We echo the positive reviews of the others. We asked for a lakeview room and stayed in room 4 (shared terrace with room 5) and loved the views out the front and the gorgeous lake (though it was, sadly, too hot to spend much time out there). We also really appreciated the old world charm and furnishings but with all the modern conveniences, including A/C. The breakfast buffet and room was generous and a great was to start the day. The hotel is located on the lake level which made it convenient to reach from the ferry (didn't have to schlepp luggage up hill), but close to all the shops and restaurants. I would have liked a mini fridge in the room to store my medicine, but the hotel was able to store it for me during my stay with no issues. Overall, we were really pleased with this choice and would definitely recommend it to others.

We wanted 3 nights with a lake front room but there was only 1 available . So we also booked the subsequent 2 nights in a standard room . Both type of rooms are spacious , clean and very comfortable with great and clean bath room . There is a safe and great air conditioning ( nice remote control , not the hard to operate wall unit )
There was no kettle and fridge (but the bar is just outside and the groceries is just behind the hotel and they accept cards )
Breakfast is really great the the staffs are very helpful . There is also a cute small internal open courtyard on level one with bench and garden ( not a criteria for my wife but is important for me )
Location is unbeatable and I highly recommend Hotel Florence in Bellagio

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in April 2022. We had a really wonderful time!
The staff were incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed the charm of the hotel. Very in keeping with the charm of Bellagio itself.
The hotel is positioned to have breathtaking views of the lake and we found it to be very comfortable and spacious.
We were also fortunate to visit when all the wisteria were in bloom.
The connected restaurant was a beautiful place to enjoy a meal or even just drinks from the bar.
The bar itself was quite a highlight because the bartender was a master of his craft!
We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: location, view of the lake, near ferry, safe area, central, good breakfast and waiters and waitresses super nice and really fast.

Cons: half the rooms have no actual showers just a bath with a nozzle and you have to request a shower when booking, the room was noisy and not good sound insulation, no drinking water in the room, I found the vibe not very good.

Overall would not recommend, but have heard good things about Du Lac which is a few doors down.

Travelling to Como with a group of friends before our wedding we stayed at Hotel Florence for 4 Nights. When booking this gem we had been very impressed with the value but upon arrival become quickly even more impressed.

The location was prefect! Beautiful views as you walk around the property, Lake Views and location wise right in front of the ferry terminal.

When we booked they had no availability for a Lake View but when we got to our room we had been pleasantly surprised that we could still see the Lake on a side view from our room. Decor of the hotel was lovely. Lots of Italian charm.

Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had from an Italian hotel. Service and food was fantastic. And overall service from the hotel was excellent, welcoming and helpful.

Would highly recommend and would more than happily return, genuinely really impressed with our. (And all of the group felt the same!)

My husband and I paid a small amount to upgrade to a room with a wraparound balcony, and it was SOOO worth it (I highly recommend upgrading for this). The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Two doors led out to a wraparound balcony, and even from the bed, the views were magnificent. Looking out from the balcony at the front of the hotel, we had views of the lake and mountains on the other side. The other balcony gave a different view of the lake and snow-capped mountains (breathtaking). The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered lots of options. We thoroughly enjoyed everthing about our stay at this hotel!

We have booked a room for an extended weekemd in august 2021 and we looked forward to our trip at lake como! Unfortunately the weather conditions deteriorated extemely, including mudslides. At the time, a travel warning by german authoritoes were issued after our booking. So we were not able to make this trip with reasonble risk level. We contacted the hotel. Feedback on the situation in como was scarse and infact they didn’t acknowledge our problem. The staff was utmost inflexible in handling the situation. Neiter moving our travel dates to later weekend, a voucher for booking another weekend or any time slot, or just cancel and refunding the money were not possible. Customer orientation definetly looks different.

I have just returned from our annual visit to Bellagio. This year, we stayed at the Hotel Florence (having always previously stayed just outside the town). The hotel is charming. A mixture of traditional and modern, located directly in front of the lake and the ferry jetties. I stayed in a lovely large room (room 5) directly overlooking the lake and sharing a large terrace with the room next door (room 4). Ideal, as in my case, when travelling with family or friends. It was incredibly hot when I was there so admittedly we couldn’t make much use of the terrace which was swathed in full sunshine! The room was directly opposite the lift which may bother some but honestly I didn't hear a thing as I slept so well! The air conditioning was good - essential as it was so hot! The staff, Micaela, Paola, Davide, and Silvana (apologies to those whose names I don't know) were superb. So friendly and helpful. My only wish would be for a small fridge and kettle to be provided so that we could make tea in the morning – but maybe that’s a British thing!?

We stayed for 4 nights and really found this to be a charming hotel at an exceptional value. The location doesn't get any better - you are steps from the main avenue and the ferry terminals. The breakfast was very good. We had a room with a wrap around balcony with great views of the lake which made us feel like we were on a 2nd honeymoon. We generally do not to eat dinner at hotels but decided to have dinner at the outside restaurant of this hotel, mere inches from the lake and it was the best meal of our entire week in Italy, with great service. But it was the service at the front desk that was truly fantastic. Everyone goes out of their way to help you and we especially appreciated the advice from Gisele, who helped ensure our stay was a great one.

We are enjoying our 5 day stay at Hotel Florence, which we booked because our first choice of hotels here is currently closed. We have been pleasantly surprised by this hotel and it is now our favorite place to stay in Bellagio. The room we have is described as a side lake view, but it’s a perfect view for us. We are in room 42, facing Villa Serbelloni across the street. Our room is not huge, but plenty big enough, and comfortably furnished. The breakfast is good, with a nice selection of breads, yogurt, eggs to boil yourself, and also scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. There are several very comfortable sitting areas in the lobby and on the 2nd floor near the breakfast room. The staff has been welcoming and friendly. We love this place and will stay here again on our next visit to Bellagio.

No, there isn't and finding parking is really difficult. We were going to rent a car but ended up taking the train to Como instead. Using the ferry system on the lake was wonderful and the boarding area is right in front of the Florence.
