are simply spectacular. The hotel and grounds are immaculate. The rooms

Response from Andrea P, Direttore at Regina Palace
Responded 12 Sep 2018
The reservation received for guests Alen E was for a standard double room with lake view with no mention to the fact that one of the guests was suffering from anything. If there is a severe allergy, usually, it is well underlined in the reservation in order to take appropriate actions. Upon check-in when we discovered the problem, at 11.30 in the night , two of our staff went promptly to the room to remove the carpets, and wash again the wooden floor to be sure everything was well removed. All our rooms have wooden floors because of some allergies having become more frequent. Furnishings of our rooms is well shown on our hotel pictures. Before leaving the hotel and after departure was asked a refund which we denied due to the fact that over that period we refused potential reservations. After having denied the refund everything started to be not satisfactory. Being guest Alen E a travel consultant and manager of a travel agency should be aware of which are the main points to underline when making a reservation. Next time we suggest not to miss out these relevant details.

Hy, we stayed 4 nights in the hotel stresa palace in Lago Maggiore. During our stay in the hotel there were so many family's with baby's and teenagers. There are friendly in the hotel. Right opposite the hotel you have public beach access for free, you have to bring towels, hotel is not providing any beach service. In walking distance there is a little plaza where you can sit and eat everywhere. Like pasta etc. In our hotel there is no activity for kids in or around the pool but it is flat on one side and deeper on the other side so kids can play. But no slides or anything like that. They have a beautiful parc area in the hotel, like a big garden. Unfortunately I'm here not able to put any pics otherwise I would do. So like I said lots of family's with kids and even baby's. Hope it was helpful 🙂

Hi Lora. I'm no expert on mozzies but I believe there is a risk of getting bitten. Whilst we didn't personally have a problem, our rep told us that she had been bitten for the first time this season. That was early June. Hope this helps Regs Paul
