We stayed there on our way from Valle Gran Rey to Teneriffe just spend a day in San Sebastian and catch a ferry in the morning. And for both purposes it was good enough. You stay right in the town centre and can reach the port quickly, even with your suitcases on foot. But I cannot imagine a longer stay here. As for la Gomera it is quite an urbanized place, less noisy than you can expect, but still much over the island's average. Staff frindly but invisible for most of the day. If you have a car you must be really lucky to park within 10 minute walk reach - even if you have your luggage to carry. After you have enjoyed the houses of calle del medio and Torre del Conde small park you are left with the crowd of hundreds one-day tourists from Teneriffe and their big coaches and noisy jeeps. Rooms are clean and quite spatious, anyway I know a lot of nicer places in La Gomera. However, it may be a budget friendly and convenient option for committed hikers who do not hire a car but rather use public transport to reach trekking routes in the interior every day...

We stayed here last year & was happy to return again this year. The apartments are in a prime position, 5 or 6 minutes walk from the ferries & just back from the main Plaza.
The staff are friendly & helpful & the building secure. All the balconies overlook part of the plaza & harbour & the bedroom is at the rear which is no bad thing as there is nearly always something going on at the plaza. In 1 Week we witnessed judo, boxing, reggae music, traditional Canarian music, a fashion show, a childrens sports day & more; therefore it can be a bit noisy but it is not a problem as the sound levels are much diminished to the rear of the apartment.
Plenty of cupboard & wardrobe space & the beds are c omfortable.
The kitchen is perfectly adequate with a good kettle, refrigerator & a really good toaster.
Don't expect any more tea bags & coffee after the first day!
Floors are tiled throughout & the furnishings are definitely '60,s-70's-not to everyone's taste but strangely nostalgic to those of a certain age ( myself ). However, the settee & chairs are very comfortable despite that.. Loads of plug points, too which is helpful when one has camera's, 'phones & tablets to charge.
Any time that we return to La Gomera we shall look no further than here.

One of the two 'big' apartment blocks in San Sebastian. Check map readings as some sites has it completely wrong - it is next to the Town Hall, overlooking the main square and five minutes walk from the port - don't take a taxi unless you have a huge amount of luggage.

Very pleasant staff, very central, fairlly basic but everything you need is there.

The town itself is not the most interesting place - you can cover it in about half an hour, but that is not to say that it is not worth staying - we had a very pleasant week there - tried out most of the local restaurants, the local wine and thoroughly relaxed..
One of the nicest restaurants is the Casa del Mar, just round the corner. Great owner, Sol, very interesting, excellent fresh fish.

The town is flat for about half a dozen streets and then climbs fairly steeply. You might want to take a taxi to the Parador at the top of the cliff, about 5 euros, have a drink and wander about the gardens -ignore the 'no go' signs, and definitely don't bother eating there. We have had dinners and lunches in Paradores in Spain since 1973 and are constantly disappointed - the settings are wonderful, the staff great, but the food is generally a disappointment.

Stayed during covid crisis, the staff were very respectful and wearing masks all the time.

Liked - Extremely helpful staff in reception to help with enquiries.
Location is excellent with fantastic sea views....6min walk to harbour, 10min walk to bus station, beach, bar and restaurant outside.
Spotlessly clean and kept throughout.
Great utensils for simple catering. Washing up liquid and cloths for cleaning provided.
Very comfortable beds and sofa/sofabed.
Two working and quiet elevators.
Very quiet patrons as neighbours around us.
Spacious lounge and balcony area.
Safe place to stay right in the heart of everything.
Great value for money.
WiFi fast and free available in lounge/balcony.
Nice choccy wafers!

Disliked · Due to the warm evenings, a fan in bedroom might have been welcomed.
Difficult to get to the reception if immobile or disabled as several steps to undertake.

San Sebastian is (for tourists) only a few streets long. Even during covid, many bars restaurants and shops remain open. It can get windy, most outside establishments have a plastic marquee and WiFi is freely available for patrons.

nice apartment with everything needed for self catering, or just for breakfast production. all apartments with views over the harbour and beach area with screens from the next-door neighbours. short walk from the ferry port, and ten minutes walk to the bus station with routes across the island for those without a car. all restaurants and activities within San Sebastian are close. reception person was super helpful. good value for money

Great location let down a bit by the place needing a bit of a re-furb'...bit of money spending on the rooms i think. Ideal for town & harbour and decent value for money, just a bit run down. Read one of the other reviews saying they stayed here for 8 days.....can't imagine that to be honest!

We normally choose reasonably good quality hotel accommodation on a half board basis for our winter breaks in the Canaries where we like to get out-and-about on public transport in the daytime. Our research failed to turn up any hotels in San Sebastian that appealed so we settled for one of these self-catering apartments knowing that there were numerous good value restaurants within easy walking distance. What an excellent decision it proved to be.
Our apartment was very reasonably priced, clean and well maintained with both kitchen and bathroom in particular having been recently refurbished to 4 star standard. Nothing was too much trouble for the extremely personable receptionist/manager who went out of his way to recommended restaurants and places of interest.
Typically WiFi was only available in the lobby area but that was no great inconvenience.
The most appealing feature of this apartment block however is its wonderful position within easy case pulling distance of the inter-island ferries and close to all the town centre facilities yet far enough away from the (relatively quiet) bars to get an undisturbed night's sleep. Every apartment has a balcony overlooking the beach and harbour with a fresh cruise ship on view most mornings. We'll be back!

We stayed in the Apartamentos Quintero in September for five days. The apartment was clean and spacious with a great view of the bay. It was good to have a kitchen for making breakfast and lunch, but we dined out each night as the local restaurants were good and great value. The supermarket at the bus station has a great selection of foods. We went by public bus around the island; the views were spectacular. We spent a lot of time just walking around the quaint streets of San Sebastien; and some time on the balcony watching the ferries come in and out. The only drawback is the lack of wifi in the apartment. There is wifi in the lobby but there is no socket to plug in the laptop, and my battery is old and dies very quickly. Would highly recommend the Apartamentos as being in the middle of everything, walking distance to the ferry, yet quiet at night. Would love to return.
