The hotel is comfortable and clean and the staff are very friendly. However, for some reason they play music in the corridors of the hotel constantly between 8am and 10pm. The music is audible in the rooms, so if you want to go to sleep early or sleep in late then you will have to do so with the music playing.
We found this hotel to be a tad dated for the star rating, the price in our opinion was NOT good value for money and we found one waiter to be unfriendly bordering on rude. Will hesitate before returning or recommending
We needed a room in Santa Cruz to let us get an early flight from Tenerife North airport, and this hotel was perfect. Located on a main avenue, a couple of blocks from the Corte Ingles and a 10 minute walk from the historic centre, the hotel is well maintained with modern, comfortable rooms. Due to Covid 19, you had to pre-order breakfast which was then served to you at your breakfast table.
I chose this hotel (again) mainly for its location and surrounding facilities as a central base to meet up with my extended Spanish family for drinks and/or before heading out to join other family and friends. All personnel were very helpful to us all. The Atlantida appears to cater for business seminars/meetings - inland and overseas - so I was a little surprised that sanitising gel was nowhere to be seen (especially in the public areas) given that at least one hotel in the south of the island (and only an hours drive away) had already been under lockdown because of the Coronavirus. As I always travel with hand gels/sanitisers I knew I was - relatively - safe. I was at the hotel from 1-11 March and it was 'business as usual' in Santa Cruz and neighbouring towns but within a couple of days of my departure I received news from a family member that the schools had closed and unless travelling to work, all other non-essential outings were to be avoided. Seems like I got out just in time!:-) Please also note (for reviewers complaining about finding a parking space) that there are more cars than people in Tenerife so use the Atlantida's car park - your nerves will need restringing trying to find a space on the streets.:-) It is understood that all hotels will close, albeit and hopefully temporarily, within the next couple of days. But I'll be back as soon as life returns to normal to visit my beloved family. Meanwhile, stay healthy.…
The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the Auditorio de Tenerife. Check in and check out were quickly and efficiently handled by very polite staff. The room was clean and spacious, albeit a little dark on the 2nd floor overlooking a central courtyard. Were we to return (which we would if we wanted to stay overnight in Santa Cruz again) I would request an outward facing room on a higher floor. This may, however, have cost implications. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been a bonus. The breakfast, included in the price, was very acceptable. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
