My two friends and I visited Rome through one of those surprise travel agencies, where we didn't choose the destination, flights, or hotel. Unfortunately, this was the hotel they placed us in (considering the previous reviews, we would never have chosen it if we had that option). Sadly, the scenario we encountered confirmed everything the reviews said and even worse: - The bathroom trash can WAS NOT emptied, containing garbage from previous guests (attached photo where it is even possible to see a luggage tag from the person in question); - The toilet was dirty and had a horrible urine smell; - Both the bottom of the sink and the toilet were covered with black and brown "paste" (attached photos); - There was a used disposable cup in the bathroom with a nauseating liquid inside; - The bathroom had an intense sewer smell that took over the room whenever the door wasn't closed. The same smell was felt in common areas of the hotel; - The shower was dirty in the corners and the water drained very poorly; - The toilet was very old and outdated and did not work correctly. Not every time the button was pressed did the water flush, often it was necessary to press twice or hold it down; - The amount of dust under the bed was absolutely surreal, the result of weeks or months without being cleaned (photo attached). The bedside tables also had a considerable layer of dust; - Although the towels were replaced, we have some doubts regarding the replacement of the bed linen, since there were hairs on the pillows and sheets (photo attached) and there was no washed smell; - The pillows were so old that they were practically "flattened" to the point of being only a few centimeters tall. In addition, we removed the pillowcases and the pillows were covered with yellow stains (photo attached); - We removed the bedding from one of the beds and found that the mattress was covered in stains as well (photo attached); - The mattresses were hard, and one of the beds was so wobbly that the person who slept in it couldn't move without it shaking and making noise; - Despite there being a minibar in the room, besides being absolutely degraded (rusty both inside and outside - photo attached), it lights up but doesn’t cool, being therefore useless; - The air conditioning made so much noise that we had to turn it off at night to be able to sleep. Its light is also uncomfortable; - The light from the hallway passed under the room's door illuminating it, and being on all night it became quite annoying (photo attached); - The bathroom mirror was broken (photo attached). Although we informed the reception that the room was in this state, besides seeming not to give much importance to complaints, the next day when we arrived only the trash can had been emptied and the towels changed, the toilet still smelled of urine, and the dust remained exactly the same. The only decent thing was breakfast, and even then, the room where it was served was dirty, there were 4 or 5 different types of chairs (some plastic, like terrace chairs), and even though we went for breakfast early in the morning, the tables were dirty. We are very practical, relaxed, and not demanding people in this type of situation; I would never have written this review if the problems had only been the AC noise, the light entering the room, or the broken mirror, but hygiene is the minimum required in a hotel room, and in this case, it was absolutely nonexistent. Stay away from this place.…
