Situated right on the lake provides amazing views. The breakfast buffet was fit for royalty!, Pastries, fresh fruit, cheese, prosciutto, eggs, juices, coffee. The rooms were elgant, comfotable beds. Convenient location, close to shops and restaurants.

A truly magnificent property, beautifully maintained and restored to the Art Nouveau elegance of early 1900s, yet with all the amenities we expect in 2018. Loved the views of Lake Maggiore, easy walking distance to the town and access to tours of the Borromean Islands. Service

One can only imagine the Edwardian elite lounging, sharing gossip, taking tea, and enjoying a stroll in and around the grounds of this 1908 lakeside hotel. The Italian Baroque Revival style is nearly overwhelming with its Venetian Chandeliers, gilt furnishings, lavish drapery,

Hy, we stayed 4 nights in the hotel stresa palace in Lago Maggiore. During our stay in the hotel there were so many family's with baby's and teenagers. There are friendly in the hotel. Right opposite the hotel you have public beach access for free, you have to bring towels, hotel is not providing any beach service. In walking distance there is a little plaza where you can sit and eat everywhere. Like pasta etc. In our hotel there is no activity for kids in or around the pool but it is flat on one side and deeper on the other side so kids can play. But no slides or anything like that. They have a beautiful parc area in the hotel, like a big garden. Unfortunately I'm here not able to put any pics otherwise I would do. So like I said lots of family's with kids and even baby's. Hope it was helpful 🙂

Hi Lora. I'm no expert on mozzies but I believe there is a risk of getting bitten. Whilst we didn't personally have a problem, our rep told us that she had been bitten for the first time this season. That was early June. Hope this helps Regs Paul
