We stayed for 11 nights All Inclusive. We got given a lovely room on the 9th floor, room 911. It had lovely views of the salt lakes and partial sea views in between high rise apartments. It had a very large balcony and we got the pool side view we asked for which has afternoon sun. The rooms were good and the hotel is well designed to keep noise down when you are sleeping as all the rooms branch off as soon as you get out the hotel lift so you do not hear noisy people walking past. There is also an internal door which you can shut to keep any noise down. We never heard any noisy guests.
The bar was good and there were hardly any queues. You could have bottled beer if you wanted or draft. Coca-Cola was out of bottles. You can have a packet of Doritos or other crisps, olives, snacks from the bar. The service was good.
We had previously stayed in their sister hotel RH Royal in Benidorm so we knew this was going to be a good hotel and the reviews were all mainly good.
The evening entertainment was held in the lobbly/bar area. You couldn't see a lot as the pillars were blocking your view. It was mainly cheap level entertainment anyway.
Calpe is 1/2 hour from Benidorm. I went on the bus for the day back to Benidorm, after first getting the local bus to the bus station. It was a good job I had been to Benidorm as the bus drops you off in a back street bus depot and you don't know where you are. I preferred Benidorm as that has loads of shops and has more of buzz about the place. My husband liked the quietness of Calpe. This hotel is on the outskirts of Calpe opposite the salt lakes, the town centre was a long walk if you went the sea front way.
Overall it is a good hotel which could be even better if the hotel became adults only. Crying kids in the restaurant was ruining my meal times and smoking should be banned on the terrace, occasional passive smoking was very irritating. Also the air conditioning in the lobby area could be a bit blowy at times, we had to move seats if you sat where the air conditioning was facing. Also it was lovely to see plants being grown in front of everyone's balcony. I do enjoy plants.

We spent 3 weeks at this hotel via Jet 2 who were excellent except for the long transfer time from the airport which was 2.5 hrs and then return to airport for flight at 12.50 we had to be outside the hotel for 7am! We are elderly and selected this holiday based on flight times and felt disappointed re the transfers.
Visit the Tourist Information when you arrive to collect bus timetables, train times etc which make life easy. Beware they are working on the train track until September which means on and off coaches for transfers. Buses connect with the train to and from the station.
Calpe is beautiful and very civilised and we visited surrounding areas via public transport. The bus ride to Moirara is nice as is the town itself. Visit the market on a Friday, right by the bus stop in Moirara. Bus stop is L3 near the Spa supermarket at Euro 1.50 per person each way.
HOTEL THE GOOD (We were on 10th Floor) Staff friendly, breakfast good selections, hotel close to public transport and several supermarkets. Good walks to Marina, Fosse Beach and promenade walk into Calpe central, nice large rooms with comfortable beds, plenty of storage. Water pressure in shower excellent but a little tricky existing shower over the bath if you are elderly. Laundrette available to do your own washing in basement. Pool area attractive.
HOTEL THE BAD Constant awful music in dining room and lobby area. A mirror is required over 'dressing table' in room. Housekeeping was the worst we have encountered. Our room was never serviced until 2-3 pm each day. We go out early and like to return to relax and seemed to always be waiting for the maid service. We stayed 3 weeks and not once were items moved on bedside tables or dressing table to dust. Do not expect a pleasant evening dining experience, more like a canteen, very noisy and hot choices poor and food lukewarm.

We spent 5 days on an "all inclusive" basis, my family of 7 people, all of whom are of legal age (my children and their partners are between 22 and 26 years old). I can only say good things. The spacious rooms, with a small terrace, good mattresses and acceptable pillows. Bathtub not very high. Good quality buffet. The breakfast was very complete and at lunch and dinner there was always grilled fish and meat, very delicious rice, lots of fruit and vegetables. The all-inclusive is very complete with all kinds of ice creams and drinks. The staff was very friendly despite the hotel being full. We highlight the kindness of Belki in the dining room, Javier in the cafeteria, Alina and a very nice guy from Senegal at the grill whose name, unfortunately, I have forgotten. All the reception staff were also very friendly. The outdoor pool is beautiful and well-kept and the indoor pool is very warm and inviting for bathing. The gym is also good with plenty of machines. Very good night entertainment. We no longer have small children but we saw that they had a great time and then music and dancing for the adults very well. The location is close to the Flamenco Lagoon and next to the promenades with many places to have a drink and the beach. In short, some very relaxed, fun and complete days of Easter. I recommend this hotel without a doubt for all ages and especially for families.

