The location hotel staff, location and dining was fantastic. I really enjoyed eating on property away from the crowds. I also loved how friendly ALL of the staff were from the waiters to the spa to the pool attendants. I will be back.
This was our 5th stay at Luna It is, in my opinion, the best located hotel in Capri Excellent rooms, wonderful views, away from the huge crowds that descend on Capri daily The pool are is generous and the staff helpful with beds and towels Lunch by the pool is a must and the Luna Salad worth trying The rooftop bar attracts the lovely people and is also worth a visit The reception staff and the wait staff are all helpful and pleasant Probably why we will go again
We stayed at the Hotel Luna in Capri. We traveled as a family with two teen boys. The hotel was beautiful and our room had the most incredible view. The hotel is walking distance to the piazzetta. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to return.
This a beautiful quiet hotel with ocean view rooms of the Faraglioni. The pool was lovely and rooms were small but comfortable and typically European. The bathroom has a double sink. The shower is a rain-bath that can be changed to a hand held. I am not a fan but my husband loves it. The breakfast was nice with no upcharge for eggs. It’s in a quiet part of town and down the hill from the main piazza. Keep that in mind because if you can’t manage hills this is not the hotel for you. You can’t control the temperature of your AC. The pool was great but the lunch offered at the pool area is rather limited. My biggest complaint I would say is a strange one. They use some type of alcohol based cleaner to clean the rooms. With Covid I suppose a necessity and you should be happy about. But for some reason in my room - number 214 - the alcohol smell was so strong it made it hard to sleep. I felt like it was suffocating me. We could not sleep with the balcony doors open as the heat was equally as oppressive. Other members of our group did not have that problem. I could not figure out why it was so strong a smell in my room. I tried to find a source and even wiped down the tile on the floor. It was just strange but oppressive and never dissipated . I even kept the balcony doors open one afternoon during the day but that made the room hot and once the doors were shut the smell was just as strong. It was just strange. I did complain to the front desk and was told the hotel was sold out and they could not change my room. They did send a man to investigate who wore a mask so in my opinion would have impeded his sense of smell. He did not seem overly concerned and their solution was an oil based air freshener that did nothing to mask the smell. In hindsight I should have asked for the manager because it really interfered in the quality of my stay. Would have given a higher rating otherwise.…
We had a great stay in the Hotel Luna. The view, the staff and the food were excellent. We would be happy to have another holiday in Luna! The rooftopbar is very nice, but in the nights of privat events it was very noisy.
We have been staying 2 weeks at the 4 star hotel Luna. This location is special in many respects. The hotel offers a great view to the Faraglioni rocks, the mark of Capri. Breakfast, pool area and fitness center was great. The personnel was very friendly and supportive in any respect. Peppino and Costanze, both made every wish possible. Peppino speaks excellent German. The hotel itself was one of the superlatives and exclusive I ever stayed. The rooms with the balcony had sea view with a fascinating view, which was like a dream!!!. If you want a vacation which should feel to you perfect then this is the location to choose and to be!!. The pool area is the biggest I know off from Capri (as deep as 4m) and at night the roof garden Is worth to go for a drink. The big terrace with a deep breathing view to the sea and with the Faraglioni in nearly touchable distance offers the opportunity for a great dinner in an unforgettable, unique environment and atmosphere. The food (Michelin star) is outstanding with reasonable cost. Moreover and foremost the hotel is embedded in a nice big tropical garden area which is in the near of the Augustus garden. Overall we had an unforgettable vacation time at Luna and we would always go there again when we are at Capri.…
The location of this hotel is excellent. It’s close to the center, but removed from the noise and bustle. The views from our room were amazing and the grounds are magical. The service at breakfast was excellent and the pool service was impeccable. A great choice!
I went with my husband to Capri for 2 days, staying at hotel Luna was great, the staff is amazing, nice and lovely. The location of the hotel is just amazing, the view is beyond beautiful. Bethsa and Sam
My wife, 15-month-old baby and I had a hugely enjoyable stay at Hotel Luna. The location is ideal - peaceful but barely a 10-minute walk to La Piazzetta, with fabulous views of the Faraglioni - and the staff were faultless. To lower the average cost, we stayed in all three categories of room. The deluxe was worth the small premium over the superior and the superior was worth the premium over the standard but all are very fairly priced for the location. The website doesn't do justice to the pool area (though I'm not sure my picture does either!) - their club sandwich and a bottle of Falanghina made for the perfect afternoon of relaxation. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel itself is very beautiful and has an unbeattable view of the ocean and the Faraglioni. Big gardens, with lots of trees and flowers. Spacious room with a terrible hard bed and a big bathroom with a tub. Towels changed twice a day, what is great. Very simple plastic furniture in the balconies, same with the pool, that doesn't go with the hotel's price. Breakfast is very complete, with eggs made to order, in a beautiful scenery. The staff could be much more helpfull, we asked for a few things that they did not help us in any way (such as reservations at La Fontelina - they just said they coudn't do it for less thatn three days in a row, but our friend who were in other hotel misteriously succeeded in their reservation...). But the worst thing is that they rent their rooftop for parties for non guests and they DO NOT tell you that before you make the reservation. During our stay there was a party with very high noise until 1 a.m that bothered us absurdely, it seemed the DJ was inside our room and we couldn't sleep. When we complained, they said they coudn't do nothing, since the party wasn't theirs!!! We had to be up very early the next day, to pick up an already rented boat and we cound't sleep until the party was over. After we threatened not to pay that night, since we were not able to sleep, they offered us a dinner at the hotel restaurant the next day (very average food). It was a nice gesture, but it coud not erase the unbereable noise they just say 'they have nothing to do with it'. We had a good stay, after all it is Capri, the most beautiful island in the world. However, we would choose other hotel in the next time.…
