We stayed in mid July. By far the best hotel and best service we received in Italy! (We stayed at 4 places over the course of 16 days.). The staff called it “the Barocco way.” I call it superb! Friendly, helpful, guest-focused staff. The junior suite with suzano/plunge pool is out of this world! Amazing! Breakfast was delicious. The room and public areas were so clean and inviting. The neighborhood is excellent-Piazza Barberini! Near the Spanish steps. You do not need to look further. This is the place to stay in Rome!

During our stay in February 2020, each & ever member of the staff made our stay outstanding. We were welcomed with wonderful hospitality in this beautiful setting by very gracious staff who spoke perfect English. Upon an early arrival they were able to give us 1 of our rooms to freshen up & gave us a few local options to eat. Every recommendation was better than the next. They sent us to restaurants not frequented by tourists...the food was always excellent. The rooms were well stocked with basic essentials, beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. If we were ever in need of anything, the staff was very quick & responsive. The location was great, as most sightseeing was within walking distance or a short taxi. It is with the highest regards for the staff, especially for Fabio & Fabrizio that we We HIGHLY recommend this wonderful hotel!! Thank you for an amazing experience & we wish you well during this difficult time. When this is over, we will be sure to visit Hotel Barocco again!!! ❤️🇮🇹

We stayed in this lovely hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary at the beginning of August '20. We were anxious about staying in a hotel during COVID-19 but needn't have been as the hotel was incredibly prepared with face masks being worn within the public areas, hand gels in reception and the breakfast area and daily temperature checks at breakfast for all guests. This was the same throughout Rome with shops and attractions observing the rules consistently. There were reduced staffing on during our stay due to the reduced numbers of guests but this was not an issue at all as the staff who were on duty were exceptional and ensured that our experience at the hotel was not diminished in any way. Cristiano was the person who we had the most dealings with and he was quite simply brilliant. From sorting out a room on the last day for us to use due to a late flight home, to bringing us drinks to the room on our anniversary, he never missed anything and it was all done with a lovely personality and honesty about the situation. We are indebted to him for making our stay feel so special.
With regards to the room, we stayed in room 43 which had a balcony with outdoor bath and sauna. We didn't use the sauna due to it being 31 degrees most days but can see how it would be great to enjoy this when it's cooler. We did make use of the bath each night and that was wonderful. It is massive with plenty of room to relax. There is road noise as a result of the hotel being in the centre of Rome, but we can honestly say it didn't bother us as we expected it given its location. Within the room itself, there is virtually no noise from the road (the aircon was the only thing we could hear in the evening). There are two sunbeds on the balcony, and we used these each day to relax after days roaming around Rome. The rest of the room is an ok size (as the balcony is huge for a city centre hotel) but again, we knew this from the pictures on the website and so it was as expected. The finish in the room was to a high standard and the bed really comfortable. We would have no qualms recommending this room and will definitely stay here again if we return to Rome.
Overall, this is a lovely little hotel with exceptional service from the staff. Please visit to ensure it doesn't become a COVID casualty.

Could not fault the hotel one bit. Daily temperature checks, organised and delicious breakfast so not too many people eating at the same time, hand sanitizer everywhere, spotless room with a stunning view, super comfy beds and an incredible shower. The hotel is in a perfect location, just two stops on the Metro from Termini station; we walked pretty much to all the main sightseeing venues. The pizzas in the restaurant next door were superb. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful - all in all a perfect trip to Rome! Thank you to all staff at Hotel Barocco for making our trip so great!

The hotel location is excellent - very close to most attractions in Rome (within walking distance).
The hotel staff were very cooperative, sympathetic and helpful - starting from people at the reception desk, through the dining room staff and the maids.
Our deluxe room proved to be spacious and comfortable.

Barocco was recommended to us by travelling friends who have high standards. We found it better than they suggested. Our stays in Feb and March (during the Corona Virus scare) couldn’t be bettered. Location is the best, customer service excellent, breakfast, rooms, friendliness and cleanliness all 5 star. Highly recommended!

This was a last minute booking. I normally go for hotels with recommendations or part of my companies bookings.
The staff were outstanding from when I arrived on Friday afternoon till I departed on Monday morning.
I paid for an upgrade and was not disappointed my wife and I loved the room
Breakfast was a delight a great mix of fruit and cold meats.
To finalise I cannot fault the front desk staff at all they were excellent and made the difference for me.
If I return I will stay again

To calibrate this review I normally stay at Intercontinental with work.

