We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Mirimare, it was a delightful trip with a view of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The hotel was tastefully decorated, immaculately kept with a sun terrace and a small swimming pool area. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruit, baked goods, hams, cheeses, salamis, salads yoghurts etc. A special word to Jaimarco in the dining room and Emily at reception. Our room was bigger than average, cleaned daily with fresh towels, toiletries and bed linen changed regularly. The bed was comfortable and the room kept cool by air conditioning. The hotel is about 20 minutes from town, not for those with mobility issues as the road is difficult to cross, no pavement on 1 side and on a busy corner. Otherwise we would highly recommend this beautiful, boutique hotel in a quiet area of Sorrento

Wonderful views of the Gulf of Sorrento, excellent cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff but a little distracted, the customer must draw attention. Small but pretty pool, the size is justified by the fact that the hotel is set on a rocky ridge. Some difficulties for entering and exiting the hotel in curves due to the very busy road. Too bad for the poor breakfast if you want the price paid for the room and still not up to the level of this hotel, no typical product is offered such as cakes or local dairy products.

This place is truly amazing and special. Location is very good, right close to all the shops and restaurants. I was able to come to Italy and visit wonderful places thanks to Ms. Gabriella (Office Manager). She was able to accomodate our needs by having 2 rooms right next to each other. Ms. Gabriella and her entire staff were super nice and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Also, the breakfast was very delicious and we couldn't ask for anything more. In addition, Ms. Gabriella helped booked our taxi ride to and from Naples and I had no issues at all. Bruno, our taxi driver was funny, super friendly and very trust worthy. Ms. Gabriella also booked our excursions for all of us. Super easy and I didn't have to worry about anything. We look forward to coming back again. Thank you, Grazie Mille Gaanesh Joshi

The hotel has a beautiful sea view, bedroom and bathroom good, comfortable. The room in which we stayed had a large balcony overlooking the sea, the size and arrangement of the furniture suitable. A good breakfast, although not providing any hot dishes like mixed eggs. However, the care was very poor. When we arrived we were informed that we had not booked space for the car, despite several emails mentioning this. Then they admitted the mistake, but the treatment was not cuts. The room arrangement took place around 15am when we were back at the hotel (and we had to wait). The hotel is in a curve which makes it very difficult to get out by car or on foot. Really dangerous. The location on top of the hill is good for the view but bad for access to the city center (20 min walk. Go down and go up). I would not come back!

Our five day stay at The Miramare was all we could have hoped for. Our welcome at reception by Gabriella was embracing, friendly & professional. Our room on the 1st floor had a view of the bay & was very well equipped with towels (replaced each day by housekeeping) toiletries, and a terrific shower, a very comfortable bed and a useful safe. The WiFi was always reliable. Despite our room being on the road side of the hotel, we never found there to be excessive noise and we both slept very well each night. We had breakfast in the breakfast room or on the terrace with beautiful views over the bay of Naples. We were given a warm welcome each morning by Juliano & Franco who replenished the extensive spread immediately stocks depleted. The array of fresh breads, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals & yogurts meant we were spoilt for choice & the range of coffees allowed for all palates. The staff at reception, usually Gabriella or Amelia, were always very happy to help, giving details of tours & events we might be interested in, all information given with no pressure, but with a desire to allow us to enjoy our time in Sorrento. On our final morning we had to leave before breakfast & they kindly prepared a little breakfast bag of fruit, pastries & juice boxes. The town was easily accessible with a 10-15 minute walk enjoying stunning views (there is a bus service every 20 minutes, but the weather was fine & we enjoyed the walk) We highly recommend this hotel & will happily return if we are in Sorrento again. Thank you all at the Hotel Miramare

