Detailed Reviews
This is an ideal location if you are looking to stay near St. Peter's and the Vatican Museums. The included breakfast was a major perk- fresh pastries, fruit, meats and cheeses, and eggs were all delicious. The street was quiet at night after restaurants close. Outdoor courtyard was a nice meeting spot for family. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

This was the last leg of our trip, and it was a great hotel with a great location. We had two rooms. The staff was super helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and well arranged. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise—a buffet that included fresh eggs, cappuccino, and a variety of meats, cheese and pastries. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location for Vatican stuff and many restaurants, especially Arlu next door.
Room 46 on ground floor, small but has a courtyard and all amenities. Shower is great and bath too.
Staff very good and helpful.
Breakfast is included and was plentiful with hot and cold plus endless refills. There is a fridge in the room refilled with drinks and water daily.
Hotel is 5 mins walk from St Peters and 10 from Vatican museum entrance.

A great hotel recommended to us following a Trip Advisor request for a hotel within a short walk of the Vatican. The street it is on has some great restaurants for outdoor and indoor dining, with several souvenir shop and other shops. There is an excellent ice cream parlour next door.
The hotel is small, clean, and has friendly staff

Lovely, comfortable, hotel right next to the Vatican City and within easy access of many of the city’s other tourist attractions.
Restaurants abound nearby (immediately outside on the street) and it has the added advantage of a gelateria (ice-cream shop) right next door.
Immaculately clean with large rooms and an excellent bathroom and shower.
Very tastefully furnished and decorated with a large comfortable bed.
Front desk manned by the loveliest people.
Perfect for any kind of stay, but especially if you plan to do a Vatican visit (essential for even non-Catholics).
TIP….book an early morning, small (6-people), tour.
Cannot recommend this hotel more highly.
It made our Rome experience.

Wonderful hotel! The staff is exceptional and kind. The hotel is beautiful and well-appointed. Located just a couple of blocks from Vatican City, we found this to be a wonderful place for us. Additionally, the entire hotel is covered with wonderful smelling flowers which is a nice welcome. (Only thing to note is that there are not USB chargers in the rooms so you will need a convertor if coming from the US. That was the case with the other hotel we stayed at, too.)

For the price, the location, and the service, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better property in Rome. The staff are super-friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are fantastic. The location is meters from the Vatican and in the middle of a local restaurant Mecca. Several friends had recommended this place to me over the years...now I know why. Definitely worth it. I'll be back, for sure.

We stayed here more than 30 years ago. It was still getting good ratings, so we decided to use this as our base in Rome for a return trip with our daughter and granddaughter. We were not disappointed. Every bit as good as the last time: The rooms had all been updated and the staff were as helpful and cheerful as ever. Great place to stay and a very convenient location near St. Peter’s Square.

Hotel S. Anna is a small, friendly, extremely clean and comfortable hotel literally just around the corner from St. Peter's. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. At the last minute they were able to help get us on a tour in the afternoon, and offered great recommendations of places to eat and where to buy wine nearby to take home. Our room had a very small balcony off of it, but for our last night in Rome, after taking our last walk through St. Peter's Square, it was delightful to sit out on our little balcony enjoying the pleasant summer evening. There is also a courtyard to enjoy at the hotel with tables and umbrellas. I would not consider staying someplace else when returning to Rome. If you are heading to Florence or Paris from Rome and like Hotel S. Anna, you may want to consider looking at Hotel Casci in Florence or Residence Foch in Paris. All three of these hotels were similiar in their small at home feeling with the staff fluent in English and eager to help to make your stay in their city an enjoyable one.

We recently enjoyed 4 nights at the hotel S. Anna. The staff were very friendly, and when we checked in were asked if we would like a larger room than we booked, at no extra cost. During our stay the staff allowed us to use their computer to check our e-mail at home. The neighborhood is fun, losts of small shops, a bakery, fruit store, wine shop and many small eateries. It really is a block from St. Peters, and is close to the metro and a major bus and trolly stop. It is also a short walk across the bridges to other major tourist attractions and great neighborhoods. We would stay again when going back to rome.

We really enjoyed Ristorante Romolo alla Mole Adriana. Its down the street and around the corner from the hotel. It was a very friendly place with excellent food and delicious wine. It was recommended by the desk clerk at the Hotel Sant Anna. We liked it so much we went twice! Also the Arlu was very good, but not nearly as inviting. The Arlu is on the same street as the Hotel Sant Anna.
No. The hotel is very near the Vatican, you must take a cab to the train station. The hotel arranged our transportation. It was painless.
We secured a cab at the airport on arrival. The hotel called a cab for us when we were departing Rome. It was all very painless.
It’s really tiny but it works!
no , only queen.
thank you
