We felt we had to write a review , even though we didn't stay here... We had half a day to kill before our flight and decided to take the train to Sitges from Barcelona. Unfortunately, we had luggage with us and the luggage storage place was closed... After asking a few big chain hotels if it was possible to store our luggage , for a fee, we were turned away and nearly gave up hope... One last try - Los Globos looked friendly (hopefully..). And it was ;) The owner happily stored our bags in a secure room and in that moment of kindness, he changed our day from lugging bags in the heat, to a relaxing and very enjoyable day before a flight back. We did pop our heads through the lounge and bar area and it looked clean and very inviting. The owner is a kind man, who clearly loves animals (when 2 beautiful cats strolled in) and a cheeky parrot in the reception area, saying 'hola' to all guests. I would recommend this place purely on the kindness of this man. Thank you so much! Oh and a big thank you too for even phoning a taxi for us to the airport!
Spent a week here. It’s a great location. Literally on the beach. My room was a bit tired but it reflects the cost. It’s a 2 star not 5 star. Room was cleaned really well every day. However the noise it absolutely horrendous. I was ground floor next to reception and there was never a quiet moment. But worst of all it was the noise from the room above. You could hear every single movement and sound. Apart from that great hotel and the staff were lovely
Stayed here for 3 nights with group of 6 of us.Had a great time. The staff are friendly and fun.The rooms all very clean, a little tired in places but safe and comfortable. Each has an outdoor space. We always got a warm welcome and any help needed from staff. They booked resteruants for us.Made awesome classic cocktails. It is a kitche classic old school hotel family run feel.Tommi the labrador is always happy to see you, as is the parrot.Breakfast is French style and good value.Hotel is 15 mins walk to central bar and restuarant area.Very quiet , safe neighbourhood with the beach less than 2 min walk round the corner. Good value for money.Mosquitos a little annoying in the garden outdoor sitting area, so go prepared, but is the time of year and to be expected with all the lush greenery around ground floor.Would stay here again.
The hotel was no different from the description online which is always very pleasant. The staff is so kind and helpful, especial thanks to Mika who gave us succinct but full explanations on what to do and where to go. The best features: quiet rooms, excellent breakfast, helpful, kind always smiley staff, and good price. Definitely worth it, just regret not booking more nights in the hotel ‘cause decided last minute to stay a few more days in Sitges. Say hello to Coco!
We checked in and were shown to our room...up 2 flights of stairs, out into the laundry drying area and then we ( myself and my 69 year old husband) had to negotiate a very steep spiral staircase up on to the roof where it appears 2 extra rooms have been built. Our room had to be the smallest I have ever stayed in, less then 2mtr wide. No place to store luggage, no drawer space and the smallest of wardrobes. In need of a makeover. Wash basin in ensuite cracked. Shower so small that each time I turned around I caught the tap and the water went off. I'm not large, weighing around 75 kilo.
A large roof terrace but again in need of upgrading.
Breakfast acceptable, though I do wish other guests would be courteous and refrain from smoking when others are eating. Plain old bad manners.
