This hotel is very modern and clean. Nice rooms. Great staff.
Would have given 5 stars. But there is an issue In the washrooms. There is NO place where you can put your shower gels in the shower. Excepted the bottom floor of the shower itself.
As you can see in the photos this is a huge issue for elder people and a possible hazard. Seniors can not bend so far down to pick up the shampoo or shower gel once they are in the shower. And there is no alternative to put them somewhere else. It’s a big risk for falling when you have to bend down so much.
The hotel must install small shelves in the shower, so people actually can place the shampoo etc on it.
This is critical.

At first we were happy about the hotel, as the room was clean, nice and artsy. We got the room on the high floor as requested, which was nice.
Unfortunately we did encounter some issues with the service level:
1. Our room did not get made, which was very unusual. I could be ok with every second day cleaning, but no new coffee cups were not water was changed.
2. Another unusual issue arisen when we asked to store luggage upon departure. The receptionist made a big issue out of a simple request for storing our luggage while spending the afternoon at the lake. This was weird and very unpleasant service, even though this was allowed at the end (after discussion and reference to iPad in the room that stated luggage storage option).
3. We also asked if we could borrow towels from our room (already used) to bring to the lake. We would return these few hours later upon luggage pick up. However this was not allowed, which is really not very service minded.
Due to poor service level at this hotel, I would not stay again.
Area: The area where the hotel is located is central and you can walk to most tourist attractions within few minutes.
However not much evening activities are happening in the are, hence If you want a more vibrant and young atmosphere- stay in Neustadt on the other side of the river.

Dear guest, thank you for your feedback. It is important for us to hear what our guests think about their stay. It is regrettable that you felt that way about your past accommodation. Our housekeeping team will just enter the rooms every second day to prevent as much contact as possible, because of that they won't refill your coffee or water but you have two opportunities. The first one is to order a daily cleaning or at least a replenishment of these conveniences. The second one would be to ask our colleagues at the reception. They will be pleased to help you. In case of the luggage we are not allowed to store your luggage, because of hygienic issues, but we still offer it in a closed room but without contact, so that you have to put it in by yourself. For the towels we can only tell you that it is no service of ours to lend them for outside usage. We hope for your understanding. A very nice, modern hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the room adequately spacious. There was an odd window between the bedroom and bathroom. The hotel was busy with conference-goers. We had the bar nearly to ourselves until the afternoon session got out, after which the bartenders were overwhelmed with orders from the adjoining dining area. Up until then, we had great, friendly service. The breakfast buffet had much variety and was very plentiful. Coffee was good. Again, the area was very crowded with conference-goers. The hotel is in a good location for walking to some historic sites and is very close to a stop for the hop on/off tour bus. Front desk staff was quite helpful with directions and recommendations.

We enjoyed our stay in this design hotel which is very well located just a few minutes walk from the Old Town and yet in a quiet area. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, would stay again. Interesting modern art and spacious rooms. They are in fact larger than they look on the official photos.

Excellent location for many situations. Parking in garage possible, however payable. Hotel is close to public transport (S-Bahn and train), rooms are small but very clean. Design is interesting with a touch of art. Breakfast menu is very good.

Friendly reception, really good quality rooms and immaculately cleaned. Hotel is situated 10 mins walk out of town but nice in a nice area. Yea definitely recommend and 1 minute walk from the train station.

Staff was good. Location is excellent ( 5 minute walk to the old town). Bathroom was weird...like really weird. Sink was more like a baptismal font...but it worked. Room was a bit warm but very clean. Breakfast was varied and good as well.

In Booking.com website there was no information, that parking was not free. It is important to know this when you are booking the hotel. We paid 41 euros for 2 days for parking, we left the parking and we came back. We were not informed, that we are going to be charged when we come back. There was no information regarding parking prior to arrival and the at the reception we were not clearly informed regarding rules of parking. Parking rules themselves were at the entrance to parking, but we were not informed, that the rules apply to hotel guests as well.

You can’t help but be impressed with the lobby, hallways and rooms sprawled with Penck art! The rooms were spacious.. bathrooms could have been better.
But the reception at front desk and restaurant severely lacking. It was like we were impeding on their afternoon breaks anytime we asked a question. Not overly friendly . We truly felt like an unwanted relative at the holiday dinner.

Liebe Vanessa, alternativ zur öffentlichen Tiefgarage unter unserem Hotel (14,50 eur pro 24 Stunden) können Sie ihr Auto im Parkhaus Mitte (Magdeburger Strasse 1) für 10 eur am Tag parken.
