Trianon Borgio Pio is located within walking distance of Vatican City and Castel Sant’ Angelo. It is also located one street over from Borgio Pio which is a charming Italian street consisting of great restaurants, gelato creameries and pastry shops which is very convenient if you want to grab a meal close to the hotel after a long day of site seeing. The rooms are simple but pleasant and have everything you need particularly if you are traveling as a family since there is a kitchenette with a fridge, stove top, dishwasher, and plates and cutlery. There is also access to central laundry facilities for $2.50 Euros for washing and drying each. The highlight of the hotel is the breakfast terrace. Breakfast was included with a variety of pastries, eggs, cheeses, deli meats, fruits, and Italian coffees. However, it is served on the rooftop of the building which has a spectacular view of Rome including many of the historical monuments. Sipping a cappuccino on this terrace and taking in the site of Rome every morning was worth the stay alone!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. The master bedroom had king bed and a private full bath. The second bedroom had 2 twin beds. Both rooms had large open closets. The unit also had a full kitchen with eating space, a small living room with a pull-out sofa, and an additional full bath. Doorways to the restrooms and the were narrow by U.S. standards. This made for a very tight squeeze for me to get in and out, as while during our stay I broke my ankle on uneven pavement at the Vatican! I had to rent an extra narrow wheel chair and could barely fit into either. Our only real complaint would be the street noise, there was a car alarm that went off at least twice, late, each night and someone in the building had a dog that wouldn't stop barking, also late at night. Earplugs solved that issue.
The staff at Trianon Borgo Pio was exceptionally helpful, especially with my circumstances.
My traveling companion enjoyed and appreciated the complimentary breakfast buffet, though by the end of our stay (10 Days) we were getting tired of the same things being offered every day. Still, a nice selection, presented well.
The location of TBP is great. Only a few blocks from either the Castle or Vatican Entrance! Many restaurants are nearby, and ask the locals about nearby shopping for fashion.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The high daily temps in January are in the upper 50sF and for this Michigander, a sweater or light jacket was all I needed, though it did cool down quite a bit after sunset. We discovered the bonus to visiting Rome was MUCH shorter lines, in fact many of the attractions had no lines at all!!! Definitely not the same as when I went a few years ago in September. Then it was very hot and the lines were ridiculously long!

Dear Mrs Collins thank you so much for taking some time to review us. We are all very sorry that you broke your ankle just a bit after your arrival: i'm sure this event made very miserable your trip to Rome. As you said, we did all our best to make you feel at home and be more confortable renting for you a wheel chair. I hope after all , you will keep good memories of Trianon Borgo Pio, even if you experienced a bad adventure in Rome. Best regards Elisabetta Baggio

We stayed at the Trianon Borgo Pio for seven days. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful during our entire stay. Breakfast, which was included in our rate, was good and as it is served on the top floor it also comes with a great view.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, which was verycomfortable. Two bathrooms, one of which is en suite, were a little on the small side, but clean and had everything you need. Rooms were also clean with comfortable beds. The apartment also has a small living area and a small kitchen which was a nice place to relax after a long day of walking.

The area around the hotel has many nice restaurants to choose from. It is also very close to the Vatican city and the Castel Sant'Angelo. The Colosseum is about 3km walk from the hotel, so still very accessible. All the other major attractions are closer than this.

We really enjoyed our stay here and can heartily recommend this hotel. If ever we return to Rome, we will definitely be back!

Spent a lot of time to find the best place for 3 night stay in Rome and this place was a real gem! You got beautiful, modern and cozy apartment yet the best hotel services for reasonable price (if you book directly from hotel’s webpage).
This was my second time in Rome and I chose Prati district again because it is easily reachable from airport and termini, very safe, not so touristy, but very central at the same time. Location of the Aparthotel is more than perfect- Vatican city is just around the corner, St.Angelo as well! We started and finished every day with walk to Vatican square. Used public transportation only to and from Colloseum and just because it was raining that day, all other famous places was easily reachable by foot through beautiful old streets.
Hotel is modern, beautifuly renovated and quiet. Rooms are equipped with everything you need for comfortable stay. Breakfast room was with awesome view and breakfast itself was ok for Italian standards (pastries, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese, eggs, bacon etc.), only some fresh salad and vegetables are missing.
Will definitely return :)

From arranging most reasonably priced taxi service to providing and maintaining clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms, the Trianon Borgo Pio is the perfect place for both familes and business travelers to the Eternal City. Add the lovely breakfast served on the rooftop veranda and perfection is given somethiong more. What views! I recommend unreservedly and with enthusiasm. Excelsior!

We stayed at this property for 9 nights. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Each day there is an excellent buffet to start your day, and the staff is very accommodating. We were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony with an excellent view. There is a kitchenette with a small fridge and dishwasher! You are literally a 5 minute walk from St. Peter's and you are surrounded by excellent restaurants and small corner markets. The front desk was quick to recommend restaurants and call us a taxi. Also, the front desk can arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the airport. There is nothing as comforting as a person holding a sign with your name on it after a 9 hour flight. All in all, a great place to stay. When we return, we shall be staying at the Borgo Pio!

Two rooms apartments have enough space to accommodate family with a toddler. The quality of furnishings and premises conditions are quite satisfactory. Daily cleaning and the breakfast on the rooftop with Cathedral view have added much value. The only disadvantage is absence of own car parking / arrangements with suitable agreed prices for car parking.

We stayed over the long weekend for three nights in the large bedroom. It was amazingly spacious with sofa bed in separate room. We are a family of four but apartment could have easily accommodated two more in the additional single (expendable) bed in large bedroom. There was a separate kitchen with all the amenities. It was a really good apartment and the location couldn't have been better. It is in walking distance to Vatican museum, hop-on/hop-off bus stop and to Trevi Fountain (if you are ok walking for 20 mins), lots of restaurants and cafes nearby which offered really good local food. I got it for a great price but would have happily paid a bit extra. Buffet Breakfast was included and had quite a few options.

The hotel is in a good location, you can walk around the beautiful streets of Roma and reach the most famous touristic attractions. The apartments are big, well furnished and quite typical so you get the feeling of being right in the city centre. The thing that was not good, especially for COVID-19 times, was the cleaning. When we got to our apartment, we noticed that the kitchen utensils were not cleaned properly (you could see smudges on the cluttery and pots, the nightstand had stains on it, etc.). This is definitely something management should improve.

Camere nuove e super pulite. Colazione servita in una terrazza al coperto (d’inverno) con una vista meravigliosa. Colori caldi e accogliente.
Chiedi di Christian che ti mostrerà dove il Papà dice la messa! Si sente addirittura la Sua voce!

Rooms are new and clean. Breakfast is served on an amazing terrace (covered in winter) with a stunning view.
Warm colors and very comfy.
Ask for Christian to get a little tour. He will show you where the Pope says the Mass! You can actually hear the Pope’s voice!

Can staff help us to arrange transfer from airport to hotel?
Answer from Abeechy

We used the shuttle bus to go back to the airport, which leaves about a 5-10 minute walk away from this accommodation. You can book online or just turn up at the required time. It was only 6 euro each - so very cheap. Sitbus shuttle - totally recommend. It also leaves from the airport too. You would get off at Centro Vaticano. Hope that helps :)
