The Atlante Hotel is 10 mns walk from St Peters sq 5mns from the Metro 1 min from local shops 1min from great Restaurants. We found the shopkeepers very friendly Restaurants having very good menu's inexpensive to eat out every night.
The Coliseum is a must go to, Trevi fountain just has to be visited. Take a day trip train to Naples..go see Pompeii

Hotel was very clean and staff were extremely friendly. I think we lucked out in the room section though as our room was exetremely small, and dated and had an awful view of the service area at the back of the hotel. We paid extra to have breakfast included but when we had the menus for breakfast it said it was included with the room for a basic breakfast. Anything extra like eggs and bacon had to be paid for. So that was annoying. It was also a really bad breakfast! But the location is fantastic and a lovely roof terrace!!! Would stay again but not in a classic room! Would have to upgrade.

o express our disappointment at the condition of the suite we had booked for our stay in Rome from Monday to Saturday last week.
Although the view was as expected, the room itself needed some serious repairs: the shower phone in the whirlpool did not work, the windows were not sound proof and there was mold on the wall tapestry which looked very old and dirty.
Because the room was on a busy street and the windows were not sound proof we could only sleep wearing earplugs.
Moreover although there was breakfast included in our reservation it was very poor and limited and when we asked about this at the reception they said that we had full breakfast included but the male waiter did not know about this. After this we had full breakfast for the last 2 mornings.
We found the conditions of our room quite unfitting for a suite at a luxury hotel as you advertise it and we would like to request a refund as the price was way too high for these conditions.
We hope that you can renovate this hotel so the guests can receive what they are promised.

Having stayed at this hotel 5 times previously, I was very much looking forward to returning. Last trip was in 2017. Unfortunately from the moment we arrived it was clear that things had changed quite significantly. No longer was the shuttle transfer to and from the airport available. When we arrived at the hotel at 3pm our room was not ready. We then had to wait on the very slow lift to take our own suit cases to our friends’ room - no porter service was available as it previously had been. When we eventually gained access to our room the superior double was shabby and extremely dated with broken fixtures and fittings. Evidently no general maintenance had been undertaken. Previously there had been a substantial breakfast included in the room price however this time around a mere boiled egg will cost you €6. What you do get included is a croissant and help yourself black coffee from an urn. Stale toast and cornflakes are also available if you ask the staff. Previously, access to the upper levels of the hotel including the roof garden was available to the residents as part of the hotel however this now seems to be separate from the hotel and being run as an independent restaurant and bar where you have to book and pay ludicrous prices, €50 for 2 drinks, €70 for a steak. Even as residents of the hotel we were refused entry to the roof garden as there was a private function taking place. Staff were very unaccommodating. It is certainly not a 4 star hotel without access to the roof garden and view i.e. there is not even tea and coffee facilities in the room! Therefore access to these areas should always be available to residents. I’m disappointed as a return guest to have to write this scathing review however I was thoroughly shocked at the deterioration in both service and accommodation at the Atlante Star. I certainly won’t be returning and would advise you to look elsewhere. If you have stayed here previously your happy memories will be destroyed. Hotel guests seem to be at the bottom of the list of this current management team.

Very nice hotel, in an old traditional style, heavy wallpapers and drapes in striking colours. Facilities were reasonable, found the room very warm and temperature hard to control; decent shower and bath, comfortable bed. Prices were quite expensive up on the roof terrace, but the temptation to take in the view of the Vatican is too much to resist. It really is the USP of this hotel. I saw a review complaining about the single lift which is small and slow, but there is a second, much larger and faster lift around the corner. Breakfast room located up on 6th floor just below the terrace, so again, the stunning view across to St Peters. Breakfast itself was a little diappointing as only comprised croissants, yoghurt and other continental style food, all served at table. Hot options were available at additional cost and again were slightly pricey by the time you had filled your plate. The staff were all extremely pleasant and efficient, and the location, close to the Vatican (400yds) was perfect for us. Lots of small bars and restauarants within a few minutes walking distance, all decent and very reasonably priced. Overall, a good choice for us and we enjoyed our stay.

We got the superior room wich was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated just a few steps from the St. Peter ´s cathedrale. The breakfast was great served directly at the table based on your order. Comparing the low price of the hotel room I think the fee for the garrage is high (30€ per night). I would recommend this hotel to everyone who would like to stay in the nice area of Vatican city.

A great location (less than 5 min walk from Vatican City), recommended by friends. I had booked junior suite, the room was good, if slightly tired, bed very comfortable and linen service excellent. Bathroom dated and showing lack of maintenance ( Asked twice for jacuzzi bath to be fixed with no response/action). Restaurant on the terrace was superb, both service and food, with the back drop of a floodlit St Peters Basilica, enjoyed it so much so we ate here twice for and evening meal. However Breakfast in the 6th floor restaurant was disappointing, with a request for milk for cereal taken and then ignored by three members of staff, generally disappointing after a great meal upstairs the night before. Would i stay here again, YES.

It was our first visit to Rome and my wife picked the hotel for the great view at the rooftop and obviously the rooms… The hotel is clean, room is very nice and bed quality for a very good sleep!!!
But…
Air conditioning wasn’t working correctly and considering summer weather is necessary, but after a cold shower is ok!
Our biggest issue, the rooftop service, first time, the staff tells us that we need to pay €35 for food and drinks at the roof garden despite we told them we just wanted to have a drink, but we understand the rules…. When we went back a couple of hours later, we asked the waiter for 2 glasses ow wine and the check because we were going to be for 20 minutes because we had a reservation for dinner in another place…. The drinks never came… so we had to leave…
Me and my wife have been working in the restaurant and hotel business for a long time and we were wondering… the place is not too big and they were not short on staff, how does it take more than 20 minutes to give 2 glasses of wine???? And the other issue is, if they are showing the rooftop as part of the hotel facilities to get guests, why don’t they prioritize those guests?
And yes! The view is breathtaking!!!!

We stayed 5 nights at Atlante and found it conveniently located to Borgo Pio and many other areas you can walk to. The hotel room was clean and pretty spacious by Italian standards. We enjoyed having the toilet/bidet in a separate room in the bathroom. The staff there is fantastic and very accommodating.
We did run into an issue with our heat that required a new thermostat and we found the breakfast service to be quite slow. However that was due to a shortage of staff as the staff appeared to be busting their butts to serve people.
The rooftop lounge is nice and accommodating as well, although it was a bit chilly for us to go outside.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is not a 4-star hotel. We have booked a room with view which was alright. The room and bathroom was very small. There were towels missing on arrival. The lights are controlled with the main switch and you cant have bed lamp turned on without the main room light. Now breakfast were the biggest issue. You will get a coffee with some little choice of pastry, yogurt and some cereals. We asked for fresh bread and get toasted piece which was laying around from the day before. See photos. Wouldn’t recommend.

We just stayed in Rome,so much to see!
The airport shuttle bus to Vatican City is the least expensive, however the quickest way is via taxi direct to the front door if you have heavier luggage. Around EUR 48 and takes about 35-min.
Sorry. I don’t know. I didn’t realize it was available to non guests. I suggest emailing the hotel. I wish you happy travels.
Unfortunately we do not offer free pick up service anymore.
From the Fiumicino airport, you can get a taxi which will cost approx. 48 Euro. Please take an official Italian taxi from taxi stand.
Otherwise you can take a bus service called SIT BUS will bring you to the Via Crescenzio (near the Piazza Cavour) which is 10 minutes walking distance away from us.
Looking forward to your visit.
