Pros - Location, location, location.
Cons - The neighbourhood might not be kids friendly, my view from the room is directly opposite a sex shop!
Would definitely come back when I’m next in town.
The rooms are renewed, large enough, clean, bathrooms are nice.
Personnel is kind and professional.
Wifi, included, of good quality.
I didn't have breakfast.
It is a clean and cheap hotel, a good choice if you are not looking for luxury stuff.
New decor doesn’t compensate for the size!
But listen the real bad news are coming:
no A/C !
let me spell this again for you : no Air-condition!!!
It is 30 degrees and no air-condition!
Stuff were nice to bring us a ventilator.
Who granted this hotel with 4 stars??
I doubt that Expedia will allow fake information on their website!
It is a nice 2 stars hotel located close to the main train station that’s it and if you feel like paying for a 4 stars and getting a 2 stars this is the hotel for you.
What a disappointment.
We had repaid the hotel upon reservation and was presented with Tourist tax on €1 per person and per day even though our booking was included all taxes.
The surroundings was not as bad as we thought but we understand why some don't like to walk home at night. It is an area of many mixed nationalities and some were very loud and drunk and could seem aggresive, so we understand why some don't like the area. Being a group of 4 we did not have any problems being our late at night. But access to the pedestrian streets and Christmas markets in the middle of town was easy accessible with only 10 minutes walk, so in that sense the location is rather good.
The room was a Superior Double room quite new, decent size, with fridge and cooking facilities in 1 of the rooms and only fridge in the other. The cleaning seems to be good, and the room has a nice bathroom even though I never understand why the shower is not made so you won't spray water all over the floor.
The breakfast was extra at €12,90 at week days and € in the weekend. It is a sort of Continental breakfast with some additional eastern dishes at it is open until 12, so you can sleep in late. But I had a problem getting clean hot water for the tea, as the water was in a container that probably hasn't been cleaned after being used for tea. It had a brown-ish color and I asked for clean water, but the waiter didn't speak english and seemed not to know how to solve the problem, So I never got clean water and drank juice. We noticed that the food came from a restaurant below the hotel's restaurant on the ground floor. On Sunday many tables was reserved for people coming from outside of the hotel and seems to be family, which made a lot of noice and blocked the entrance of the restaurant.
We enjoyed our stay but will not stay here again, if we come back. We will probably choose another hotel in a better location. And there are many to choose between.
"If you can avoid to have a room with a window that face the street where of the entrance of the hotel, that might be better."Read full review
