We are a family of four with a dog sharing a family room. We were driving home to the UK from Italy. Due to france been on the UK's quarantine list we chose to stay in Saarbrucken due to it's close proximity to France and the ability to drive directly from Saarbrucken back home to the uk without quarantine (as we didn't stop in France.) I booked relatively last minute and this hotel was one of the only few in Saarbrucken that ticked all of the boxes - parking available, pet friendly, air con, family room. It is a budget hotel but we were satisfied. Beds comfy, room is clean. The city of Saarbrucken is a short walk. Saarbrucken itself is a city with lots of history to explore we had an interesting afternoon exploring the monuments and ruins within the city centre. Breakfast wasn't available due to covid but there is an Aldi about a 2 min drive so we stocked up there in the morning with plenty of food to see us through France. Also filled up the car with fuel - I was surprised at how cheap Germany is for fuel!!

We had the chance again to experience this budget-friendly hotel. We are on our way to Austria and we don't have the habit of booking a hotel days prior to arrival. We are the type of people who just look up for a hotel via internet when we need it. Just because we had experienced this hotel now it is easier to decide. And they don't disappoint us again. The front desk clerk was friendly. There are vending machine in the lobby and the room was clean. At breakfast, there are enough choices. Surely, you have your money's worth at this hotel.

Looks very nice from the outside but inside is on average level. Still clean. Would require redecoration. Check-in took me around 1 hour. I was supposed to check automaticaly but the room was not ready at 15:00. Had to wait until was cleaned. Very dissapointing.

I've stayed three times in B&B Saarbrücken Hbf and it's a safe choice. Right next to the central station, clean, reasonably priced (excluding breakfast, which is optional), and well connected to the city (approx. 10m walking to the center). If breakfast was cheaper I would also include it in my booking.
