I stayed with a good friend of mine 2 nights (Jan. 6 and 7) and wanted to pamper ourselves so we opted for the Tower Room (price is more expensive than the junior suite). First of all, the hotel is well located (almost next door to the Picasso museum and all vibrant Malaga). The building is beautiful and the staff friendly. Now, our room. Well located on the last floor, no "vis-à-vis", bright room, lovely terrace. Elavetor up to the 4th floor, then private stairs to the terrace and the room. Very clean, beautiful, several windows? But (because there is unfortunately a big But), the bathroom that nobody never commented on: what a disapointment! This is the smallest sink I've ever seen: a tiny single sink (even in a train, the sink are bigger). Could you imagine 2 girls. No place to put our toiletries... I have to say that the picture published on the website is not very obvious and as the pictures of the other bathrooms were so great, we thought it would be the same, staying in an "exclusive room". The person who designed the bathroom did not even think of putting a towel hanger... Looking at the pictures of the other room and having booked this "exclusive room" we were indeed disapointed. Furthermore, there is not heating in the bathroom... They had place to put a heating towel hanger which would be nice especially during the cold nights of January. In terms of service, we were surprised that there was no turn-down service. Therefore, if you take a shower at 5pm, you'll stay with your humid towel until the next day (as there is no heating in the bathroom). This is not at the standard of a Small Luxury Hotel (I'm a member of SLH and I had visited quite a few other properties). The terrace is lovely with an amazing view. When we checked in, few minutes later we were broughts with nice fruits and sweets. But believe it or not, they brought this welcome at 3.25 pm and the following morning it was still there. Obviously no turndown service. Staff is pleasant but some of them are inexperimented. For example, before my arrival I had booked a table at their restaurant Balausta and got a confirmation by mail. However, when we arrived they could not find our reservation. I mention my name, my room number and told them that I was in the Tower Room (anyway there is only one and one only Tower room), they could not find our reservation. Thank God the restaurant was not fully booked so they brought us to a table. Then, a couple of minutes after they came to inform me that they had found my reservation but in Spain the reservation are under the first name and not last name... We are in a 4* hotel... After dinner, our table was full with bread crumbs but no waiter deigned to come and clean the table. And it was obviously the same with the other tables. We had breakfast only on our last day before leaving the hotel. Breakfast is nice. I asked for a tea with lemon and was brought a pot with hot water and lemon inside and a tea bag next to it... Thank God I did not ask for tea with milk as I might have got a pot with hot milk and a tea bag. These are details that may make you smile but are not acceptable for a 4* and especially a Small Luxury Hotel. In conlusion, Tower room is expensive regarding the other categories but you pay for the view. However, I will certainly come back but will ask to be shown the room before and especially the bathroom..

Fantastic service, beautiful building and extremely convenient walkable location. Robertino, Juan and rest of the staff took superb care of us during our 2 night stay. We stayed in the impeccable tower room with magnificent views and private tertace which was perfect to enjoy breakfast in the sun and night time vistas. Hotel is on a pedestrian street but only about 100m away from where car could drop-off/collect us.

We stayed for two nights in this beautiful hotel, very good location and easy access to the main life of Malaga. The overall experience was very good except for some lack of quality service, mainly in the front desk.

We stayed here for three nights last weekend and had just a wonderful experience. The staff were so kind, helpful, friendly and professional. The location of the hotel couldn't be more perfect, right on Calle Granada. This is a street which links two squares and so although pedestrianised, it has lots of foot fall day and night. Some of the bedrooms face the street and so could perhaps be a little noisy, but then the hotel is created in such a way that some rooms face an internal open courtyard and if absolute peace and quiet is essential for you choose one of these rooms. The hotel bedrooms are of a very superior quality and contain the very best of everything, beautiful wood finishes, gorgeous drapes, very generous wardrobe spaces, very comfortable beds and top of the range bathrooms. I could go on ! We enjoyed an excellent breakfast each morning in the beautiful dining room and were so well taken of by Antonio and the team. Freshly squeezed orange juice, lots of fruit, large continental buffet and a full a la carte menu too. The eggs benedict are to die for! Service is high on the list here. The hotel prearranged our airport transfers and it was great to me met at arrivals and whisked off to the hotel. They also arranged for a Doctor to come to the hotel to carry out antigen tests for our return journey and printed out our return home passenger locator forms. All of this made for a very relaxing and stress free visit. I highly recommend a visit to Malaga. It is truly a wonderful city with so much to offer. We look forward to returning to Palacio Solecio.
