Bed and Breakfast 'Casetta Roma' is located in an elegant condominium in the heart of the historic city centre of Rome's Monteverde Vecchio/Trastevere quarter. The recently fully renovated 'Casetta Roma' has two ample and sunlit rooms, (one double and one triple room), with all modern conveniences: private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, wi-fi and windows facing the internal courtyard, providing peace and tranquility. The location provides guests with a home away from home in a residential area situated at the heart of the eternal city, just a stone’s throw away from Trastevere Station, one of Rome’s main rail, bus and tram transport hubs. This quarter is next to Trastevere, a historic area full of hiddem gems; rustic restaurants where guests can delve into traditional Roman cuisine and immerse themselves in the heart of the city. Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.

My wife and I stayed in Casetta in April 2015. Easy to reach from Fiumicino Airport, as the train stops in Rome-Trastevere station. From there, a 10 minute walk up to Ambrogio Traversari 58. (It's a hilly area, so yes, a bit of sport required)....More
