Fantastic experience at AR Diamanté hotel. We stayed at the hotel during our vacation in summer. Great hotel, great location, great entertainment and activities for adults and kids, nice pools, awesome food and lovely room. Overall we had an excellent stay.
We had a most enjoyable week here in this lovely hotel. The cleanliness could not be faulted and we found staff to be polite and professional yet friendly. Good choice of food for all meals (we were all inclusive) and picnic available if you were going out for the day or had early pick up for the airport. The hotel is very popular with groups of cyclists, who are catered for well but we had no issues with these. Well maintained SPA which appears to have won a few awards. We were on the 9th floor with lovely views of the sea and watch for the wonderful sunrises. Would have no hesitation staying here again
We spent 6 nights in this hotel and it was ok not more. Reception staff not too friendly. The rooms are boring and need of an upgrade. Breakfast was good but skip dinner, there are great restaurants in Calpe. The hotel is on the wrong side of the city.
We recently returned from a weeks stay at the AR Dimante Beach this was our fist stay at the hotel and Calpè. We are a family of four - two kids aged 6&9 and stayed half board. First impression were excellent - the hotel is spotlessly clean and has a very grand/executive feel to it as you walk in. Having stayed 4* & 5* on a number of occasions, the hotel, food and service definitely met the expectation of a good 4* hotel. The rooms were a little tired looking but comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent which made our siestas a lot more pleasant. They were cleaned to a very high standard each day - in fact the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were very helpful in organising transport for us to a wedding in El Campello (€75 in taxi) that’s a must to visit if you have a car. The pool area was perfect for us and we could keep an eye on the kids at most points around the area. Sunlounger availability was generally good, if you go down at around 09:30. Unfortunately, there were people who put towels down then left which was frustrating. I had saw the hotel did remove these in previous reviews but they didn’t when we were there. Again, pool area was cleaned thoroughly each day and spotless. Pool bar was good too, as was the lobby bar where you could get a drink and take it to the pool. €3 for a Cervesa I thought was decent. With regards to the food, great selection and both lunch and dinner - plenty of variety and staff were very pleasant and helpful.Nicely tasted too. Service was really good bringing drinks etc. Dress code was casual (shorts/t shirt but no beach wear) Entertainment could have been a bit better. It was all in Spanish so would have been nice to have it bi-lingual to cater for English speakers - we didn’t stay for long as we couldn’t really follow but the area is predominantly Spanish. We did find the language barrier a challenge at times with staff especially for an international hotel. Kids clubs again, mainly Spanish children as it was their holiday season so didn’t really make use of them. Our kids just loved the pool area. There is a new splash park across the road catering for kids around 5<, maybe? Surrounding areas, literally a 5 min walk from the stunning beach with remarkable sunsets. Beautiful promenade with loads of shops, bars and restaurants. No hens or stag doos. There are also 2 supermarkets across the road from the hotel for water and snacks. Overal,a really enjoyable stay at the AR Dimante and would recommend.…
Very impressed with this Hotel, nothing was to much trouble. Rooms very clean, food was excellent. Staff looked after us well, top marks to them. We on our way out of the hotel left a backpack in the foyer, the staff found it and arranged for it to be collected by a courier company in Alicante , 3 days later it arrived home. Very Impressed with the staff. Will be returning next year.
Previous posters have questioned the 4* rating for this hotel, and we agree with them that it's hard to see precisely why it achieves this star rating. The entrance area is impressive, the rooms are large, and the beds are comfortable. But, would a 4* hotel fail to provide a kettle and cups, have such a small poolside area with very limited shade options, and give guests paper cups that leaked and were never replaced? We enjoyed our stay, and the meals provided in the dining room were pleasant enough. Every meal seemed to involve long walks from our table to the various serving stations, and the position of food seemed to be constantly changing. By the end of our stay we felt that we had enough of the repetitive hotel offerings and started to eat out. Evening meals seemed to be especially disorganised and we did wonder whether enough staff were on duty in the kitchen. We were thoroughly fed up with the hotels system of NOT providing written information and telling us to download an app on our phones. We gave up on drinks with our evening meals and never went to the spa as we had no idea what was on offer. I think we would have spent a lot more money in the hotel if we had known what was going on, and the hotel management has to realise that not all its guests come on holiday with smartphones. On the positive side, the hotel is well positioned, close enough to the beach and the promenade, and convenient for local supermarkets. It is also on local bus routes, so if you go on a walk towards the old town and want to catch a bus back its a simple process. (Make sure you have a mask to get on the bus!) My tips if you are staying in this hotel would be: 1. Take a travel kettle if you like an early morning coffee watching the sunrise. 2. Pack your own pool towels, or make do with the hotels poor alternatives…
Very friendly, motivated and enthousiastic animators with very pleasent games for everyone. The animators make a realy good team. Always nice to meet them. The shows in the evening are also very nice for everyone.
Breakfast is not what it was pre covid Staff can’t be bothered Scolding hot water in shower followed by cold please don’t put children in the shower unattended They cater more now for Spaniards and cyclists Spa is full of adolescence teenagers Screaming kids late at night running down the corridor We have come here 3 times a year both spring and summer it’s just not the same place time to move on
I was in the Spa area, I have to say that it was impresive the infranstructure of installations and organization of the hotel at large. I was surprised with the good deals for spa + massage + buffet lunch or dinner . I loved the service. I chose the candle ritual massage. My massage therapist was Carlos, so proffesional, (I had a neck pain, I ended up renew, so relaxed) everything more than perfect. impeccable!! wishing going back again!!
Only "Average" (3/5) not "Very Good" (4/5) Pros : Good Covid precautions - all staff wearing masks. Generally very clean throughout. Bar/ restaurant staff very attentive, friendly and worked very hard. Cons : ATM machine didnt work with Reception staff reluctant to contact merchant with a " not our problem/ responsibilty" attitude. Only relented when I persisted with a 2nd member of staff and took 3 days to put a notice on machine. No toilet brush or bath slip mat in bath. Two used tissues on balcony floor for duration of our stay and partition screen looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time. Entertainment (Bingo and karaoke style duo) two nights only and only other bar closed accordingly !? Pool bar ( garden shed ) never opened....apparently opens very end of June ! No kettle in room ....apparently you can request one from Reception ( presumably they have several hundrerd to cover all requests ) but still no tea or coffee available. Paper cups in room - 4 star ?? Small smoking area but chastised if you took a patio chair with you. No Hotel info throughout property just bar code scanner points for meal times, bar prices, etc - ok if your phone has this facility but ours doesnt. Hotel name is misleading....nearest beach is 15mns walk away. Food quality generally good but a bit limited choice some days, particularly veg and rice dishes. In summary I consider this hotel 3 star not 4 star but others may disagree but not the people we spoke to. …
