4 starts based on cleanliness and service which was very good and efficient. The location is also great as it is close to 2 metro stops and very close to Placa de Catalunya and Placa Universitat.
Most basic amenities are available e.g. a hair dryer, hangers in wardrobe, telephone, etc. You may also request other amenities such as kettle, etc however we never asked for this. I would say that the breakfast was somewhat disappointing however this is optional so you can save yourself spending 30 euros and spend them elsewhere for a better breakfast. All in all it was a good experience and would book this hotel again if I ever visit Barcelona again as it is clean, with good service, polite staff and also great location!

This was a very nice hotel located in a great area. I stayed there for 5 nights. Gabriel greeted us and was very nice, pleasant and helpful. Maria and the door guys were very courteous as well. The reason I gave this a 3 star rating is because the hotel information says DAILY housekeeping but if I didn’t go to the front desk to ask for housekeeping service my room would NOT get cleaned. I stayed in a suite which is higher in price than the normal rooms. I was assuming the housekeeping would be done without me having to request it DAILY (which I really hated to do) One of the young ladies at the front desk named Julia was NOT plesant or friendly to deal with and whenever I would tell her that my room needed cleaning (after the entire day of waiting for houskeeping service) she would not do a thing about it and would just give me a look like she did not care and wanted me to leave. I had told her that I needed towels one day and did she NOT do a thing to get them for me. I had to BEG her for my room to get cleaned. I really feel that she needs more training in dealing with people and customers service. The 5 night I was there she was never friendly or helpful. Thank you Gabriel, Maria and the guys at the front desk for your plesant, helpful and friendly attitude. You guys are the best MINUS Julia.

Great location! Great location! Great location! We had a really spacious room and so did our other companions, who had a great balcony. Unfortunately, the other couple with us (who paid for the same Superior Room accommodation) had a much smaller room than ours. We liked the two doormen who were very personable and Milbert at the Front Desk was very helpful. Pepe, however, was a little terse in his manner with us and rather than trying to be helpful, he had a brusque way about him that was not very customer-friendly.

The breakfast was okay, but when we asked if there was a drinking glass for water and a drinking glass for orange juice, we were told we used the one glass for both. When we were hanging out @the dining room after breakfast while waiting for our chauffer to take us to the airport on our last day, one of our companions used one of the drinking glasses on the table for water, the waiter came up to us to tell us that we were not to use any of the items on the table as they were set for breakfast only. Overall, though, our stay was fine, especially on our last night when we went to the wonderful balcony of one of our companions' rooms and had a nice nightcap. Like I said, great location!

I booked a room for a single person and was shocked to see I had been given a room (like a box) with every wall with brown wooden panelling. It felt claustrophobic/oppressive and I felt I had to go out during the day and be there only to sleep.I considered the price per night exorbitant for what it was. The breakfast which was an additional charge offered a selection but certain items that other guests had taken was not replenished by staff. Overall I would never recommend this hotel to anyone as I felt it was overpriced for a box-like room! Would say that the photos on the site are not necessarily the room you will be allocated on the day. What a waste of money!

The hotel is perfect. The room is clean, well organized with all necessary amnesties. The staff is nice and helpful. We didn't order a breakfast but were offered a coffee which is great to start your day. The location is central, surrounded by restaurants and shops, very easy to walk any place by foot. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Terrible experience staying at this hotel. When we got into the rooms, we found a nest of ants in the living in the walls of the bathroom. When we told the staff, they had to send 3 separate individuals to confirm 3 times with the front desk that we indeed did have bugs in the walls of our bathroom as if we and their staff were lying about it. Once the front desk finally believed us and their own staff, they went to look themselves and attempted to kill all visible bugs and pretend there was no problem. Unfortunate for them, the issue was pretty bad and there were also bugs out near the bed. After a long back and forth they finally decided that they should change our room given that our room was infested with bugs but the attitude that we were given was as if we had created a massive hassle in not just dealing with the bugs and living with them for our vacation. Once they finally agreed to change our room, they decided it was a great ideal to downgrade our room as we originally paid for a superior double to a normal double without any refund for the additional cost. Will definitely not be staying here again due to the terrible customer service and how they treat their customers. The front desk seemed to be more interested in being on their personal phones and chatting with their friends than actually doing their job.

I recently had an unsatisfactory experience with Hotel EXE in Barcelona. I made a reservation through booking.com for June 31, with a cancellation policy allowing changes up to June 29.

On June 28, while still in the US, I needed to cancel the reservation. I canceled immediately, not realizing it was already past midnight in Barcelona, making it June 29. As a result, I was notified that I would be charged a cancellation fee.

I promptly contacted both booking.com and the hotel, requesting a waiver of the fee or a change of dates, given that the cancellation was just one hour past the deadline. Unfortunately, the hotel did not respond to my request. Booking.com followed up, but the hotel only replied two days later, refusing both the refund and the date change.

Despite multiple attempts to reach out directly to the hotel, I was unable to get a response. I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and responsiveness, especially since I frequently visit Barcelona and had hoped for better customer service.

I hope this review helps others in considering their options.

Terrible terrible terrible hotel service and wifi but in a good location .

The wifi in my room is very weak and keep dropping and I couldn’t connect to my device steadily which cause a deep disruption to my work on US time zone .
I paid more than USD 250 plus tax per night to get this type of one star wifi and service .

When I called the reception to seek help ; they insist their wifi is working and even cut my phone off.

I have never encounter this type of treatment before in my entire life of hotel staying .

Runaway from this hotel if you need a strong wifi to work .

Good value for money
The room was bigger than I expected, very clean, the maid came in every day and I had no complaints!
I read some comments that there is noise from the road. Do not worry about this, just ask for a quiet room and they will put you in the back of the hotel, where there is no noise. I was at 803 and it was very quiet!
I did not have breakfast because it was so expensive!
The hotel is very central, next to the most central Metro station. Right next door there is an amazing steakhouse that you should definitely eat there.

The only negative is that the room could have a kettle and two glasses.

The hotel was perfect! I stayed at this hotel during my short visit to Barcelona. It is so close to Plaza Catalunya, the main square of the city where the airport bus arrives and all the busses go from there. There is a great shop just right next to the hotel. It was clean and very spacious, bright room. If only I could stayed longer. Staff was very nice too, they let me leave my luggage there before check in. Also when I entered the hotel I felt a very clean, nice scent. Bravo! I will definitely be back.
