Visited this hotel for 5 days. Great location very close to the beach with a sea view from the bedroom window. Room was very clean and plenty of hot water. Food was some of the best had on a buffet. Plenty of choice and nice and hot. Would recommend this hotel in Calpe.
We stayed one week and really enjoyed it. The hotel is in a much quieter part of the city while still right next to everything that matters. Right on the sea with every room having a view of the sea. At the very end of the beach putting you on the boardwalk, but away from most of the noisy areas. It is 100 meters from two large grocery stores. If you are staying a number of days try to get the 44 m2 room as the 20 m2 would probably get cramped, even for 2 people.
Breakfast and diner was good and enough variety. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The location of the hotel was very good - it was only a few minutes walk to the beach and the very nice boulevard. In front of the hotel was a tourist train to the old center of Calpe for only €4 (per person)
Great massage for children, friendly, patient and very professional, zen atmosphere, perfect chocolate massage respecting privacy, their treatments are restorative, targeted and relaxing. To recommend !!!
I have stayed at the Roca Esmerelda for many years. It is great value for money, the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasurable. The rooms are clean and comfortable and spotless. The food is excellent and I can highly recommend the scrambled eggs for breakfast, it is right on the beach, on a good bus route for getting around. There is also a full-size fridge in your room as well as complimentary shower/shampoo and nice white soft towels, the balconies are large and you have a drying rack for all your wet costumes and things. The swimming pool is lovely and clean with plenty of sun beds and shades. There is also a heated indoor pool which is free to hotel users (swing at must be worn) .. Al in all a great hotel..
We booked as it was my 65th and another's 75th birthdays, we had 2 phone calls to ask what can be done to make it special a mention of a cake, on check in the other couple went first ,then ours we were given an upgrade to all inclusive we were told that it wasn't a mistake.when told other couple they questioned why they didn't have it , it took 2 days for them to realise it was a mistake and took the all inclusive back but gave us all free drinks in restaurant. A very confusing few days we still didn't get anything for birthdays. Food was plentiful and delicious, plenty of sun loungers but only 4 umbrellas not good enough for a hotel that size.rooms are in need of a update but a large balcony. Very pleasant stay.
It is for Spanish guests and not really for English especially if you are all inclusive. Lovely location right by seafront. Great little bar across road by the train ,ideal for snacks. Excellent restaurant around the corner. We ate out rather more than we were going to.
My wife & I came back from this one last Saturday. Yes, the hotel is dated but the position & cleanliness of the hotel is brilliant. The staff are lovely and will help anyway they can. Rooms are huge, cleaned every day. you could park a ship on the balcony. The hotel supplies you with a free safe & fridge and kettles can be acquired at reception. Being disabled, we had a room with a shower room, hot water every time. Food, well I'm sorry, if you can't find anything to eat with what's on offer then your not really trying, I never had a chip all week. Your right on the beach and we were lucky to have fab weather. The only downside was a wonky lampshade on my side of the bed. 😊
Just returned after a week at the hotel. The positives : Nice size rooms cleaned daily. Comfy beds, staff friendly and very hard working . Location fantastic. Pool was great, lots of beds available . Bar prices were very reasonable , cheaper than most bars in area. Negatives : rooms very dated , hotel a bit boring, entertainment really poor , Boring and geared to older people. Food, well this was the worst part of the holiday for us . Yes it was geared towards the Spanish but that wasn’t the problem , the problem was the quality of it . Very bland , repetitive and poor quality. Call us fussy but we don’t eat runner beans,Peas or rice for breakfast! The deserts were awful and it was all very samey . We are British but didn’t want British food as some previous reviewers have suggested, we just would have liked tastier food . Trust me my hub will eat anything but even he struggled here. We enjoyed our holiday but probably would not stay here again , or Calpe as there wasn’t enough to do .…
Just feel the rooms need updating, but they are very spacious and comfortable. Also a bonus is the storage most we have ever had. Also liked the sofa in the room a nice touch.Always had plenty of hot water.
