In the heart of Seville's old jewish quarter, just 6 minutes walking distance from the Cathedral, a modern service and classic decoration converge in the hotel Las Casas de la Juderia. History fills the air in this magnificent ensemble of 27 fifteenth century traditional houses restored to harmoniously reflect the authentic feel of the serpentine neighborhood that surrounds it. The vibrant colors of the 40 patios (typical Andalusian courtyards) and the friendly service mirror the true character of Andalusia. Fountains, statues and roman amphoras decorate the winding passageways that connect the 134 rooms. Las Casas de la Juderia offers an array of services for your enjoyment: a tapas bar and a restaurant both indoors and outdoors, a rooftop swimming pool to enjoy a selection of tapas and cocktails (May-Sept.), Live music in the piano-bar from Thursdays to Sundays, a spa decorated with roman mosaics, several meeting rooms and spaces to organize events, reunions or seminars, and a large breakfast area located in hotel's "Mirror's Hall." Located in the heart of the city center, Las Casas de la Juderia offers a superbly convenient access to some of the most symbolic landmarks of southern Spain such as the Giralda, Reales Alcazares, Casa de Pilatos and Jardines de Murillo. Parking is ensured by our valets.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A quirky but comfortable hotel in an excellent location. Excellent friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Walking distance to everything. Beautiful architecture. Our room was large and had adequate seating. We very much enjoyed our stay. Recommended!

Fabulous, magical place. The people complaining that there's no view, or that the rooms are a long way from reception, have not understood what the hotel consists of or what an Andalucian patio is. This is a series of (very) old buildings in a complex, full of patios (courtyards) and balconies and bursting with greenery. No complaints with noise in our rooms (admittedly, we were visiting in a quiet season, before Easter); my mattress was super-comfortable, and I'm fussy that way. Staff were polite and helpful. If you want to get a good sense of the place, there are lots of videos on YouTube that will give you the idea. If you want a sleek modern hotel, go elsewhere - if you want a really interesting, atmospheric, historical place right in the old town (and especially if you like plants!) then I absolutely recommend this place. If you have limited mobility, then you would need to enquire - there are lifts, but there are also a lot of narrow / cobbled passages, which might not be wheel-friendly. Access into reception is step-free.

A second visit to a s strange hotel spread over number of properties either connected through a maze of passages or indeed, as we were, in another building - easier reached through narrow lanes. Our room (after a change) was comfortable, though because of location (adjacent a narrow alley) somewhat noisy. Location is great for the main sights with nearby restaurants and bars. Having stayed previously we opted out of the breakfast ( though last time it was a typical euro buffet style)

This hotel is horrible. We are traveling around Spain and made a 2 day stop in Seville. If this is your only option don’t even bother coming to Seville. The rooms smell. We have two rooms. One smells of mold and the other smells like sewage. You pass through a very long, cold, dark underground corridor to get to a room that smells and has one teeny tiny window facing an interior corridor. It is so dark, old and smelly. I cannot wait to leave. The piano bar is a joke and reminiscent of the board game clue. The hair dryer barely distributes air, the shower doesn’t drain, the bed is incredibly uncomfortable and everything is old. They call it quaint. I think it’s creepy.

Amazing hotel with Andalusian character in the heart of the old Jewish Quarter, it has beautiful underground passages to explore along with courtyards leading to the rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are delightful, breakfast excellent. Easy walking distance to the main sites. We would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Seville.

Hotel was fabulous, full of character, a great base for our stay, a quite unique and entertaining place itself. Staff couldnt have been more helpfull, lovely attitude, nothing too much trouble. Ideal location. Book the Alkazar and Cathedral in advance via internet to avoid huge queues. We arranged entrance for 11:00am in both caes which worked well. Red bus tour a good idea.

I checked out after a 4 nights stay (from 14 to 18 February 2024) for a twin beds room that costed me over 1 thousand euros (over 250 euros per night). The first night we were given room number 212 in Casa de Los Cartujos (L). I can put up with the complicated mobility as a price to enjoy a historic place, but room 212 comforts are not those of a 4 stars. I am a frequent traveller and in the last year alone I was a guest in 4/5 stars hotels in London, Paris, Barcelona and Rome. The bathroom smelled sewage, there was no coffee machine, the kettle had no available plug unless I moved the useless TV set stand (the TV set had no Italian channel and the remote control buttons were unreadable), there was no milk, nor sugar for the tea, one of the wardrobes smelled, there was no complimentary water, not even paper and pen. The mattress protector was smaller than the mattress size and therefore came regularly out making a mess in the bed. In order to charge our phones we had to unplug the bed side lamps because there were no other plugs nearby. The following morning, after pointing this out to the reception we got transferred to room 29 in Casa del Corral (D) where we found: a set of complimentary beauty products and bathroom amenities, a coffee machine with capsules (with a leaning cup stand obliging me to keep it in place during brewing), sugar and milk (no kettle though cos either you're a tea or a coffee person...), a smart TV, bathrobes and slippers and free plugs by each bed side to charge devices without unplugging lights, plus a jacuzzi. Paper and pen appeared here in this room. The noise of the WC was just as absurd as in the previous room but we had no night goers next to us. All this was good, but our lift stopped working for 24 hours (my mother is 80 years old and she was not happy to climb the staircases). What I am puzzled with is the following: why on earth have I been assigned room 212 which was TOTALLY UNFIT for the price I paid? Booking tried to obtain a compensation for what happened, but the hotel refused and I got 100€ refund by Booking itself.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic and very attentive staff. A series of buildings interconnected through a basement tunnel network, very unique and a lovely experience. Rooms are perhaps a little dates given the 4 star rating but under stable due to the nature of the building and didn’t distract from the wonderful place.

We recently stayed 4 nights in this lovely hotel, it was in a perfect location for seeing all the sights of Seville. All within easy walking distance. The hotel is so unique, made up of many old houses linked by patios and courtyards, each room is different. You can get lost trying to find your way but it was fun! We had only booked an economy double room but it was perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable with a spa bath and separate shower. Lovely toiletries too! The underground tunnels lead to the breakfast room and the pool and spa, both of which looked lovely but we didn’t find time to use. The furnishings, paintings and antiques add to the the character of this hotel. The service from all the staff was excellent. The only slight negative was the breakfasts, it was ok but could be improved with more food choices and an efficient toaster! We enjoyed drinks in the Piano Bar with a lovely pianist one evening. There are so many good restaurants nearby to eat out. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel.

This collection of buildings and courtyards is intimate, interesting and historically preserved. It is in an ideal location for exploring the historic downtown. The rooms are small, but comfortable. Courtyards are unique, quiet, and beautiful.
