Detailed Reviews
Horti Hotel: Arrived at Horti and received a very pleasant welcome. All staff very helpful and friendly, giving advice on where to eat and where to visit. Centre of Rome was approximately 30 mins walk away. The room was modern and very comfortable, when we requested tea facilities, these were organised within the first 5 mins. All amenities available, sky tv too! Breakfast was lovely, an abundance of different foods, you can also order eggs done in different ways at no extra cost. We also had the bonus of meeting the resident tortoise who visited our door a couple of times during our stay. Would highly recommend Horti to others considering travelling to Rome and would return ourselves. Thank you for my birthday cake, very thoughtful

We stayed here for 2 nights at the tail end of our vacation and it was absolutely perfect. The hotel is nestled away a few blocks from the main Trastevere area, less than a 10 minute walk to great restaurants and bars. The garden around the property is beautiful, with a couple of turtles (!) happily roaming amongst the plants. The rooftop patio was a great place for breakfast and evening aperitivo. The room itself was clean, cool, and quiet, which was a welcome respite after a day of exploring the city in the hot august sun!
The staff, especially Ramona, were friendly and helpful, helping us identify some nearby sights to visit and arranging a taxi for our morning flight to the airport when we departed. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Rome.

On the plus side: beautifully designed hotel and outdoor space, spacious high quality finish room. The design of the place and materials used are great.
On the minus side:
Check-in was short and uninterested. Some things went wrong and could be improved.
One day we found the cleaning staff key on the outside of our room door, anyone could have come in. A security issue. The receptionist did not really care and thought it was all good.
The curtains did not close completely, from the top floor relaxing area, you could look straight into our bed. After asking for a solution they fixed it with a clothespin, very amateur.
The handle of the door on the inside dropped off regularly.
You could not leave any food in the room as it would be an ant fest.
The air-conditioning was leaking so my wife had wet feet every time she got out of bed.
Pets are allowed.

We ended our trip from Firenze to Rome in this very nice hotel. Rooms were perfect with nice beds and staff was outstanding. We enjoyed our
stay a lot. Breakfast in the morning had everything we needed to replenish after the four day cycling trip

Hotel Horti 14 is located in an ideal location and is within walking distance of the Trastevere neighbourhood which is filled with decadent restaurants and shops. Staff at Hotel Horti 14 are courteous, friendly and always willing to accommodate. The room we had at Hotel Horti 14 was lovely - it is done in an artistic fashion that reflects the beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel and in the spirit of its past history. A must stay when in Rome - clearly a ‘five-star’ boutique hotel!!

A bit dusty corners in the rooms. Not too clean floors etc. No coffee or tea access in the room.
Real bad breakfast buffet. We had to ask for plates bowls and spoons every morning after having moved tables across the room to find a place for our family in the restaurant. The buffet was empty every morning. No more bacon, eggs, pancakes, milk, water, plates, bowls, plates, forks, knives. When we asked if i.e. they could please make a refill on milk, bacon or pancakes the staff seemed stressed and rolled their eyes. ‘The director won’t allow more staff even for all there people’ was the answer. We were not offered coffee unless we went out the kitchen to ask.
Simply a real bad included breakfast at a quite expensive hotel. Can not recommend it … Way too expensive for the very low standard.

+1
We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at this peaceful hotel tucked away on a quiet side street. Near the Villa Farnesina, the hotel’s location was an easy walk from the Vatican, Santa Maria in Trastevere and scores of wonderful restaurants. Breakfast in the rooftop courtyard area made me think I was in the countryside rather than steps away from the chaos of Roman traffic along the Tiber. Very very friendly and helpful staff made this lovely, small hotel worth a return visit.

10/10. The staff were very kind, friendly, and accommodating whenever you asked them for something. Trastevere is typically a loud neighborhood yet this hotel was perfectly located in the northernmost and quiet part of the neighborhood. You're within a 15 minute walk to the Vatican, Piazza Navona, Campo De' Fiori, and good restaurants in Trastevere. I recommend splitting a taxi or uber to Colosseum and the Borghese Gallery. The room had beautiful, modern furnishings and the bed was very comfortable. Also, that was the best free breakfast I've ever had along with great cappuccinos.

My husband and I stayed at Horti 14 for 3 nights. We had a suite we booked with booking.com. The room looked just like the picture on the internet. It was spacious and gorgeous. There was plenty of storage with a spa like bathroom. The room itself was very clean . The location was excellent. We were walking distance to major tourist attractions. The breakfast was better then expected it was a buffet as well as an option to order eggs , omelet etc. They offered fresh squeezed orange juice as well cappuccinos. We were please with the selection. The staff was extreme helpful and friendly. Veronica Feriola the desk attendant was so sweet . She directed us to non tourist restaurants that were outstanding! The whole experience was more than we could have hoped for ! We would definitely return to Horti 14 again for a stay !