Stayed her last week on an all inclusive basis. The hotel was very clean in all areas. The hotel rooms, restaurant and all public areas were super clean. The beds were comfy and the bathroom spacious. Rooms were regularly serviced and spotless.
The food and drink at the hotel were one of the best all inclusive's we have recently been to in terms of the freshness, quality and availability. The measures were generous, the cola was Coca Cola varities in cans and not off the pump and the ice creams were all those available and not just the a small selection of tub icecreams.
The pool area was lovely and there were always plenty of beds available no matter what time of day you came down. It was a little disappointing that lilo's were not allowed in the pool as we had children but understandable. The pool area and bar was clean and tidy with quality sun beds available. It was disappointing however that you were not allowed any balls in the pool. This was particularly difficult to explain to the children in our party when the kids club would get in and play pool volleyball daily. Once day the lifeguard let them play with the small ball whilst it was going on another day they wouldn't and that was really confusing. This is consistent with the review from devilcake below and was really disappointing. The pool was never really busy during the whole week we were there and it really could have been managed a lot better. We were advised the only way they could play ball was for that hour and only if they signed up for mini club and joined in the game.
Reception staff were vvery helpful as we had 2 stressful situations. We had ordered 2 taxi's to get to a wedding and only 1 arrived. 35 minutes later we were still waiting and Laura was great, but unfortunately not successful, in contacting the company a few times and trying other companies. Also 1 of our group had an accident at the hotel and the staff in the kitchen and reception were very helpful in quickly getting us assistance.
The hotel is very spanish orientated and the first 2 nights the children's mini disco entertainment was in spanish with no english at all. However, after speaking with the Manager this was quickly rectified the next night. The Animation Team however don't really encourage the engagement of the english children in the Kids Club and we were not approched by the Team around the pool with our children to join in any activities.. This is the one thing that I think could do with improvement as they would know from their hotel registrations that they have english families, even if there were in the minority, during that period.
Hotel is in a great location close to the beach and many bars and restaurants

We were very happy with our stay here the past five nights. Lots of compliments and little criticism to offer. The hotel is nicely located within <5min walk to a public beach in Calpe (pretty equidistant between Alicante and Valencia). The hotel is bright, modern, clean, and well maintained. The staff are all friendly and helpful (reception, bar, restaurant, housekeeping). The pool is popular with plenty of loungers, a refreshing waterfall, a soothing jacuzzi, and a popular lagoon (hire towels for EUR10 - swap for a fresh towel as often as you like). There is a poolside bar and a lobby bar both serving food and drink at reasonable prices. The restaurant is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the food is varied and of a good standard. Rooms are kept clean and the bathroom was in great condition (no mould for example). Housekeeping did a great job of keeping the room looking fresh every day. There is car parking available at a charge - but the underground car park is a squeeze. Coffee at breakfast is not good - a bean to cup machine would be a significant improvement.
The town of Calpe is lively and popular but not rowdy with drunken tourists. There are plenty of restaurants along the promenade including some fantastic ice cream shops too. The beach is clean and large - and popular even after sunset. The view of houses nestled along the steep wooded hills along the coastline is serene.

How this hotel gets such high scores is a mystery to me. Fairly quiet hotel with a view of the sea and Ifach, at least if your room is on the sea side, but otherwise you look at the other blocks around. Rooms are outdated and in urgent need of renovation. The rooms are clean but you shouldn't look too closely. There is a kettle and instant coffee in the room, tastes differ, but for us the instant coffee was undrinkable. Fortunately, you have a Spar nearby where you can go for better products. The restaurant really gives a refectory feeling, especially with the sliding of the very noisy chairs. Both breakfast and evening meals are provided but have little or no variety. Eating the same food every day, often undercooked and lukewarm. Vegetables often come from pots and are kept warm, or at least that is what people try to do. Drinks are charged, even water with food if you don't have all-inn, and are sold at an expensive price. Just like the drinks at the bar. The swimming pool is unpleasant and some more maintenance could be done there. The floor was dirty and there were dirty spots on the edges of the pool. We will never go to this hotel again.

