The nearest metro station to the hotel is a 20-minute walk away. The only way to go to the center is on a bus that leaves you very close to the main square in around 15-20 minutes. The sector is very basic, it has a shopping center a 15-minute walk away. The room was clean but you could hear all the noises from the other rooms, I couldn't rest because you could even hear the water coming down the pipes very loudly… The hotel is mostly for tour groups, I don't recommend it if you are going to travel You can only find better locations for similar prices. The food was good but the churros always sold out quickly and were never restocked. I give it a 3/5

This was our first day in Madrid being in a tour group, We arrived at 9:30 am after being awake for more than 24 hours. They were very accommodating and allowed us in our room
early so we could freshen up.
Rooms were small and we were on the 2nd floor facing an alley therefore no view. Coming from the states the air conditioning was welcomed since the weather was high 90,s
We spoke no Spanish and we’re assisted by Mustapha who was bilingual. He assisted us tremendously and was a huge asset in explaining the bus routes to us as well as how to obtain wi-fi outside of the hotels. International SIM card is a must if you want to use wifi. In the morning there was an assortment of breakfast to select! Slightly outdated decor and minimal space to sit in the lobby but otherwise a nice stay and good customer service.

Though the hotel claims to be a 4-star facility; it is at best a 3 star grade hotel.

This hotel is not centrally located; but has a direct bus connection to Plaza Mayor. It is situated in a residential area and on a strip mall. Location offers some conveniences though—there are two grocery stores—one right in front of the hotel and the other on the left side (a few meters away) as one comes out. There are many eating places and a laundromat in the vicinity. There is also a medium sized mall about a 10-minute walk from the hotel—where one could shop like locals.

Rooms are below average size and the furniture has seen better days. Cleanliness is average and we did see a cockroach on the last night of our stay. Rooms facing the strip-mall could be noisy. Rooms on the back of the hotel are quite but they open to a residential area offering a good view of drying laundry. We stayed there twice and we have been allotted rooms on both sides of the hotel.

Some reception staff could quite curt—particularly when busloads of tourists arrive/leave. Reception area gets quite crowded in the morning particularly after 7.30 am when most tourist busses leave.

Breakfast buffet offers a wide choice and the food is generally good. Since the hotel seems to be the favourite of tour groups, breakfast area gets quite crowded at about 7.30 am—with queues near the coffee machines.

The staff is very nasty, being a normal couple I booked a double room but I received a twin room with 2 separate beds with a bedside table in the middle, when I went to the reception they said they had nothing to do and if it doesn't suit us we can leave, this after which we had already paid in full. The old rooms, with torn wallpaper, being in the 21st century you need sockets to charge a camera, laptop, phone. There were only two sockets in the room and those were located next to the TV, so there's no question of charging your phone on the bedside table at night so you can hear the alarm in the morning. Mess in the reception. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I spent 2 nights in this hotel and although the facilities are okay, the fact that I had a rather expensive jacket 'go missing' gives me enough reason to never go back.
I admit I left the jacket in the room and only realised a couple of hours after check-out. I called and went back to the hotel just to be told they haven't had it handed in. I remember exactly where I left it and the staff seemed annoyed that I was upset. I never accused them of anything while I was there but none of the staff seemed to care that my property had gone missing in their hotel.
To conclude, I would not recommend leaving anything expensive in your room as no one will help when it 'goes missing'.

The worst service of any hotel I’ve ever been to. Full of non stop tour groups, the lobby is always filled with new tour groups so you can never get anyone’s help at the front desk. It’s extremely loud and unpleasant. The food and service in the restaurant is horrible. The people at the front desk are rude and unfriendly. No service whatsoever. The walls are extremely thin and I got woken up at 6am from someone else’s alarm in another room that would not stop. I asked them to call me a taxi and they didn’t and I almost missed my dinner reservations that I booked months in advance. The location is also horrible, not close to anything worth seeing and not within walking distance to any attractions. Not a very nice area.

Spent a week here. It has good facilities and is well positioned to get around Madrid. Lots of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. Buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. The reception check-in area gers very busy at times. The staff on reception did get flustered as I witnessed a couple of times. Nice peaceful restaurant on the ground floor where I used to drink my daily cup of English tea with seperate cold milk "Té inglés con leche fría separada" lol.
There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel where you can take a bus to the nearby Metro station, or to anywhere else in the city.

Hotel Praga is in a good location with cafes, restaurants and the large Plaza Rio 2 shopping centre nearby. The hotel is around the corner from the Vincente Calderon Stadium. This hotel is used by tour group companies so may not be suitable for individual travellers. There are only two lifts and one was not working when we stayed. The River Manzanares is at the back of the hotel and has nice walking paths on one side with parkland on the other side of the river. Our room was small with a shower over the bath, very clean, but no tea making facilities in the room which seems to be the norm in Spain now. There is a mini bar and you have to pay for bottled water. There is a safe in the room and WiFi. This hotel has a large breakfast area but unfortunately due to the tour group numbers many of the breakfsst items had run out.

Hotel not central but well served by public transport, metro 800m away and city bus stop in front.
Good price range compared to the prices offered by the city.

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, warm but equipped with air conditioning that can be adjusted to your liking.
The rooms facing the street are very noisy, even being on the 7th floor.

Positive note for us Italians, the bathrooms, in addition to being spacious and clean, are equipped with a bidet.

Friendly and kind staff.

Negative note: breakfast is too expensive for what it offers, especially for the sweet pieces.

Nonetheless a pleasant stay

Thank you

The receptionists were all competent and very friendly, all the staff were very helpful.

The room was very clean and quiet, nothing to say. The bedding was of good quality and the breakfast rich and varied. The displays were very well stocked and the room was also very clean and quickly cleaned between each customer.

THANKS ! I highly recommend.

do not. you must go to the atocha station which is 25 minutes walking or 7 by taxi and from there you have metro, bus and train. probably the hotel can also provide the transfer to the airport

On the website nothing is mentioned about free luggage storage. Better to call / email and ask as you don't want a shock on arrival. They may have it for all I know. I think there are luggage storage options at the Atocha or airport for a day. At the Atocha they are located near the Burger King in the tropical part of the station. I assume the airport will have luggage storage but you have to pay. I don't think its that expensive compared to the headache of lugging around your luggage around Madrid. Hope it helps.

If you put your question on Google you will see there are so many places to find the Mango and Zara shops. I looked it up and found so many that it would be impossible for me to cut and paste all of them here. Which one is closest you can decide by looking at their website. There were over 20 stores all over for Mango alone. Just google: mango stores in Madrid and you will see what I mean
