This is the hardest review I have ever had to do - so complex to describe. Hotel Castillo de Santa Catalina is not really a hotel - it is a a fantastic wedding venue. Why do I feel it is not a four star hotel? It only has eight rooms and there is no restaurant or bar or swimming

Hello Michael T, as far as I know this hotel is open all year round so a December visit will, I am sure, be possible. In any case, give them a ring as all staff members were very polite and helpful - we dealt with either Patricia, Rocio or Carmen, all very professional and constructive. Good luck!

Limited bar and no restaurant. It's a residential area and about a 10 min walk down hill towards the coast / beach area....you can catch a bus into the centre (about 7 min bus ride). It's a lovely place to stay and there is so much to do in Malaga!

"The lift only services the first level so anything higher will involve a bit of a climb. Not arduous unless you have a problem with stairs."
