The Metropolitan Hotel by Flemings is located directly at the main train station Frankfurt. All hotspots of the Main metropolis such as the trade fair, Römer or Zeil can be easily reached on foot. In just a few minutes you can also reach the banking district, the trade fair grounds or the airport. 131 modern hotel rooms invite you to a relaxing stay. With soundproof windows, air conditioning, flat-screen TV, safe and desk, your well-being is taken care of.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Metropolitan for the Ambiente trade fair in Feb. The staff at breakfast were mostly un interested & not helpful,l and we had to ask several times for tea coffee before it arrived. Also there should be a no mobile phone call rule - its not very nice trying to have a nice breakfast before you start your day with people on either side of you having business phone calls. There should be a notice before you enter the room saying this. Also tables were not cleared quickly so when we arrived for breakfast at 9am we were asked to wait whilst they set another table dispite more than one table being set and laid ready to sit at!. A couple who walked in after us were show to a table immediately we had to point to a set up table which we were given the ok to sit at! I think considering an over night B & B stay is in excess of £300 the service should be faultless.....especially as you are also having to get breakfast yourself its posh self service at best. I think we will be staying else where next year.

This hotel is near the railway station which is good as there are many eateries in the area and Starbucks nearby for coffee. There are some dodgy types loitering around the station so I did not wander around at night as I am travelling alone. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful by offering additional information and directions. My room was very clean and fully stocked with all the needs for my stay. LOVED the heated floor in the bathroom :)

The front desk staff, a blend of professionalism and warmth, adeptly managed my every request, enhancing my stay remarkably.
The rooms, a harmonious blend of space and comfort, surprised me pleasantly. I opted for a street-facing room and discovered the windows' exceptional ability to mute the bustling city sounds. A highlight was the bathroom, equipped with a luxurious tub that added a touch of indulgence to my stay. Modern amenities like versatile outlets and a mini-fridge for chilled beverages met all my needs.
Fitness enthusiasts will revel in the hotel's well-equipped gym and sauna located on the 6th floor. I have stayed here and reviewed them many times. Same Steady Eddie as always. And bonus points—despite the crazy German mask rules, they ignored my masklessness.
Used to be that breakfast was always included at Steigenburger, but under covid you can pay with or without breakfast.

I haven’t counted the times that I have reviewed (or for that matter the number of times that I have stayed in Steigenberger), but I keep coming back. Steigenberger is about the equivalent of a Hilton. But I find the personnel at Steigenberger very pleasant and helpful.
I didn’t bother to take pictures of the room. Like I say, it is your basic Hilton hotel room. They do have body lotion in little tubes, but not for shampoo or conditioner. They use bottles hanging on the wall. Probably cuts costs.
Steigenberger is not a luxury hotel although it probably has such pretensions, but so does Hilton. This struck me one evening when I had disrobed but wasn’t immediately ready to get in bed. I thought, put on your robe and slippers. Robs and slippers are not provided in this class of hotel.
I am loyal to Steigenberger when I travel solo. It fills my needs. But I will admit, I would be unlikely to stay here with my wife. When we are together, we prefer the kind of hotels with robs and slippers, and for that matter a two room suite where we have a living room separate from the bedroom (not available at Steigenberger). But I hope this rambling does give you a feel for where Steigenberger fits-in in the hotel pecking order.
Steigenberger does offer a nice breakfast with their rooms. It is not optional. It has the usual breads, cold cuts, and juices. But you can also order off a menu and get, for example, eggs Benedict. This trip, because I was always hurrying, I didn’t venture beyond croissants.

Once a post office, this property has been brilliantly transformed into a 5 star hotel. Location is excellent for someone looking to catch a early morning high speed train to/from Frankfurt am Main. Good selection of food in morning breakfast buffet including cheese, breads, smoothies and pancakes. Couteous staff.

There are a number of Steigenberger Hotels in Frankfurt. This one is located directly across from the Hauptbahnhof. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful. I thought the staff were attendant, helpful and polite. I would recommend this hotel for any traveler going to the Messe or if they wanted to spend the night in Frankfurt proper rather than the airport area if making a flight the next day.

The hotel is just over the road from the North Entrance of the Hauptbahnhof so well connected. Friendly staff on check in. Good sized room with comfortable beds, shower and bath. Free bottle of still water. Hostess tray with coffee pod machine and tea bags although not clear how to make tea.

We stayed at this hotel during Euro 2024. The location is perfect, really easy to find just outside the main railway station. On check in we had an issue with the type of room we had booked not being available, but this was sorted out promptly by Thuta Soe, who was friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and of a good standard, and the bathrooms were great, a really good shower. There was a great choice for breakfast and again, the staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here again.

I have not asked for the hotel transfer, actually there's a taxi station outside the hotel very near the entrance, always have taxis waiting there. Very convenient.
There are more places to choose from in the Frankfurt area.