My son and I spent three days/two nights in Rome and this hotel was perfectly situated for the Fontana di Trevi, the Spanish Steps, the Piazza del Poppolo and the Hop on/Hop off bus tours which were just across the square from the hotel's front door. Be sure not to allow taxi drivers to over charge you from the airport, I understand the rate should be 48 Euros but I was asked for 80, 60 and 50 until they agreed it was too steep! The hotel is tucked away down the Via della Purificazione and has an automatic double glass door entrance - be careful! The Reception staff were all super helpful with everything we wanted to know and one of our two rooms was ready for us as we arrived. Both rooms on the 3rd floor had fabulously comfortable 6 foot beds and lovely bathrooms. We ate out both nights but there are so many eateries in the city, you'll never go hungry! Breakfast was nice, fresh fruit, pastries, meat and cheese. Great coffee and they had soya milk for me (extra brownie points). We had to book a time and wear a mask to breakfast (and around the hotel) but that was fine. All in all, we had a lovely two night stay and would love to have stayed longer. Maybe next time? Thank you to all at Hotel Barocco for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable.

I can not rave enough about this hotel. We chose it because of its location as being central to a lot of attractions we wanted to revisit. From our first email correspondence to our warm goodbye, all of our interactions with everyone at this hotel was so friendly and so professional.

The room was super comfortable. It was exceptionally hot during our visit and the AC felt so good when we arrived to our room. The bed was super large and comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower/jacuzzi tub and plenty of space to place our things. The closet and shelves were plentiful and the desk allowed more space to spread out.

The cozy bathrobes were on our bed with two fresh sunflowers in vials of water. I have to commend the florist at this hotel. There were literally dozens and dozens for fresh flower arrangements throughout the lobby, sitting rooms and restaurants. They were just gorgeous and added to our enjoyment immensely.

I think due to Covid or perhaps the size of the eating area, breakfast requires reservations for the next morning. We did not have any problems getting a time that was good for us but noticed the later it got, the more busy it got. There is no buffet but rather items are brought to your table. A "welcome" tower with a selection of fruit, breads, pastries, meats and cheese is brought to the table. You can order your juice, water and coffee and then after looking at the menu, order hot food if desired. We had scrambled eggs and omelets but there was a large selection to order from, including pancakes.

Service is somewhat formal for breakfast but always smiling, friendly and prompt. There is a lounge for afternoon drinks and the whole hotel is spotless!

The hotel also offers an affordable car service to and from the hotel which in Rome is quite the treat.

When we return to Rome, Hotel Barocco will be our first choice. We thank them for their warm, welcoming attention!

The staff was extremely nice to us even after we warned them that we were delayed by a day due to our airline. The driver we asked the hotel reserve to us met us outside of Terminal 3 as they said and promptly took us to the hotel. The hotel suggested this as the cab ride to the hotel was 48 Euros in a small car vs paying 7 more Euro for a Sedan with space. Trust me it was worth spending the 7 extra Euros to comfortably ride in a sedan vs an Escort/Prius subcompact station wagon. This set the tone for this unique boutique hotel which sits steps off of a main street. When you enter through the sliding door, you are greeted warmly by the staff and checked in pretty quickly. The hotel has a small lobby and elevator, but it all works for this place as it is blends modern technology and old world design. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the small side street we came in on as well as all allowed a great view of the Tritone fountain in the square. The room itself was very clean, efficient and had a staircase for the restroom. They may need to put some nonslip strips on the stone steps as it can get a little slippery if you don't dry your feet like yours truly here, but if you are smarter than me its not a problem. Its located in a semi busy section that is very quiet at night, but picturesque. Hard to explain but if you stayed here, you would swear you have seen a photo like this small street before.

As far as how far away it is from things, 8 minutes from the Spanish Steps. The 8 minutes is a slow walker. Trevi fountain is 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the Pantheon 5 minutes walk from the hotel (5-7 minutes past Trevi fountain); The Coliseum is walkable in about 30 minutes, but I would not advise it because the Coliseum grounds are huge and the steps in the Coliseum will kill your legs for a walk back so do as the hotel suggests... take a cab. 1o Euro for a 10 min ride. Same with the Vatican about a 10 min ride. The hotel is also near two walk up Rapid Covid testing centers as well as a couple that you have to schedule in advance one is across the street and the other is a 10 minute walk.

The hotel's food was nice and filling and the staff was great.

The next time we go to Rome, this place will be our stop. Again, the staff was extra nice on all shifts and they all were fluent in multiple languages. This really made our trip easier. I can't say enough about this place. Ee are definitely recommending this hotel to everyone
