Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recommend this hotel. I travelled alone for 4 nights and found the hotel to be clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and the breakfast basic but nice.
The shower was really good and being able to fill a water bottle provided was much appreciated in this heat.
I would definitely visit again. A little far out of all the main tourist attractions but has lots of buses very close by.

Nicely located close to the Vatican, safe area, modern building with car park, very friendly staff, after Covid-19 understaffed and top terrace closed. The breakfast was less than usual I was explained but it was very little so you can skip it for the price. It was not busy so rooms very quite. We slept well. The simple double room is ok in size with a nice balcony. The bathroom is very small and the shower had signs of mold/fungi. I asked the cleaner to remove it but no success. For the price I was disappointed.

Il Cantico provided my wife and me with exactly what we were looking for in Rome --
a comfortable, clean, attractive room in a well located venue with good food and drink at a modest price. Friendly staff, great view of St. Peter's from the roof, an excellent breakfast, and good service all around. Various minor problems caused by aging facilities, but you can't have everything. We recommend the hotel to guests who are not too fussy about this sort of thing.

The hotel is a very good choice, location base combines the close distance from the Vatican (20' on foot), quiet area, the staff at the reception very helpful and kind. Very good cleanliness in the room. The only bad thing was the breakfast, which had minimal variety and very small quantities and average quality. If you go 30' before breakfast time ends, you won't find anything to eat.

This is a clean but basic hotel, close to the Vatican. It's quiet and the views from the terence are spectacular. However, there are no coffee facilities in the room and the mattress was the hardest I've slept on in a long time. Breakfast is adequate but don't expect a toaster, or much variety of food. Be careful of the bread rolls as they are so tough you might break you're teeth on some of them! The bar/bistro is very poor. There was one male member of staff who was more interested in eating his own dinner through the back than serving guests. Luckily there are a few good places to eat nearby so we went put and had some great food. The roof top terence would be a great place to sit during the day but there are no parasols or loungers and at 3pm glasses and ashtrays from the night before hadn't been cleared away. Its a real shame as with few tweaks this would make a great base for a stay in Rome.

We celebrated my daughter’s wedding at Cantico and everything was perfectly managed by the restaurant and by the hotel alike. We invited about 72 people for dinner and half of them also stayed in hotel. They were all very satisfied.
The food was excellent and well presented and the flowers arrangement a very fine one, tuned with the theme of the party.

Stayed 4 nights. Room’s very clean , hotel staff very helpful , the roof top with the view is amazing as its so close to the Vatican!

Loved staying here , ideal location , aircon wasn’t the best in the room we stayed in it kept changing automatically so we got up hot in the middle of the night (room 209) we didnt know that the drinks in the fridge were billed to us at the end (even the water) it was our fault really but just a heads up to others that might not know :)

Thankyou.

Stayed over New Year period. Beds were very uncomfortable, sunk in the middle they were changed but still the same. No room service for food or drink,no tea/coffee in room. Breakfast booked, but finished at 9.30 to early. Staff at reception were not very welcoming. Positives about staying here, near st Peters square and the metro.

Thus is a lovely modern quiet hotel. Ten minutes walk from St Peter’s square and the Vatican. It’s in a quieter area away from the hustle and bustle. There are sone lovely breakfast lunch dinner places near by if you want to go out. We had hotel breakfast one day which at 10 euro was very reasonable. Staff were helpful and friendly. The only negative I would have is that air conditioner was not turned on. Was very warm in room