We found the RH Ifach Hotel to be a lovely modern hotel, our room was on the 11th floor and we were lucky to be facing the Rock and a view of the sea from between the other buildings. There were 4 lifts and could be slow at times coming to your floor especially meal times etc but we didn't find that was too much of a problem for us, Bedroom we were surprised to see that the room was quite large with two bed pushed together with bedside tables. one with a telephone. There was also a table on the other wall underneath was a cupboard on one side and a fridge on the other, There was also a tray with a kettle, mugs, tea, coffee sugar milk etc. On the wall was a television that you could get BBC News and a channel of BBC programmes. The balcony was large with 2 chairs and a table, which got the sun in the morning. There was a large wardrobe with mirror doors, coat hangers and the safe, which was free to use. The bathroom again was large with a deep bath with a shower above and the usual bidet, toilet etc. There was toiletries on the side, small bottles of shampoo, body cream, bath gel, soap, toothbrushes etc, if you ran out you only had to ask for more. The room and bathroom were cleaned every day and the floors mopped, towels changed when you requested. Meals we went half board as we like to get something when we go out for the day, Breakfast was great fruit juices, cereals and the usual egg, bacon etc etc the woman on the hot plate made brilliant omelettes, I couldn't fault the breakfast you could even have a Bucks Fizz, too early for me. I am sorry to say I can't say the same for the evening meals, they were at times only just warm, The soup was always good and the small bowls of different types of salad were good and the deserts of small cakes, jellies etc were really nice but the main courses left a lot to be desired. This could be because I do not eat red meat and there was a lot of it and I like plain food. My husband on the other hand always found some thing he enjoyed, although he agreed we have had better food on other holidays. Speaking to other guests they agreed that the food in the evening was not as good as lunchtime I can't comment on lunch as we never had that. Overall we enjoyed our holiday as the swimming pool is lovely and plenty of sunbeds we never found a problem getting one. We didn't use the Gym or indoor pool so can't comment. I must say that we found all the staff members to be very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful

We had this hotel recommended to us by a friend and it ticked almost all of the boxes. It was situated in an excellent position, not fa from the lake and a short walk to a lovely beach. The reception was very grand and the staff very knowledgeable and welcoming. Our room was on the 11th floor and had fantastic views of the Rock and Bay. There were three of us in the room so it was a little cramped. I slept on a double bed that had been put up in front of the balcony window. I didn't have any side table or lamp nut my friends were in two singles so had better amenities. The food was overall good and varied, just a few dishes were luke warm. The pool area was well appointed and you could get a beach towel everyday for 10 euros which was refunded at the end of the week. Overall a good stay.

This was our second visit to this hotel. It has an excellent warm indoor pool although it is compulsory to wear a swimming cap. This seems rather silly to us. Men with beards and hairy chests do not have to cover those up!!!! Our room on the 13th floor was comfortable but the sofa would have been better with a few cushions. A walk in shower would also be better than having a bath tub with shower as we are elderly. The meal choice is generally good....it was better on our previous visit in November, perhaps due to the seasonal fruit at that time. The staff are helpful and bright and cheerful and the cleaners work very hard and kept our room very nice. The hotel is very well positioned centrally in Calpe for walking around and my wife who needs a walker now found it all mostly nice and flat for walking about.

First Impression : Clean hotel, from outside to Inside. And the decor was new. Loved the plantation, pool and The Staff.
Reception : is 24/7 and the reception staff is very helpful.
Bar: premium whisky like Dewars, Beers Mahou&SanMiguel, all premium cocktails made full inclusive worth it. Above all the bar staff is very efficient, hardly any waiting times and they work really hard. Thanks to Angela, Javier, Daniel, Jesus and Eva.
Room: was big, with fantastic pool/lake views. Bathroom was with a jacuzi. Linen and towels are changed every day. Room cleaners are very nice, they made sure room is cleaned every day and they even gave some chocolates and drinks on valentines day which was a nice touch.
Food: food was a good spread and i must say every day for 6 nights i had a different meal. I didn't see any repeat. deserts were delicious and the restaurant staff made sure we had drinks every time. Thanks to Sandra, Sergio, Cristiano, Jose, Mary and Johana.
Location : is perfect, next to Rock Ifach, Beach and marina.
This is a Saga property for old people (especially British) which kept complaining and moaning about kids, other European tourists and cyclists around . Few families including us really didn't like and this spoilt our experience. Hotel staff were kind and mentioned if the old people have problem then it's a family hotel not old age care home. Staff mentioned during off season 95% occupancy is old people and during peak season 70-80% Young . I will visit this hotel again but during peak season to make sure my kids aren't bothered. To be honest if British tourists have problems with Europeans the go to your mini Britain, Benidorm and leave Calpe alone.
Entertainment : every evening something is going on. For kids Jorge made sure kids were entertained every day from kids club, trempoline, play area, soft football, mini golf. Thank you Jorge. There is a free heated pool and sauna which was icing on the top.
Lastly, Spanish Staff was very kind, attentive, helpful and lovely.
