can you walk to city centre

It is possible. We did it and it took us about 30 minutes to reach the Corte Ingles at the bottom of the park. The walk through the park to the Old Town is another good 45 minutes. Taxis are cheap and there is also public transport but we never worked out how that worked!!

Looking to book first week March 19. I note the outdoor pool will be closed, does this hotel have a spa? Cannot decide between this and Sercotel Sorolla? Thanks

Yes, this hotel does have a good spa but, as the previous reviewer said, it is a little out of town. There are always plenty of taxis (around 12€ to town) and there is good public transport. It depends what you want. This hotel is beautiful with lovely walks along the beach and if you want to just relax with the odd trip into Valencia (which is a must!) then stay here. If you want nightlife, sightseeing and shopping then stay closer to the centre. Hope this helps.

Hi i wondered if anyone can help me? im looking to book this for a long weekend in January. On travel republic it has a half board option but no idea where the meal would be, do you think it would be at Sorolla restaurant? Or do i go to local restaurants? Also is this a good base to explore for one day bearing in mind the time of year? thanks Shelley

Hi Shelley, just returned from Las Arenas Hotel. There is one restaurant at the hotel. Half-board is served in the Sorolla. There are several Local restaurants on the sea-front by the hotel too. There are 2 fantastic sights in Valencia. The Centre of Arts (the amazing shell-like buildings) is about 35 minutes walk. We had rain and sun in our 4 day stay. Not the most pleasant walk in the rain. The old town is a 1 hour walk away. We took taxi and it cost 8 Euros. The old town is beautiful. Be aware the hotel is somewhat isolated but beautiful and the sea front it sits on is impressive.

Do any of your 'twin rooms' actually have two separate beds? All the photos look like there are two beds just pushed together or a double...

Does the price of room reservation include access to the spa circuit for hotel guests, or is there an additional fee for spa access?

SPA is definitely charged separately. Only inclusion in the room rate is indoor swimming pool and gym. Sauna/roman bath etc and also relaxation pool are against fee. You though can ask them for free trial - which I did - it will give you opportunity during short 20-30 min visit to assess whether it is worth to pay for full day SPA.