I really liked this hotel but the road completely stressed me out.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, we had a terrace area which overlooked the car park so not great but at least we had some outdoor space. The shower was amazing, hot and powerful. Room was spacious and lovely decor.
The breakfast was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was all continental but I loved having the salad food to start with, followed by fruit and then the best pecan nut pastry. My husband had the bread and said it was amazing. We also had lunch a few days which was cold meats, cheese, bread which was really good value for money.
So the road ….. Well the hotel is situated on a bend, I absolutely dreaded crossing the road because it’s a fast road too. In the end my husband would cross first (yes he’s a gent!) and then tell me when it was okay to cross. I’d then run the gauntlet! The walk into the centre is about 10-15 mins. The first part of this walk has no pavement, bits of the walk had very narrow pavements and the cars / busses / motorcycles don’t stick to the limit and wiz past. I’d dread going out for dinner because of the walk out and back! I am certainly glad we didn’t have children with us.
The setting for breakfast and the pool is beautiful but the road is noisy most of the time.
We did eat at the hotel opposite twice (still had to tackle the road) and that was lovely, fantastic views and because it wasn’t right on the road it was peaceful.
I know the road is no fault of the hotel and possibly I’m overly nervous because it didn’t affect my husband!
The staff were all very friendly so overall a good stay.

Let's start with the positives. Large rooms, though small showers, with million dollar views over Sorrento towards Napoli. Everything is light marble, white walls with blue accents. It can lack warmth for some tastes.
There is a sun deck with loungers and a pool (about 9 meters by 3 meters) which is unheated so, during some periods it is very cool. Too cool to swim in comfortably but lovely to hang out and have a break from the tourist chaos that is Sorrento.
It is a 25 to 30 minute walk from the main train station. 3/4 of that walk is flat and the last 1/4 is gentle uphill slope.
Be warned that the sidewalk on the uphill slope can narrow where you have to step onto the road when passing people or wait. The last 200 meters or so is an experience. The white line is 25 to 30 centimeters from solid wall and you are walking it, depending on which side you choose, with cars, bikes and busses whizzing by. Sorrento drivers seem used to tourists and their driving is organized mayhem.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Give enough notice and every request will be endeavored to be filled.
Yes there is road noise during the day. The Italians talk with their horns. It becomes part of the "music of Sorrento".
The breakfast has a fair bit of variety. If I were to be picky it's a coffee machine that automatically makes cappuccino rather than someone using a traditional expresso maker and milk steamer. It isn't quite the Italian cappuccino one might expect.
Due to the marble floors sound does carry. Doors close like they are slamming but guests figure it out pretty quick to try to be respectful. We always slept fine but other reviews have commented about noise issues which I can understand if a guest is loud and tromping about.
If you stayed down in Sorrento there would be the party nightlife noise to contend with.
Staying at Hotel Miramare makes you feel a bit elevated in style. Yes it's a 10 minute walk to the edge of the tourist district of Sorrento but the million dollar view is worth it. Overall I'm pleased with my choice for the price I paid. The hotel has wonderful outdoor areas which I appreciate when taking a break from the tourist chaos of Sorrento.

Another beautiful place on this trip located up over the harbor with flowers and the scent of gardenias everywhere. High ceilings, comfortable king size bed, strong shower but no bar to grip or tread on the shower floor and bring a washcloth with you, beautiful pool amongst the gardens and a good breakfast buffet. All the fruits were really fresh and tasty. Adequate number of outlets for charging phones. It’s about a 15-minute walk into town with another 10 minutes to the ferry. There’s no real walkway the first 50 meters before the sidewalk begins. It may take getting used to being an arm’s length away from some big bus, but the drivers are used to dealing with the foot traffic. We generally took a taxi on the way back uphill to the hotel. It was about 20 euros from the port and 15 euros from the main walkway through the town. Parking is 20 euros/day on premises. The people were really nice and they arranged to pick up the room key that I forgot to leave from my next hotel in Ravello.

Horrible customer service. I booked them at 6pm, I had until midnight to cancel my booking, I cancelled within 3 hours of booking and they will not give me a refund. Charged me over $1,000 USD. If you want to refund me then I will take down my bad review.

We loved this hotel from the moment we crossed the threshold. It’s bright and airy, tastefully decorated throughout. Our room was on the 2nd floor, so inviting with marine colours and we weren’t disturbed by the traffic. Lovely bathroom, lots of clean towels and good quality shampoo, body lotion, etc, all replenished daily if needed. Excellent wifi, fab breakfast with a plethora of choice. Giuseppe, the bar tender, makes a great cocktail, I would recommend the Morello Spritzer! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are all so helpful; we asked for extra coat hangers and they were delivered within 5 minutes to our room. They gave us restaurant recommendations, told us how to get to places and even had a suitcase scales. We were always greeting with smiles no matter what time of day. A big thank you to them all for making our holiday in Sorrento such a lovely experience
