Hotel is located less than 10 minutes from the Stazione. Go straight out the front doors of the station, walk through the plaza, and go one block straight ahead. It will be on the corner. Check-in was fast and the receptionist was friendly. As an Accor gold member I was

They only offer a breakfast that costs extra. There is a restaurant right next door that's very good, but due to Christmas it may be closed. I would email hotel to ask if finding an open restaurant may be an issue.

Dear Guest, thank you for choosing Mercure Bergamo! You can reach the hotel by A4 motorway, exit Bergamo and then following the indication to the city center. Once you get to the center, you'll find the railway station on your right, turn left and at the first traffic light, you'll find the hotel on the corner between Viale Papa Giovanni and Via Paleocapa. You can stop in Via Paleocapa to drop off your luggage and then, 20 mts after, there is a cover payment public parking, called Central Parking, cost € 15 per 24h. Alwyas at your disposal, looking forward on welcoming you.

The walk up to the funicular is 10 - 15 mins max, and it takes you directly onto the main street of the Citta Alta, offering fantastic views as you climb! Also the busses are very regular and inexpensive - they take you to the opposite end of the old town, where through the stone archway is another Funicular that takes you up to San Vigilio - quiet, peaceful and fabulous views! You can use your bus ticket to get up to SV as long as its within the time limit of the ticket you have bought. The Citta Alta is quite magical, with great places to eat & drink - enjoy!
