This hotel is a little gem. Its location is excellent, 5 mins walk from Las Ramblas, 5 mins from the water front and 15 mins max to Port Vell where all the harbour bars and restaurants are. There are lots of local restaurants nearby too. The rooms and spotless and have body wash, shampoo, body lotion, hand wash supplied. There is a safe deposit box and a mini fridge which has complimentary apple, orange and pineapple juice plus still and sparkling water. Our room look out onto the centre of the hotel at the back so it was quiet - cannot comment on noise level at the front on the main road but windows seemed well sound proofed. There is a gym which we didn't use but, it seemed very well equipped and opened early. The hotel has a very chilled and trendy vibe and the decor is representative of this with lots of coloured seating, potted plants and fabulous lights. The restaurant area is really good and the food is fabulous (we ate our evening meal there one night and it was excellent). We did not have breakfast in the hotel but it looked great. We tended to eat breakfast in a little cafe directly across the road. The highlight for my friends and I were the STAFF. Every single staff member went out of their way to make our experience a really lovely positive one. A particular shout out should go to Ryan on the front desk who went above and beyond, even leaving the hotel to help my friend who had been sold stamps that were not legal. Ryan dealt with the vendor and obtained a full refund for her. He recommended some great restaurants and rooftop cars and phoned on our behalf to check out availability and menus etc. A true gentleman and professional. I loved Barcelona and its vibe and this hotel was part of the reason I enjoyed it so much. I would 100% return to the city and would definitely stay at the Innside Melia Barcelona Apolo when I do.

We stayed 1 night before joining a cruise , when we arrived only one room was ready pre check in so we left bags and went off to explore Barcelona with las ramblas about a 15 min walk away .Check in clerk was very friendly and recommended some great places to eat authentic tapas in ‘carrer de blai’ about 10 min walk from the hotel . The room was nice,clean ,modern and included a minibar with water and juice. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic with a great choice of hot and cold options and good quality produce . Check out the next day was also met with friendly helpful staff who assisted us with a taxi to our cruise ship . Would definitely recommend anyone stay here very handy for the port or just for a stay on the city . We will definitely return !

I had a great stay at this hotel. I took the Areobus to the Plaza España then rode the tram and it spit me out right by the hotel. So really easy to get to access public transportation. The location of the hotel was ideal as all the key sights and areas are either a short walk or a few tram stops away. I found my hotel room to be very comfortable and I really liked the way the room was structured and organized. I slept very well and found the bed to be comfortable (I was sick a few nights, and that was a true test of comfort!). I also appreciated that the hotel let me check in a bit early, especially after a really early morning flight.

Currently staying at INNSide by Melia Barcelona Apolo with family to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Good experience with the check in after 16 hours flight, they let us check in earlier. The next morning we put the sign make up the room before we went out. when back at night, they rubbish was not disposed, the cups still dirty not washed, tissue box is empty not refilled, water not refilled, hand towel was not given. The only thing that I saw was done is the bed has been tidied up. I am pretty sure that they don’t even have the basic disinfecting the room and bathroom. Bathroom was dirty and clearly not even simple cleaning. The only thing probably I will say all the receptionist are pretty good, friendly and attending to our complaint. But my expectation on Melia Group chain of hotel is higher on the standard of cleanliness.

Me, hubby and our teenage daughter stayed here for 4 nights in the February half term. Our purpose for the trip was to watch a FC Barcelona match because my daughter is a big fan. I emailed the hotel and asked them if I could book breakfast as an add on as it wasn't included , to notify them it was our daughter's birthday so could we have a quiet room. We arrived around 10 pm and check in was very quiet and first impressions were good. The hotel was really modern and pristine and the chap who checked us in was really friendly and knowledgeable. He advised its better to book breakfast on check in for the whole 4 night stay as its cheaper that way rather than paying on the morning. He advised our room was 576 along the end of the corridor I said as long as it is quiet then that will be fine. The room was really specious for the three of us and very clean. The mini bar is replenished every day as long as you use it, with juices x 3, still water x 3 and fizzy water x 3. This was a great perk. The breakfast is pretty good, not much tea and coffee choice, just machines and it got busy after 9. We only made that mistake once. Doughnuts were good and there was an egg counter. We had issues with our safe while we were there and this was a bit annoying as we had to wait in for this to be resolved. We also discovered on the Saturday night that our room was above a nightclub which was a bit annoying also as we never got much sleep that night. There was no recognition of it being my daughter's birthday but I guess it's a hotel chain and the pixie dust for birthdays and occasions probably doesn't get a thought. Housekeeping were always very late to the room which was a tad tedious. We picked this hotel as it looked good and was convenient for the football. Its location was great, McDonalds a block away, Las Ramblas ten minutes walk and the port a 15 minute walk. Would I stay here again. Yes probably but would ask for a room facing inside.

Brilliant hotel, they filled up the fridge for us for free everyday (typically water both sparkling an still and different type of fruit juices) and cleaned our room daily. Comfiest and biggest bed EVER! Perfect location walking distance to Las Rambla and train station and bus stop right outside to get everywhere else. Highly recommend staff were so friendly, would defo go back.

Arrived at this hotel before the stated check-in time, however the gentleman on the reception desk checked us in a professional and friendly manner and gave us options for alternative rooms which were ready right away.
Our room was spotless and completely functional. The room was bright, modern and airy with a complimentary minibar stocked with waters and juices which is a nice touch. The bathroom is practical and had a large shower.
The breakfast area felt small, however there were always table available. There was a great selection of food available and the presentation was appealing.
The location of the property is pretty good, walking distance to La Rambla, cafe's on your doorstep and a Metro station just outside the hotel.
The overall feel of the property is lovely and I'd be more than happy to return here and most definitely recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here with our three children for 7 days and I can honestly say that this was probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at. All staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. They never tired of giving directions or answering questions. Shout out to Fernand, Josep and the evening staff serving in La Terraza who were so patient especially when we attempted to speak Spanish to them!! Breakfast was varied and very tasty. The hotel is also very central, the metro/bus goes to the main attractions including La Familia Sagrada, Placa de Espana and Montjuic. Las Ramblas is about 5-10 minute walk. The only thing I would say is that the short cut to Las Ramblas from the hotel is a bit seedy. It does lead to Palau Guell but would advise not walking through there too late in the evening if you have young children. Above all we had a great stay and really appreciate the staff who helped to make our holiday memorable.

What a wonderful hotel. Yes, it it’s spotless, with beautiful furnishings, luxury bedding and lovely bath condiments but what stood out to me was every member of staff smiled, said good morning and asked if we needed anything. There was one staff member tjay went above and beyond, and that was Ryan. Fantastic rapport, answered all of our questions and was able to provide us with local recommendations and fantastic service. We ended up chatting for quite some time because we got on so well! The staff are a huge asset to this company , otherwise it would just be another lovely hotel! Thank you Ryan and all the team. I would like to give a big thanks to Laura who gave us an incredibly warm welcome upon our arrival into INNSiDE MELIA. She was very helpful and got us checked in right away. Our room was spotless and cleaned every day whilst having breakfast. There was a wide breakfast selection with something for everyone. All the food was presented beautifully and was very fresh. The room was incredibly quiet despite being on a main road, we couldn’t hear anything once the balcony doors were shut. Our mini fridge offered a lovely selection including pineapple,apple, orange juice and waters which were all included in the room pricing and restocked each day. The building in a great location with the metro being a 1 minute walk. There are lots of places to eat around the hotel which is even more convenient.
We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back and visiting other MELIA destinations.
